We stayed at Keio Plaza Hotel for six nights and I would say that the location, service and amenities were very good. The room, although a bit dated, was clean and spacious. The room was also wifi ready but we were not able to use it since we rented a portable wifi device. The staff was very courteous, everyone was welcoming and accommodating. Keio is strategically situated in the heart of Shinjuku. It is close to the main Shinjuku Station which allows easy access to all points in Tokyo. It is near to many restaurants and shopping centers yet its location is great as it is in the quieter part of Shinjuku. There is a convenience store in the hotel building which was very helpful to us in case we have forgotten something we needed to buy for our son or in case we wanted to have a quick snack. Keio is a very convenient place to stay. The Airport Limousine Bus would pick up and drop off right at the hotel, even the tours would pick up at Keio. We also availed of the free shuttle service to and from Disneyland and Disneysea the hotel provides its guests upon reservation. Accommodation in this hotel is quite pricey but with its excellent location and big rooms by Tokyo standards, I think it's worth the price.
Very enjoyable stay, will choose this hotel again”
It was our first trip to Japan. We really enjoyed Tokyo and our stay at Keio Plaza Hotel. The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The amenities at the Plaza Premier Room was good, e.g. capsule coffee maker, L'Occitane toiletries and free Wi-Fi. Stunning view from the room looking over Cocoon Tower and Shinjuku skyline. The hotel is located just a few minutes from Shinjuku Station, department stores, local eateries and office towers. Airport Limousine Bus from Narita and Haneda Airports stops at the hotel. Smooth and efficient check in and check out. The concierge was very helpful with the bus ticket reservation. Con: the TV only comes with Japanese channels and international news channels (CNN and BBC). There was no other English channel. Anyway, we did not go to Tokyo to sit in our room and watch TV, so it was not a major issue. We will choose Keio Plaza Hotel again for our next trip.
Good convenient location, quiet, free good neighbour shuttle bus to Disney resort”
Food for 2 restarants identical (western buffet and mixed buffet with western and Japanese) even though given 3 choices of restaurant for breakfast. Enjoyed breakfast at Japanese Kagari restaurant though. Location is convenient as hotel is walking distance from Shinjuku main station and another station (toei line). Opposite tokyo metropolitan govt building where u can go to the observational tower for free. Free good neighbour shuttle bus to and fro Disney resort useful especially after spending more than 12 hrs at either Disneyland or disneysea. There is a small convenient shop located in the basement of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who can communicate in English fairly effectively. Walking distance to Shinjuku shopping and nightlife area. Hotel room was spacious, especially if you plan to buy alot as the extra space helps in terms of packing. Hotel was clean, everything was working. Overall enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend others to try Keio Plaza Hotel.
A reliable Tokyo favorite”
this is our third time staying at the keio plaza. we love this hotel for its great location, a short walk to shinjuku station which has all the major train lines and bus lines. along the way, there is a great variety of restaurants and shops to browse. shinjuku also has a huge underground shopping area called a subnade adding to the many choices aboveground and in the station. it's also perfect for when it's raining or very cold outside. the hotel itself is huge but service remains personalized. the airport limousine service stops right at the hotel and the bellhop quickly helps with luggage. check in is quick and efficient and this time, we were given a huge room with a lovely view of the tokyo skyline in the south tower. the bathroom is a nice size with good amenities except no lotion so bring your own. there's also green tea in the room but no coffee which was fine as we are not coffee drinkers. all in all, a great hotel for a short holiday in tokyo. tip: try the himawari sushi place very near the burger king which is between the hotel and the station. superior sushi and sashimi at very reasonable prices!
Comfortable and Enjoyable”
Our stay at Keio Plaza Hotel is great. First of all, they are included in the route of the Airport Shuttle Bus. Second, we can see Tokyo and it's surrounding area by going up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for free and located in front of the hotel. Third, they are included in Tokyo Disneyland's Partner Hotel which provides free shuttle to and from the theme park. Fourth, the hotel is located close to Shinjuku train station. Fifth, there are department stores, restaurants, and mini-marts located within the vicinity. Sixth, located at the basement of the hotel are restaurants, convenient store, and bread shop. And Seventh, for one day, we can see Mount Fuji from our hotel window!!! Check-in and Check-out is a breeze. Will stay again in this hotel when we return to Tokyo!!!
Great Holiday and stay at Keio Plaza ”
I just arrived to Shinjuku from Osaka, The experience I had for accomodation in Osaka that I booked on Agoda had been awesome and was looking forward to the accomodation in Shinjuku. However I booked my hotel online on another very popular website indicating the same number of pax - 3 pax. When i checked in the room, I had a very small room with one very small bed. I went to the reception and said how can you give me such a small room for 3 person with only 1 bed ? The hotel service there was horrible. I immediately checked under Agoda and found this wonderful hotel - Keio Plaza and I moved from the horrible and bery popular hotel to Keio Plaza. The experience was amazing and the rooms were large with 3 beds. The location was fantastic and my kids and I had fun walking to town from our hotels as we passed so many awesome places to discover. Keio hotel also provided a smart phone for free which was so helpful. I also left my wallet at the hotel and the staff kept it for me !
