Great value”
Had a great 3 night stay at kawili resort. Loved the atmosphere of the place and was a fantastic place to spend my last few days in the Philippines. Have made many trips to the Philippines and Kawili is undoubtedly now my favourite place to stay. It was my 4th trip to Siargao and whilst I've stayed in other nice places there, kawili just seemed to have something special about it. Pam is also a lovely person to deal with!

It is relaxing to stay here in kawili resort if you want to unwind and feel the island vibe, this place is recomended.. also the facilities are quite good but its just the wifi is not so strong... but over all this place is awesome! We enjoyed our stay in siargao.

Good location, beside the beach”
It's a perfect place when you just want to chill. It's beside the beach (General Luna beach) but not beach front because there's another resort (currently under construction) blocking the view of the sea. Staff are friendly. We were welcomed by the manager, Bjorn, who is very nice and helpful. The resort only serves breakfast but there are other restaurants around where you can go. Just less than a minute walk there is the Pagoda Bar. It's a nice place to hangout whatever time of the day/night and it's beachfront. And don't forget to catch the sunrise at the beach. It's beautiful! My only bad experience... beware of thief. Even the staff of the resort are aware of it that they will remind you upon your check in to watch your valuables. My bikini I hanged outside to dry was stolen. (I never thought even bikini would be stolen!). But overall it was a good stay. Will I book again in Kawili? Yes

A place we'll go back to”
We stayed in Kawili for 3 nights at a nice loft type cottage. It's just a few meters from the beach front and is located at the center of General Luna. We were assisted by Pam who made arranging for trips and surf lessons easy. We're excited to see the pool and the bar that are soon to be finished. This resort definitely deserves two thumbs up. Don't hesitate to book here.

Definitely coming back! ”
Place is conveniently located near restaurants, bar, beach, stores, etc. Room is very nice, very affordable too. Staff are friendly. There's just some power interruption on our first day so AC and water are not working. It was fixed the next days though. So we will surely book here again when we come back later this year. So awsome”
Located 500 m from General Luna, it's the perfect location for both surfing, going to restaurants and bars and to the beaches. The staff is super helpful and attentive and will arrange everything from motorbike rentals, to bar hopping. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch and smaller dishes all day, and they arrange dinners about three times a week for those who stay there and other surfers and travelers. Don´t miss out on their great parties and be sure to grab a conversation or ten with the nice, Swedish owner, Robert. We just loved our stay at this wonderfull resort, and we will come back as soon as possible. Love! Ida & Knut Norway

Best Time in Kawili”
We had the best time in Kawili Resort. It had everything we need. The room is huge for our group. The beds are comfortable. It has a guest kitchen that we can cook. Saves us a lot of money. It has it’s own pool as well. And it’s a few steps away from the beach. It also has a roof top that we can chill and watch the sunset. The downside is that, there are black granules falling off the roof. Not sure what it was though. It gets on the bed, we had to clean it up everytime. Also, it will be nice to have someone everytime we need something. On out last day, before checking out, we didnt have water and we could not get a hold of anyone.

Great Location, Friendly People!”
Kawili had a great location, super close to the beach. It was also walk-able to a number of restaurants and the people were so nice! Everyone was friendly, guests included, and it's a fun place to be. Note: if you're looking for a "party hostel" this is not your place. It was blessedly quiet at night. So if you're looking to relax near the beach, this is an awesome pick! The WiFi was hit or miss, but worked a decent amount of the time. That's all of Siargao, though!

Convenient location”
We stayed at Kawili for 3 nights. The staff especially Pam is so accomodating. I love the coziness and warmth of the place and of course the friendly dogs -:) I hope they can still improve their wifi connection but overall the place is really a value for money and nearby are several Restaurants to dine in. Gujab Robert, Pam and the staffs 👏👏👏

Great place”
Lovely vibe, great bungalows, great location, great staff, great garden ..... loved the place. Yes the water is funky / sulphurous .... it's from a deep well. Yes there are geckos .... you are in the Philippines / Asia. Yes it is humid ... like the rest of the island. The breakfast was excellent value. The beer cheap too. Having seen some other places where we lunched ...... thank heaven we stayed here. This place does actually look like the photos. The aircon kept the whole family room cold ... yum. The balcony was a great place to chill with an ice cold beer. Would definitely recommend.

Nice island Vibe”
My friends and I stayed at the Kawili resort for 2 nights on December 2014. Upon arriving, we were informed by the staff that they are not aware of our reservation. They had to call the owner, who was very accommodating, and later personally confirmed us our booking. The Resort is composed of several cottages with a mini bar/restaurant at the center. It is steps away from the beach, but not beachfront (can't view the sea from the cottages, but they have a gate at the end of the resort that leads to the beach). We got the Loft style Deluxe Room good for 4 people. The room design was beautiful, quietly placed at the far end of the resort, and has its own veranda with clothesline to hang our wet clothes. What I liked about our stay was the very friendly and accommodating staff. They even shared us stories about the Island and pointed us to good restaurants around town. However, there are two things that should be considered: First, no security guards. Although we were never in any danger during our stay, we did not feel very safe. Oh, and the staff don’t stay at the resort everyday, which discovered before we left. We were catching the first ferry trip to Surigao City that morning, so we had to leave the resort at 4am. We were planning to inform the staff of our early check out the night before, but did not find anyone at around 10pm. Thinking they might still be outside partying, we decided to just knock on the kitchen cottage before we check out. However, we did not find any staff in their sleeping quarters that morning! Since we have a ferry to catch, we just left the key with the dishes piled up at the kitchen counter. Second, our room was partly made of wood. That itself was not a problem, until we realized that what we were stepping into were not small piles of sand from outside but small piles of wood pellets (possibly from wood boring insects, since we saw many holes in the wood). I think the room might need a pest inspection.

Chill stay..and Value for money”
The resort has one of the best locations. Very near to the restos , sari sari store, bike rent and boat rental area. Resort is Near the beach. The place is very relaxing,clean, with an open kitchen (24hrs) and free flowing service water.. I like the ambiance of the place,very private , its not crowded and not noisy. I like it that the guest are mix.. both Filipinos and Foreigners .. Despite that they were having renovations during our stay, it wasn't noisy at all.. The resort is not expensive ( I hope it will stay that way :) ) The staff was accommodating.. And I love it that they have friendly dogs..

The resort exceeded our expectations.”
It had a nice quiet location right on the strip of the central area of Siargao. It is also only a few minutes away from Cloud 9. Staff are very nice and accomodating, they end up being more like your friends actually. The room we stayed in was very spacious but could use a few upgrades in terms of facilities but otherwise great. They also have a rooftop with a nice view of the beach where you can hang out and waste the day away.

Someone Broke Into Our Room :(”
It was our second time in Kawili. The first time was in 2014. They just renovated the room we stayed at (same room last time we were there), which made it more spacious for a group/ family. We love the beach near the resort and also the laid back ambience. Unfortunately, we had an incident in our room on the first night. Someone broke into our room, took our bags outside and took all my friend's cash (hers is the only bag with wallet and purse) while we were asleep. Luckily, they did not take our gadgets (gopro, slr and mobile phones). They were just interested to get cash, even the coins they took. It was scary because we are a group of 4 girls. The resort have cctv per room. However, when they tried to review the footage for that night, the memory was corrupted. The incident was reported to the police but since the cctv will not work (strong evidence), the case will be unresolved.

Kawili is near everything. The public beach at the back is awesome. Clear and clean water. The staff are friendly and courteous. At Kawili, it is like having an extended family from different countries. Always worth booking.
