Lovely hotel in a wonderful surrounding”
The family villa was quite spacious, a lot of wood and would easily give room for five people. The room is clean and there is plenty of water for showering. The whole resort is floating on the lake. Kids love the place for swimming, free kayaking and the jump tower out in the lake. The food in the restaurant comes in big portions and is very tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and would go there anytime again. By the way - there were no mosquitoes at all! A really nice place to relax and enjoy the water.

Gorgeous Location and Views... Poor Service!!”
We booked Keeree Warin for the experience of staying in an Overwater Raft Villa, fully understanding the accommodations would be minimalistic. However, the $150 per night we paid for a family villa was not worth the experience! The room itself is fine... hot outdoor shower, lounge chair and table on patio and a relatively comfortable bed. The property is a bit rundown with uneven plank walkways, broken boards and a few rusty spots on the ladder out of the lake. There was only one outlet in our room and it was broken, so we couldn't charge camera batteries or iPads... all of which we could deal with. However, once we arrived at the hotel, following the 1 hour longtail boat ride, we were virtually "stuck." There was VERY little English spoken by the staff, which made it difficult to communicate at all... ordering food, scheduling transfers to the pier for departure and trying to find out about tours. They didn't seem to have any tours available to see wildlife, the Coral Cave or to travel deeper into the lake to experience the beauty at sunset or sunrise. The most disappointing thing though, was the almost unfriendly, unhelpful attitude they all seemed to have... as if we were an inconvenience, including playing music at a very high volume that could be heard in our room, while we chose to stay on the lake for the peace and quiet. We booked through Agoda for 2 nights in a Family Villa and had an email confirmation showing full payment and room type. At breakfast, following the first night, we were shown on their paperwork that we had a standard room for the second night and were told we would have to move. We had to take time out of our day to travel to a part of the lake where cell service could be obtained to call their boss and sort everything out. I recommend taking an overnight lake tour from one of the hotels in Khao Sok that offer it. With the lack of wildlife, a 1 night rafthouse stay and longtail tour of the lake is quite sufficient. Stunning views though

Beautiful Bungalows in Remote Location”
We had first booked a room at the resort but when we got there we saw it was just a hot room above the kitchen and we upgraded to one of the beautiful bungalows. I definitely wouldn't go there to stay in anything but the bungalows. They are well kept and big enough for a family with an upstairs sleeping part. We also enjoyed the food cooked there and found the staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, but lies, hustling and poor management.”
The hotel is stunning. The nature is beautiful, and its impossible not to be wooed by it. But the buck stops here. The hotel will try to extort Money from you anyway possible. First they charge 2000THB for the transportation, which is not written anywhere on my booking confirmation. That is more than a Full Day Lake tour. Then you Think you Can go cayaking, but the promised boat at your bungalow comes with no paddles. Cause they are 500THB PER PADDLE. The promised cayak, which is included in the Price and advertised on their website, is pretty useless without the paddles, so there goes another 1000THB. I could paddle around the Phi Phi islands for 4 hours for the Price of one paddle. Absurd. Also not written anywhere. Then when you go for lunch/dinner, they Will charge you triple the Money a normal meal in Thailand costs, and the quality of it is plain bad. At the end their driver told us he would take us to our resort, but he dropped us off in Ban-Tak-Khun, took our Money, and left.

great service but quiet hard to go the airport”
Very great service from staff and the food was good too. The transport is quiet expensive to get here ( I paid bath for a private car airport-Dam and around bath for a long-tailed boat) I suggest to do by group or find someone to share( You can call the resort office, must helpful) Last thing, There is no phone signal at resort !!!

beautiful place and pure nature”
The Resort is very beautiful. It is away from any civilisation in the middle of the lake. No telecomunication no internet, it is perfekt. The small house are schwimming houses and clean. The breakfast is good and the staff is really friendly.

the best location i have ever stayed in.”
this is a floating hotel set in the mountains on a massive lake, which has a fantastic array of wildlife that you can see and hear all around the hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful, don't expect luxury but if you like adventure and trying something new try this hotel.

Good location, basic but acceptable room”
The resort offers standard rooms but these are not great and common toilet facilities are a distance away. Do pay a bit more and get the villas which sleeps 4, has a small private toilet and the shower is outside but has gas heated hot water. The villa comes with 2 fans but electricity is only turned on from 6pm to 6 am. Food at the resort is basic but acceptable and hot beverage is available on self service.