It was our first time in Tokyo, from others they recommended to stay in Shinjuku. and i heard a good recommendation about Keio Plaza as a good hotel and convenience to stay, as it was surrounded by good restaurant and lots of shopping area and near train station. As for the room, we booked Plaza BIZ Plus with a queen bed. it was a good size room, and the bed was comfortable. Also we had a wireless internet for free. a plus point for us. For the Staff, they were very helpfull and everyone can speak english verywell. Concierge was good on showing us how to go around by train. we were also used their free shuttle bus to Disney Sea. and From - To Airport , we were just using Airport Limousine, Drop off and pick up from hotel. very convenience. We had a good stay with Keio and already planning our next visit to Japan and defenetly will stay at Keio again.
Our family of 5 (hubby and I, plus our 3 children in their 20s) enjoyed our stay here. It is located in a quiet area of Shinjuku but is a mere 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Shinjuku Station is 10-15 minutes away but you wouldn't mind the walking as you'd be busy looking into shops and checking out restaurants along the way. On the other side of the huge Shinjuku Stn are more shops and restaurants. Our rooms were a good size and came with smart phones which proved to be very useful (esp. for families whose older children tend to wander off). The bathroom, as in most bathrooms in Japan, have high-tech water closets and L'Occitane hygiene and skin care products. Breakfast is a choice of 3 restaurants but Glass Court was the popular choice as it offers a mix of Western and Japanese cuisine. That being the case, expect to spend 10-15 minutes of queuing if you come down at 8 a.m. As Keio is a popular hotel, expect some amount of queuing, too, at check-in. Foreign exchange ATM machines are available at one end of the lobby. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay at Keio Plaza Hotel.
Great location with huge room at good Price”
the keio plaza is modern, simple and convenient. it is located in central tokyo and is 30 minutes from the entrance to the expressway which leads to the main parts of the city and to narita airport which is 90 kms away. the rooms are painted in soothing shades and they are comfortable and functional. satellite tv, japanese bathrobes and tea-making facilities are in each room. there is a chinese restaurant called nan-en which serves authentic chinese cuisine from different regions of the country and a japanese restaurant called kagari which serves some surprisingly exciting japanese dishes. cleanliness, efficiency and functionality are the hallmarks of the keio plaza hotel. to continue with your reservation at keio plaza hotel, please enter your arrival and departure dates into our secure online form
Excellent Location and Comfortable Stay”
We stayed in the renovated double room in the main tower. The room with neutral decor is big by Japanese standard. The housekeeping staff has done a great job in keeping it clean daily. We had a really comfortable stay. The staff from the Bell Captain and Reception were all polite, friendly and efficient. Keio Plaza is a designated stop for the airport shuttle bus. Tickets can be bought in the arrival hall of the Haneda Airport and the Bell Captain desk in the Hotel - an absolute hassle free arrangement. The west entrance of the Shinjuku station is about five minute walk from the hotel. We found it very convenient especially we made a couple of day trips outside Tokyo. We took western buffet breakfast in one of their cafes daily. The selection was standard but adequate. We also had a teppanyaki dinner at the hotel. It was certainly very special: high quality of food and attentive service. We felt very pampered. No doubt, we will choose to stay here again in our next visit to a Tokyo
Best Off-park disney Hotel”
We had great time in Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo and really want to stay here for longer. Room was so nice and very clean. Internet and wifi were available. Staff were so helpful and they helped us a lot for useful suggestion. We love this hotel and widh to turn back soon. more Superb location in the middle of shinjuku, close to shopping, restaurants, and of course Shinjuku Station. Roomsize was pretty good by japanese standard - Staff very friendly and helpfull. korean BBQ restaurant on groundfloor comes highly recommendable, with very tasty dishes and excellent service.
Keio Plaza, Tokyo”
The Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo is somewhat old and looks its age from the outside. However, it's a different story once in the hotel. It's general areas are lively and busy in a positive sort of way. You get the impression that it's alive yet one does not get the disorganised, haphazard and messy feeling which is so common with hotels which are popular with groups of tourists. The Keio is not cheap but is worth every extra Yen which we paid for it. The rooms are well appointed and very well maintained. Room service has been excellent and housekeeping second to none. We will most certainly stay in the Keio when we are back in Tokyo again. However, it has to watch its price!
