Requested for a Western Room/Traditional Room with Mount Fuji View, our room is 211. The couple who owns this hotel are very humble folks, no doubt it is about 10mins walk to the nearest eatery or convenience stores. The next day we woke up to a terrific magnificient view of Mount 🗻!!! We took some photos followed by heading to level 1 for our breakfast! Despite the sun shining into the dining area, the weather was very cold. We had our hearty traditional breakfast set prepared by the hotel, sitting by the windows, enjoying the view of Mount Fuji and autumn leaves! On the 3rd day when we are checking out, I didnt head down for breakfast, when the ladyboss saw me, she is so kind to offer me a cup of coffee before we set off for the station. The ladyboss also asked her husband to drive us to the best scenic view/spot with a best view ofbMount Fuji/Lake Kawaguchiko to take a few nice photos for us before driving us to the train station. Will definitely return back to stay again!

We stayed two nights in this hotel in end of January 2019, my elder son got a flue, we are so appreciated that the hotel owner gave us a strong help, she drived us to see the doctor, helped to translate with doctors, helped to buy medicines, and opened another room for my little son and daughter to avoid the flue transaction. It was warmly stay! Appreciated for the help!

Awesome Japanese type room”
The hotel is located nearest the entrance of kawaguchiko lake and can see the clear view of mount fuji from the room. Need to walk a little bit more approximate 10mins to get the food, convenient store and etc. i didnt see any con parts although it is toilet sharing and bath room.. it is really worth and value for money. Will stay again for my next visit.

We love the view from our room of Mt Fuji. Authentic Japanese Experience, Hotel a bit dated but staff very helpful. Especially Kaiyo speaks very good English. Picked us Kawaguchiko station upon arrival even though we were delayed by the very heavy golden week traffic. It is a about a 20 minute walk to the cable car station which is a plus during heavy weekend traffic. You don't need to endure bumper to bumper single lane traffic to lakeside communities. Our early morning walk around the lake was blessed with jaw-dropping scenery of Mt. Fuji. We see the reflection of the entire mountain in the lake and that alone is worth every penny we spent at Kawaguchiko. The Lakeside Hotel makes it the icing on the cake.

From the moment we arrived the owners of Kawaguchiko lakeside did everything possible to help us, from offering to carry our bags to checking train timetables, recommending restaurants, and driving us to our dinner reservation. We were blown away by the kindness and consideration of the staff and I have to say, our trip would not have been as good as it was without them. The rooms and facilities were immaculate with a commanding view of Mount Fuji (cloud cover permitting), and the amenities provided, from the stylish yukata to the tea in the room, to the razors and shaving cream and tooth paste in the bathroom, made the stay even more comfortable and convenient.

Beyond expectation”
We love our stay in this hotel. We would recommend this hotel and we don't mind to come back to this hotel again someday. The Japanese breakfast was great, we got to taste various kind of Japanese food that we never tried before. Not to mention we had Mt. Fuji as our main view during breakfast. I was skeptical regarding shared bathroom or onsen, but turned out the onsen was cleaned. I enjoyed my first onsen experience in this hotel. All the staff were so helpful and informative, Masa-san was the one who picked us up at the Kawaguchiko station and also dropped our bags at the station again. So that we don't have to go back and forth. They made our days in Kawaguchiko easier. For those who would like to experience Ryokan room style or Japanese room style on a budget, I suggest you to stay in this hotel because other Japanese room style won't be as cheap and good as this hotel. What makes this hotel so special is their service, which was top notch. Masa-san and team, keep up the good work! Regards from Bali

this hotel very nice too me, because very near to kawaguchiko lake, and you can see from your room fuji mountain, you can really enjoy to see this view, like near the mountain. the hotel is very clean, big room, staff very kind and so good. this hotel have onsen. you can really enjoy onsen for free. they offer you take a car to big supermarket, and they pick up you from bus station to this hotel.

Centrally located and accessible by the green and red bus lines from Kawaguchiko station. Rooms facing the car park and playground has a good view of Mount Fuji on a good day. We stayed in a Japanese style room. Spacious and comfortable. Sleeping area and showers and toilets are separate. Open onsen concept (which is also the shower area) We were happy that we had a truly authentic Japanese experience.

Location is a acceptable from the Kawaguchiko train station, roughly 25 minutes walk. You always could call the hotel for the pick up from train station. Breakfast was delicious and it was different good from 3 days stay. Hotel owner is very friendly and speak good English.

Ms Kayo and her Husband are super kind, friendly and thoughtful. Room and toilets are extremely clean and flawless! I highly recommend this cosy and lovely hotel! It is a wonderful experience to stay in a traditional hotel like this. Love everything about this hotel, the excellent service, as well as the the beautiful Mt. Fuji view from the hotel/room. I was in Japan for almost 2 weeks and this was by far, the BEST stay i ever had!!

Pros Location, location and location. Hotel is very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is a hidden gem! Absolutely delicious set dinner menu. Try it. You don't be disappointed. Very close to bus stations. Close walk to the lake and you can view Mount Fuji from your room. Cons Good if coin laundry was available. Restaurants close very early around this area, you have to walk far or go back to the station area. Not a fault of the hotel but to note, especially after a long day of exploring.

The hotel owners are the most welcoming hosts - they pick us up from the station on arrival and offered to pick us up at the end of the day from the station. Our room is clean and has the superb mt fuji view. Tho the walls are thin, we can sometimes hear our neighbours talking but it get quiet after 10pm. The onsen bath is not the best but has everything you need. The closest bus station is stop 7 in from of the herbs hall and just 2 mins walk from hotel. Would recommend this place!

The warmth of being home ”
Located in the intersection of two tourist bus lines - very convenient and 1 min walk to the lake side. Most rooms with Mt Fuji view, weather permitting (I wasn't lucky enough to see it). The best about this hotel is its staff. Family run and super friendly owners. They speak very good English and do everything they can to make you feel at home. They gave me really good recommendations on places to visit and routes to take. The owner also drove me to the station based on my departure schedule instead of their timetable. Oh, delicious dinner and breakfast! Thank you for looking after us!

A very satisfactory experience!!! The hotel can be easily reached after taking off the sightseeing shuttle bus! The room is clean, comfortable and with good view!! We opened the window and then saw mountain Fuji directly!! We had breakfast with the view of mountain Fuji too!! The host is very nice and give us lots of advise about where to go and how to get there!! Recommended!!!