Interesting place”
We had an unusual visit... in the fact that there were absolutely no other people staying at the hotel when we were there. There were 5 staff and 5 of us in my family. I have a mixed feeling about the place. The lake is beautiful. The mountains are beautiful. The floating bungalows are clean on the inside, but like many places in Thailand, the resort is kinda sloppy and/or run-down. We enjoyed our night there and my picky daughter said that we should have stayed 2 nights... so she approved. To get to the bungalows you have to find the dock near the dam and hire a boat to take you out. There was a woman down at the dock with KeereeWarin resort written on her back, so I trusted that she would get us to the right place on the lake. First, we went up the hill from the dock and she had me pay for an entrance fee at a ticket booth. 300 Baht per adult / 150 baht kids. Then she got a boatman that cost 2800 baht - who would sleep in a bungalow and drive us back the next morning

Great hotel to get away from everything!”
The views from this hotel are amazing and the little huts are great, but avoid the standard rooms as they don't have the best facilities and get too hot at night. It was great to be able to have free use of the kayaks and inner tubes to make the most of the lake and definitely go and explore the surrounding jungle.

Wow, Thailand is amazing...worst hotel ever”
So first let me say I have lived in Thailand for 9 months, I have been all over the islands, North, South and East. I've been to Cambodia and Loas as well. Southeast Asia is full of scammers and if you are clueless or on a short holiday trip you won't notice or care. After booking the hotel I was told the boat trip from the pier to the hotel would be included. Then when I arrive its 2000 baht. I explained I wasn't a tourist and showed my work permit and was given a discount (1500 round trip). Then we arrive and the standard room is 7feet by 9 feet with 2 small thin mattress pads on the floor. The fan doesn't work in the hottest part of the day because the power allowance doesn't come on til 630pm and ends at 5am. Now its time to eat. The menu is in Thai on one side and English the other. But the best part is there are different prices for the same things. Thai price for Thai people and High price on the English side for foreigners and tourists. After seeing this we were annoyed to say the least. Lastly the rooms are directly above the kitchen and restaurant. So if you want to sleep you have to wait for the last guests to go to sleep. Then morning comes and we were awakened at 530am by boats starting and guests leaving on "morning safaris". So if you want to be ripped off, sleep for 6 hours in a tiny hot room, get horrible service and get treated like an invader go ahead and stay at the worst hotel in Southeast Asia.

Good location but mismanaged and overpriced”
it is a hugely overpriced place with not much to offer in return. the price is additionaly added by the cost of boat transfer from the dam - around usd70 one way and there is no another option. total is the equivalent of a good resort in phuket or a 5 star hotel in bangkok. the accomodation is in nice and clean bungalows over the water and actually it is the only bright point. than unfortunately goes quite a list of things which you will not like: - each bungalow has an outside half-open shower. facilities are worn and dirty. - the electrical generator noise kills the ambience. it goes all night and even louder during the day. - there are no tracks to go outside, absolutely no trekking is possible from the place. you are confined to the bungalow. either boats or kayaks are the only options available to get out. - staff does not know anything about sorroundings, is not willing to give you any information and barely speaks any english. no tourist information is available, no services, trips or guides. all that has to be arranged externally and before. - basic and limited food. the "resort" has a canteene but only basics are available and the prices are outrageous. - overpowering incompetence and lack of dedication from the staff.

Nice place, overpriced food, disinterested staff”
Upon arriving at the Dam, we were told we had to pay for a longtail boat which was not included in the price of the room. When we get to the hotel, the room is small and a dormitory on top of the restaurant (not explained in the room description), so we upgraded to the floating bungalow for an extra (ouch!). Those rooms are pretty sweet if you can afford them, and the moonlit night on the lake is perfect for swimming! They had several activities including a hike to a viewpoint, coral cave, and a hike to Nam Taloo cave (all for an extra fee of course) and a really cool diving platform out in the lake. The staff was a little rude, even for Southern Thailand, and the breakfast was pretty basic. All in all, everything was good, but expensive. My advise: book through a local tour company instead of online.

