Close to the sights and sounds of the pedestrian shopping area and financial district, the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest is your perfect spot if you want to be right in the middle of downtown Budapest. Some attractions around are theaters, museums, and the Opera House. The hotel’s gastronomical restaurant “Kaffeehouse Style” is Budapest’s hottest hang out place in town. Or if you want to tone down the mood, step into The Blue Fox Bar with a total vibe of elegance. For original Hungarian and Viennese cuisine, make a stop at ES Bisztro. And if you crave for sushi, situated in the hotel is Nobu Restaurant – the first branch in Central-Eastern-Europe. Here it offers you a variety of Japanese mouthwatering menu. Great hotel in great location”
budapest hotel kempinski corvinus, named after legendary king and national hero matyas corvinus, proved to be worth its name. modern, clean, functional hotel with spacious, beautiful, well appointed rooms. excellent location: just steps away vorosmarty square, the heart of belvaros part of pest where, to our luck, the atmospheric christmas market had just opened. just 4 blocks from danube river and very close to many of the main sights such as st.stephen's church, the chain bridge and andrassy avenue (a world heritage site). many excellent restaurants and cafes (the top being the historic gerbeaud cafe, just two blocks away). all in all a perfect holiday.
Lovely hotell located in central Budapest”
We had a great time staying at Kempinski Corvinus Hotel and if ever in Budapest again I would not hesitate to stay there again! The hotel is located within walking distance of the river Danube and waterfront restaurants as well as the main shopping streets. The hop-on-hop-off bus tour starts just outside the hotel. Very convenient! The hotell itself has high standards, the hotel breakfast is great and the staff is very helpfull. The spa facility is a great way to relax after a day of sight seeing!
Incredible rooms at a very reasonable price”
from the moment you enter the kempinski you will be hit by the wow factor. superb environment, helpful and friendly staff and rooms you could have parties in! the views from our room over budapest(at the front of the hotel)were breathtaking. you do need to be aware that large numbers of young people playing music can congregate in the square on an evening but it didn't adversely affect our enjoyment at all. our bathroom was palatial and well maintained. we only ate in once - for breakfast. yet again it was out of this world - amazing service and everything you might want to eat or drink (including champagne). the price of euros was also out of this world!! a smaller cheaper breakfast would have encouraged us to eat more times in the hotel. a minor point though: overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and i would strongly recommend the hotel to all readers.
Great Hotel, location was nice, but not great.”
We stayed at the Kempinski in July 2011. A lovely hotel. Our room was great, even though it was two twin beds, but we didn't mind so much. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were lovely, the room was large. Our view wasn't that great, as it was to the courtyard in the back, but it wasn't bad. We didn't spend much time in the hotel at all. It was close to some good shopping and close to most of the major tourist sites. A hop on hop off bus stop is around the corner and so is the metro. but budapest is pretty small, so you don't really need to use the public transportation that much. Cons. Not on the river, which would have been ideal. It was a short walk away though. The pool was tiny. The gym was also tiny and limited, but the machines were top quality though. Breakfast was very very price. 25 euros per person. We just went to the california coffee house in front of st stephen's basilica and had a big breakfast for 16 euros for two people. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay and i would recommend the hotel to anyone. Also, there's a Nobu in the hotel.
Nice New year stay”
We stayed 4 night in Kempinski Corvinus Hotel i Budapest during new year celebration 2009-10. It was a great stay, with warm and clean rooms. The service was good and the breakfast very good. On new years day we eat a wonderful fish market buffet at the hotel, not specially expensive. The staff was compared to typical staff in Hungry very friendly, always with a smile on there face. We would stay here again if we come back. I almost forgot the best of it all was the location.
Wonderful stay at the Kempinsky Corvinus”
We loved our stay at the Kempinsky Corvinus, overlooking the Elizabet park. The metro entrance is just 70 meters away, and the Danube is just a couple of blocks. The pool and spa are fantastic. The pool is not large but the current means you can swim without reaching the end. The interior of the hotel is quite chic. Our main disappointment was not scheduling a dinner at Nobu, but a Michelin starred restaurant is within easy walking distance. We'll definitely plan to stay here on our next visit.
The Kempinski hotel made our stay in Budapest extremely enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent. The rooms were generous in size and the beds very comfortable. The location in the city centre and close to the river was ideal. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Old world elegance”
Budapest is an amazing city and the Kempinski is the right hotel to stay in as it is walking distance to a almost everything you may want to see in 2 to 3 days. The underground is nearby and the Jewish quarter less than 10 minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants and shops and near the lion fountain where most walking tours commence. Great service, very good concierge who will direct you to great restaurants.
