I stayed at family room, and the facilities are really nice. This building is old, but rooms are so clean and organized. I definitely recommend this place to people who will visit to Gyeongju

Very kind staff, good choice for family guests”
They gave us free upgrade from Deluxe to Grand Deluxe. Even though the room was not renovated, they still placed a new sofa/table. This place is good for price especially for family with children because you would have to pay much more if you choose large suits in more luxurious hotel brands. Please note that they have a central heating system, which means guests cannot control temperature in each room. The room was a bit too warm, but when we opened the window slightly we were able to lower it to the adequate level.

Good Place for family”
I spent time with my big family (Parents and brother (with his kids) and my own family(me and wife and kids). At first place of accommodation is huge. Clearness is good. Breakfast dining cuisine is also great. Outside sand play place is excellent for kids. Bomun lake (main hot place) is so close, it takes 3 minutes by car. Beach is so close, it takes 30 minutes by car.

Old hotel showing its age. ”
The hotel looked very good online. And on arrival it looked very nice, with a well polished reception, busy with customers and helpful staff. As we were early we were able to leave our bags in the luggage room which was helpful. When we checked in we discovered we were at the furthest edge of the hotel which was a faff to walk over to with our luggage. The room was also incredibly old looking. Aged decoration, an air conditioner that looked older than me and tatty furniture and furnishings. The fact that it was a "kind of " suite was good but that really was the only redeeming feature. We recieved a breakfast coupon for the morning which was nice, but as resort hotel breakfasts go it was of below average quality. With not many selections, that were warm rather than hot. My wife couldn't even get a cup of tea!

Nice hotel with very minimal furnishings”
Overall, the Kensington is a nice hotel for the price. It is a bit far from most of the major tourist spots, but is in a pretty, scenic area. There were several restaurants, a cafe, and a Family Mart at the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel staff is great! They are very courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and clean. Our one big complaint was that the heater turned on automatically at night and we could not turn it off in our rooms. Additionally, we had issues with an outside hall light staying on all night and shining directly into our room.

Lovely location and a comfortable hotel”
everything about this hotel was excellent. cooking facility was particularly good for us vegetarians, as korean cuisine does not usually cater for vegetarians. the only problem with this hotel was the sleeping arrangement. there was a very bright security lighting just outside the bedroom window which had only a thin curtain. we had to resort to moving the mattress to the living area. bedding needs renewing. the mattress was sagging in the middle and the duvet had rather unpleasant stale odour. if we go to gyeongju again, we will give it another try, though. maybe we will take our sleeping bag!

Not what we had hoped”
We were traveling to Gyeongju as a family with two young children, and booked a standard room for 4 people. This gave us 1 double bed. The children (5 & 8) were expected to sleep on the floor. Then, the bedding wasn't clean (had hair on it), the walls were so thin that I could hear everyone walking past the room all night and the air conditioner didn't work, the bedroom window didn't open and no screen on the patio door so we were eaten alive by mosquitos. The resort has restaurants in it (which we didn't try), but if you are looking for authentic Korean food, this isn't the place. It was a 10,000KW cab ride to the center of the city where there were restaurants. Also, the location is not within walking distance of any of the sightseeing in town. We didn't have a lot of choices in Gyeongju that weekend because of a marathon in town, but compared to the other hotels we have stayed in in Korea, this one was poor.

has been very friendly and he even showed me my room. Because there are alot of kids on school tours, assigned me a room that was away from the "noise". I enjoyed his company and he made me feel very welcomed to a resort I stayed a year ago. It may be basic but great employees such as makes it worth coming back. He works non stop and despite a 16 hr shift, he smiles and does his best.

If you like shopping, there's nothing around, but a good place to take a rest.And if you want to cook, it's better to buy things from downtown, because there's only 2 small "family mart".

Nice service but not worth the stay”
staff were friendly, i think next time i'll pay the extra to stay in a nice resort with useful facilities. the 'resort' is pretty far from the town and a little inconvenient, compared to seoul and busan.

good location but bad cleaning”
It was nice to have a pretty good restaurant in same building. And "spring dome"(water park) was right next to it. but cleaning was not good. hair and dust were under and around the beds.

Bad experience”
We were not happy when we were told that the hand towels are used as bath towels. There were many student groups and they were noisy. Room was more of a chalet and 3 star hotel. Air con was not working because the hotel claims that it is normal for the spring time of the year. Every amenity was "old" and needs upgrading.

room was spacious, used to be a condo but little old building, air condition was not working. There's no LAN cable nor Wifi at the room, you can access Wifi only at lobby.

Room obviously wasn’t cleaned properly (old towel on the bathroom door, chips on the ground behind the bed); location is out of the ways and while the word “resort” is in the name of the hotel, it’s a two-star hotel at best

this hotel is a disappointed hotel i ever stay for 4 stars. the hotel i stayed seem like it never been stay by anyone for a period. toilet is really a non four star level.so dun expect to much from this hotel