Excellent location, staff and restaurent”
This is my first stay at Tokyo, Shinjuku. I am blessed that I am staying at this hotel for my 4 nights stay. The hotel got the bus shuttle to Tokyo Disneyland, however you need to book early subject to availability. If not I may suggest just taking JR Train which is convenient and good riding experience with fair price. The hotel got convenient shop and plenty choices of restaurant. If you like jogging, I strongly recommend you to have a good jogging session around the hotel and Shinjuku. It is an amazing experience. Cheers for Keio Plaza Hotel and I wish I will come back again soon. Thank You
Great location and suites at very reasonable rates”
Keio Plaza Hotel is at an extremely good location with newly renovated suites at very reasonable rates for Tokyo standard. Being so near Shinjuku station have its many pluses - access to great food and shopping. (To the ladies - Keio provides Loccitane toiletries in Plaza Premier suite). Another plus is that the airport limo from Narita Airport stops right in front of the hotel. You will enjoy free shuttle (to and fro) Disneyland resort. In fact, we may even not stay in Disneyland vicinity in our next trip and shuttle from Keio instead.
The perfect stay!”
Everything about this hotel was amazing! The place was incredible, very large rooms, clean, amazing bathroom products were great quality (branded products) and staff went above and beyond to help. The free shuttle bus was a bonus. The hotel has lots of restaurants and shopping stores to visit (reminded us of a mix between a hotel and department store) and art gallery. Having been there in the middle of winter, there were a few very painfully cold nights where it was difficult to walk around outside as it was so incredible cold, so the amenities were a bonus. After changing hotels last minute due to a horror of a hotel we had previously arrived to, the Keio Plaza was the ultimate experience and ensured we left Tokyo on a high. They accomodated us beautifully! Well placed around the corner from all the night life in Shinjuku and the main train station. The only thing which was a bit painful was the wifi as it kept disconnecting when we left the room even though we were still inside the
Impressive customer service”
We were utmost impressed by the customer service provided by Keio Plaza Hotel. One of us left a package behind in our hotel in Osaka and the staff at the reception was kind enough to call the hotel and arrange for the package to be delivered to Keio Plaza Hotel. The hotel rooms we stayed in were big, comfortable and clean. The hotel is also located relatively near to Shinjuku station, so getting around Tokyo is not a big problem. No complaints!l whatsoever! :)
Shinjuku Keio Plaza Hotel is Family's Best Choice”
Shinjuku Keio Plaza Hotel is an English-Speaking village where world-wide customers find their hearts' desire. Besides Satisfactory Service, Shinjuku Keio Plaza Hotel earns " Family's Best Choice" reputation in Tokyo Japan, which satisfies Mothers' Needs with Secured Equipment/ Capacity while staying with babies/young kids. Thank you, Shinjuku Keio Plaza, once again!
Good hotel in Shinjuku”
The hotel itself is very nice - clean comfortable rooms, quite a wide variety of good restaurants and shops inside the hotel. The breakfast buffet is quite popular and often has a long queue of people outside. The service is quite efficient especially with booking your airport limousine ride to the airport. I was quite impressed as the concierge handled all of this for us quite efficiently. Keio is conveniently located near a lot of eating and entertainment spots, both high end and touristy/low end. There are a few malls that are about 10-15 mins walk from the hotel, where the Shinjuku station is. This is another area where you can find some really nice places to eat and shop. The busy area 2 streets away from Keio, with all the neon lights, has a lot of restaurants and drugstores where you can have your fill of drugstore make up and skin care products. A walk down this area can be confusing but also entertaining. All in all, Keio Plaza is a good hotel and is good value for money. I would rate this hotel 4 star, however.
Best Hotel in Shinjuku”
We had a lovely room, very spacious, clean, quiet. The bed was awesome and the pillows were a little hard for us but we slept very well. The food at the Japanese Restaurant was the best tasting. We ordered the Sakura complete meal and was not disappointed. The Crystal buffet in morning was very delicious. The customer service was excellent!!! We will be back to book at this hotel definitely. helped us Chk in, hold our luggage, make dinner reservations, and upgraded our room. The Hotel is lucky to have him as he exemplified customer service! Our experience with Keio Plaza started on a positive note because of his services. The ambiance of the Hotel with the crystal chandeliers, the most beautiful flower arrangement in the foyer, and we even witnessed the new floral arrangement being done by a guy. The Shinjuku train station was a very short walk from Keio. Very safe and Odakyu, Keio Dept, n Lumine was right there!
Great Location with Great Room !!”
It was a great stay in Keio Plaza. It is just few minutes walk from the Shinjuku Train Station. If the travellator is on, you can rest your feets on it and it will bring you to the hotel !! Just follow the signboard to the Tokyo Metropolitan Tower. Travelling in Tokyo can never to so easy if we did not stay in Keio Plaza. The room is huge, so is the toilet and with a promising Tokyo city view. Love it !!