Overpriced, poor facilities, disaappointing”
When we got to the pier, we had to wait for 30 mins for a rep to arrive who then informed us of the really high price for the boat transfer. After another half an hour negotiating, we managed to get a better price and got on the boat. Be aware that it takes almost 1 hour to reach the resort by boat. The boat ride was nice in itself, and that's the only positive about this stay. We were given a "standard" room which is equivalent to a night hostel in Bangkok. The room is in a loft of the resort restaurant and very noisy at meal times. If you have noisy guests as we had, be prepared to spend half the night being kept awake. The shared bathroom is a 5 minute walk, including crossing an old rickety floating walkway which isn't exactly safe or convenient for a nighttime visit to the bathroom. There were frequent power cut during our one night stay. If you have booked already, ensure you pack a torch or just lose the money, as if we had known, we wouldn't have bothered. Breakfast took almost an hour to be served, and it was terrible. Sorry for complaining a lot, but we couldn't wait to get out of there and if we were offered to stay there again for free, we would certainly decline.

Good place to relax your mind, good staff and the resort provided us nice local food.

nice location but definitely not the resort”
there are 4 of us , we booked the family room , the reason we booked this resort is the all day electricity which they has been advertised but when we got there , there is no electricity for us to use at all , we can't use the fans or any lights , in the day time is bearable but night time is horrible, the staffs are not very friendly and welcoming us , their reservation team aren't professional , they told us our booking from AGODA isn't confirmed , even we had a confirmation paper to present them at their check in desk. then they called the reservation staffs , they told other bookings aren't check in today so we can replace their room. we were very dissapppointed. the FB staffs are very slow on taking order and cookings , basically i would say its a local running hostel 2 stars. inside the room , the sink isn't clean , the bathroom is so small , not convenient at all. the breakfast is under standard. they even ruined the environment by digging a whole to throw in for the resorts trashes and garbages.

Fun stay!”
This was a great spot! A bit rustic, which we loved but some might not like. Our beds were mattresses on the floor. There was also a window on the floor where we could look at the water below. Very cool! I felt like I was at summer camp.

It was fun, but not worth the money”
My 7-year-old son had a lot of fun but I'm afraid my wife and I were not at all impressed. First, the position of the hotel as given is incorrect. Second you cannot drive to the hotel and there is no car park despite the description stating that there is; the hotel is inaccessible by road. Neither are there any shops. Third, when we arrived at where we thought the hotel was, we found that we had to take a 50 minute long-tail boat ride to get to the site and there is no mention of this. Now it gets really Taccy: we phoned the number of the hotel and found that we were talking to a rep who was 50 metres away. She breezily told us that it was another THB2,500 (US$85, GBP(£)52),one way, to get to the hotel. I have lived in Thailand long enough to recognize a Thai scam when I see one, so told her we would think about it. 20 minutes later it was THB1,200 both ways and including a "Safari". This I accepted, reluctantly. We had booked a "Family Villa" for 1 night and found there was no difference between that and the standard room. The other guests were all Thai and I discovered that they did not pay anything like the rates that we did. The hotel has seen better days but was never, ever, even a one star establishment. As mentioned, the Thais payed nothing like this amount and it is a typical Thai scam. IF the boat fare was included in the original cost and IF we had been warned as to its necessity and IF we had the same rates as the locals we might not have come away with the feeling that we had been totally ripped-off. Beautiful scenery, but we will never go again.

Amazing location has now become a racket.”
The lake is beautiful, the huts are kinda neat, the boat ride is fun but because of so much tourism, it has become a huge racket! We took our family of five (3 kids) onto the lake and needed two rooms for our family. So we splurged and paid about $400.00 for one night. However, when you arrive at the pier, they (both the lodge and the independent water taxi company) dinged us for $140.00 water taxi to take us out to our room (even though the posted rate was $90.00). Only after we paid they told us we have to pay another $60.00 to get into the boat because it is in a national park. The 1 hour boat ride took us 3 hours because of the broken motor which meant we got there just before dark only to see a huge "checkout at 9am" sign behind the desk. This gave us very little time to enjoy the place. The beds were infested with ants (which I can live with since it's in the jungle but at that price) and the rooms were pretty run down. The restaurant was aware that it had a monopoly on food.

Unforgettable Loction”
Amazing place!! We where in the rainy season which created the most amazing landscapes! All the rest needs improvement! The prices of the boat getting you there and the bungalows are outrages! The place needs maintenance and there is no hot water. The food was simple and delicious. For us, the experience of the sceneries made everything else durable. It was the rainy season that made nature so beautiful