Wonderful week in Budapest ”
The week we spent at the Kempinski was great. It is centrally located - we could walk to many of the sights or take a few metro or bus stops. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The spa facility was great to come back to after a day of sightseeing. There was a little excitement whilst we were there - the hotel was evacuated due to a fire - it was handled very professionally and we were able to use the facilities at the next door Ritz hotel for the couple of hours. The Kempinski staff were in frequent attendance the whole time to check on our wellbeing. Would highly recommend for all types of traveller

We are glad to have met your expectations, from our spacious and comfortable rooms, great spa facilities to the service provided by our welcoming and helpful staff. Regarding the fire alarm, I have shared your heartwarming words with our staff. They showed indeed professional attitude and teamwork during these challenging hours. We are very proud of our employees who are not just doing their everyday job at a high standard but they can react to sudden situations such as this evacuation. Thank you so much for taking the time to rate your experience and I hope we may welcome you back again soon. Warm regards, Silvia Rajniak Executive Assistant Manager
Great staff at a delightful hotel”
we very much enjoyed our stay here and found it to be a great base for exploring budapest and savoring its cuisine. the concierge staff made excellent restaurant recommendations. the hotel restaurant serves a large, gourmet breakfast buffet. the hotel is very well located near the city center, with easy access to shopping, sights, and both sides of the river.
Would repeat again”
Our stay at the Kempinski Corvinius was worth the value we've paid for. The staff was competent and attentive, spoke good English; the Hotel's location very satisfactory, rooms immaculate, quite and functionally equipped, including Wi-Fi and foreign TV programmes selection. Should we ever cross this lovely Hungarian capital again, and likely will, the Kempinski's facility would be our top choice again. I most strongly and favourably would recommend any visitor to Budapest to stay in this lovely and welcoming facility!
Centrally located luxury but very small pool”
this hotel is an impressive place to stay in central budapest, giving easy access to key tourist areas and facilities. we stayed on bed only basis - we were glad because the meals seemed very pricey - and found a great place to have breakfast nearby (well brunch actually) called cyrano. the hotel bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully decked out.when staying at the kempinski paying 5* prices you expect 5* service. this was mostly delivered, however when we complained about a capuccino (weak, dishwater) the waitress should have given a 5* response to ensure we got what we expected. instead she argued with us and she gave a number of excuses. it was only a small thing but we felt she was a bit stroppy and may not have been trained in customer service. however, we did order some great mocktails and bar food. the hotel lounge also had a pianist playing every evening and some classical musicians (e.g. violin) most afternoons.
Lovely hotel with great location”
The hotel was conveniently located. When we arrived on the subway, the hotel, which was located literally at the access point, was a breeze to locate. Service was also good, as should be expected from the Kempinski franchise. When we arrive, the baby crib, which we requested in advance, was already in the room. Subway tickets and getting information about restaurants and things to do in Budapest was not a problem at all as the concierge was fairly knowledgeable. The hotel was located within minutes, on foot, from many attractions (and a major shopping area) in Budapest. This makes it very convenient for a family like us (with a baby) who had to frequently go back to the hotel.
Perfect base in Budapest”
The hotel was located in the heart of the city and within walking distance to 80% of the tourist spots. Classic European decor. Most memorable experience was the outstanding service provided by the concerige team. As we only had 24 hours in Budapest, they took care of every single need, helping us maximize the time in the city: from booking tuk tuk tours, river cruise, recommending restaurants, local dishes. The guys who work there deserve every bit of credit!
Dear Lok, Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us. It was a pleasure to have you with us as our guest. it's a good experience that live in such nice hotel in budapest; nice location, nice room, nice service and very professional cleaning and night preparation. and the internet is fast as well. i will come to this hotel again when next time i come to budapest.
Beautiful hotel. Excellent location for shopping and restaurants. Rooms first class. Excellent breakfast. One of our party took sick and the hotel arranged for a doctor and sent the concierge out for the prescription - truly excellent service that seems to not exist anymore. If go to Budapest you could stay nowhere better
Dear Darren, I am delighted to read what a wonderful experience you had here at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus. It is true we are conveniently located in the city centre and the main shopping area as well as at walking distance from the city's many attractions. Your kind recognition of our Concierge service is certainly gratifying and we have already shared this with our team. This will no doubt motivate them to provide an even more excellent service. First stay here at Kempinski Budapest. Didn't use the pool or the spa so don't know, but the staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was great. The room was nice and free wifi was excellent. The view on the square was cool. Good restaurants nearby and shops as well. Will go back
A Room Without A View”
A Great hotel with excellent staff, but in Budapest, I really missed staying in a hotel with a view of the Danube and the Palace; having had that beautiful view on the 7 times I had visited Budapest in past years, before this 8th visit. Furthermore, the price I paid did not include breakfast - so didn't think it was full value for the money paid.
Dear Jeannie, Greetings from Budapest and thank you so much for the overall positive rating. It was our pleasure to have the opportunity to host you and we are glad to hear our staff was excellent and made you feel comfortable. I am so sorry that the view from your room failed to meet your expectations. Your feedback is of the utmost importance to us in our daily efforts of providing the service and attention you deserve. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Best regards, Silvia Rajniak Executive Assistant Manager
Not the Best Kempinski, but still a Kempinski”
I expected more from a Kempinski, having stayed at Kempinski Palais Hansen directly before coming here, but it's not really that bad. The Macaron shop is quite good and NOBU is not bad. The location cannot be beaten. The service for a 5-star hotel is a little bit lacking in my view.
