"Actually this hotel was recommended by my friends whose always staycation here. We booked a Superior Twin Room which is suitable for 2 Adults & 2 Kids. Hotel room is equipped with basic facilities- Internet, Dryer, Muslim Prayer Mat, Ironing Board, Iron, Small Fridge, TV (limited channels) ...... The hotel has a mini library & a convenience store at the lobby. The hotel is surrounded with many Restaurants (Local & Fast Foods). Also nearby to Mydin Hypermarket. Masjid also nearby at Halaman Impian Meru Raya. Breakfast buffet has variety to choose. But no pastry available (need to pay). Nice breakfast environment with many seats available. Roti Canai & Roti Jala is the best. Must try! The hotel also serves Air Labu Sayong. Excellent hospitality by reception desk. Thanks to En Nizam!! Will stay again here! 👍"

"I like it..., NO, I love it!!! The standard room is small BUT adequate. For two persons, it is more than comfortable. For the price we paid, it is so handsomely worth it. Petite, clean, facilities, well to me, better than a 5 star property. Why? It provides a tea coffee making utensils enough for two, AND an ironing board WITH the iron... no need to ask... It also has a hardryer in the toilet. What else can you ask at the price you pay! On top of it all, the whole place is clean. So Valya, please keep this reputation up. Do ensure that this standard is kept tiptop ALWAYS. I like clean toilets, among the first thing I inspect when I enter hotel rooms. There was no mold nor mildew, YET, but I think with the kind of management you have, you will ensure that this will be taken care always - (Hint: VINEGAR, WATER & DISHWASHER makes a cheap cleaning solution and works!!!) My only setback was I got a room next to the LINEN room, so, in the morning, it's a bit chaotic and noisy - housekeeping staff going in & out and of course definitely be chatting... ;) If you are thinking of wanting a longer rest, do request a room slightly further from such location. Valya Hotel is near to Mydin Mall in Meru, therefore, there's no issue of getting food or stuff that you may have forgotten to pack. I will be definitely be coming back again... Thank you En. Ridzwan (I hope I spell your name correctly). Nice hospitality. Oh yes! Check-in was superbly fast! And this hotel has a ELEVATOR facility! Only one storey up, but very convenient when you have luggages and having elderly. "

"Location near Ipoh town center. Walking distance to restaurants, Mydin hypermarket, 7-eleven & bus terminal. Excellent room for a budget hotel. Big screen and clear screen tv with satellite channels, good water pressure, working water heater, shampoo and bath soap, bright room lighting, comfortable bed, 4 pillows, cool and quiet air-condition unit, free 2 water bottles, kettle and mug plus free coffee/tea sachets, comfortable size room, comfortable size bathroom, noise proofing good(budget hotels have smaller rooms so it is normal if at times you can hear people walking at the corridor at budget hotels) . There is also a coffee/tea room downstairs in which guest can have a cup of free unlimited coffee or tea almost all day. The best is the management and staff. Good attitude, attentive, passionate and friendly. From the cleaners, front desk, security guard, and manager. Makes you feel like staying in 6 star hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Ipoh."

"I travel a lot both within the region and in Malaysia. Generally, most Malaysian hotels (2-4 stars) especially in smaller cities and towns like Ipoh tend to be fine within the first few months and then gradually degenerate in both facilities and service. The main killer for me is always the toilet/bath - Malaysian hotels in general like this type always scrimp on the bathroom - a sure tell tale sign that the hotel has no idea of the business they are in. On this note, Indra Hotel was a delightful surprise for me - the owners has surely put a lot of thought into the layout of the hotel rooms, but the attention to details on the bathroom from the solar powered amply boosted water pressure shower to a isolated cubicle for shower and practical fittings - this hotel has my rating of 5 stars for having owners who has passion and heart in this business. I have the opportunity to observe also the management staff drilling the front desk staff what they need to do to respond to customers - i do hope that they keep this up as i will surely use this hotel again - a winner in Ipoh and i had stayed a lot - in Malaysia, this hotel rank closely with those best boutique hotels in Thailand. This hotel beats most 4-5 stars hotels and international chains in Ipoh - it does not have the best locations (except Tesco is within 5 minute walking distance) and car park issues (you have to put a ticket) are minor inconveniences. Otherwise, a diamond in ipoh hotel industry. "
