Fantastic pool. Cute huts”
The pool is fantastic. Large and in a beautiful setting in the tropical gardens. Bungalows have everything plus a sink that you can wash a few things in. You need a nice pool here as nothing to do in Kep except have a nice meal next to the crab market and watch the sunset.
This is the 3rd time I've been here (my husband 5th time). Its so laid back. Love swimming in the pool any time I want. Great setting. Needs some TLC but otherwise facilities are ok. Needs more fresh seafood on menu. Will definitely be back next year
Well maintained, clean and friendly - Thanks Mr Sam!”
We've been here several times before and seen the vegetation go from almost nothing to a beautifully kept garden that makes staying in the bungalows a delight. There's plenty of light, but also plenty of shade. The pool is well maintained and the accommodation clean and pleasant. Mr Sam manages the place very well, can arrange good quality bike rentals and bus tickets at a fair price, and is always a delight to talk to. The other staff, too, are friendly and efficient. Breakfast was no longer included in the price this time (which makes it cheaper than before), and this allowed us to eat at the excellent French bakery in Kep village square.
Best option with the price!”
just around 100m up to mountain. Motobike ridable. Good swimming pool, good mountain view, good room, good staff speaks English, good food. Breath-taking stars view in night sky. I stayed at B1 room, toilet sink and shower head was not good. They must buy new towel for customers. I will be coming back here!!
Set in Beautifil Tropical Gardens ”
Access to Kep bungalows is about 250 meters off the main road up an unpaved dirt track. Kep is really two different villages divided by about a mile. The bungalows are on the crab market side. The crab market is a leisurely ten minute walk from the resort. On site they have a very decent sized swimming pool which is kept clean. There’s also a sizable dining room built into the reception when you eat the inclusive breakfast which is the usual 2 eggs they offer at most places. The bungalow itself was a bit spartan, nowhere to hang clothes or cupboards so my case remained packed. English is scarce among the staff, the best you can hope for are a few mispronounced words,, but the staff are good natured. It’s worth the extra walk into the village for the setting at the foot of the mountains. If you’re brave enough to ride a motorbike it would make life easier to rent one. They hire them on site. Internet coverage is pretty good all over and the tv has numerous cable channels.
I was there with my father, husband and 2 children. Initially we booked for 3 nights but stayed another 3 nights and would have stayed longer had we more time ! Excellent staff who organised a motorbike to hire for my dad whilst the rest of us used the free bicycles. A fabulous holiday and I would recommend it to anyone
Perfect place to relax!”
Probably the best bungalow resort experience we had so far on our trip, this Cambodian-owned resort has a very beautiful garden with nice scents (frangipani, tamarind, ylangylang etc.), probably the biggest and best pool in town. It is great value for money. The friendly manager(Mr. Sam) has a good connection in the area, helps out with anything (surprisingly, Bus tickets to Kampot and moto rentals are not more expensive than outside), free bicycles are available and a decent breakfast is provided. We also had lunch at the restaurant, the food is very authentic and the portions are large. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the resort is managed nicely. I highly recommend Le Kep.
Good pool, clean, well managed”
Le Kep Bungalows is an excellent place to stay. It's a short walk to the centre of Kep - 10 minutes to the Crab market and 20 to the town square. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, as were the pool and the gardens around it. The day-to-day manager, Mr Sam Ath, is friendly and helpful, his careful management is obvious in the courtesy and attention to detail displayed by all the staff. All in all it can't be recommended any more highly.
Nice bugalows in a private yard”
We had a nice stay, because of a nice garden, pool and tidy rooms with cleaning on a daily basis. Every day they also lit a citronella oil in an oil burner in the bungalow. It felt like we were at spa :))
Disorganized place, not worth the price”
The place felt totally disorganized. When I arrived there were 4 persons in the reception. There was a note with my name at the counter and when it was cleared that it was me I got my key and a guy helped me with my luggage to the bungalow. No check of passport. The bungalow was by the pool. The pool was nice but most of the pool chairs were broken. People also used it at midnight and kids started using it at 7 AM so don't expect to sleep late. The bungalow in itself could be nice with a nice chair and a clean bathroom because it would have needed a deep cleaning. Old towels and no cleaning during the stay or at least I didn't get it. The furnitures on the veranda were covered in spiderwebs and one of the seats had a cushion that some animals had used as a snack. At checkout the manager seemed to have my purchases in his head and I got no receipt. It was not worth the price so I changed places.
Pros: - Good wifi - Excellent location - Good value for money Cons: - Toilets and bath was dirty - would have been nice, if there were a toilet/bath to each dorm - There were no lounge area to hang out - Many persons in the dorms, hard to get a good nights sleep
This is a nice place to stay. Been there twice and enjoy their pool so much. Not far from Crab Market.
Amazing value for money! ”
AC and good WiFi with a clean modern room and a decent pool for £10 s night - I’m definitely not complaining. Price wise probably best value for money in 4 month trip round Asia. However would say could do with having a receptionist on desk who atleast speaks a tiny amount of English. Was once or twice when tried to ask questions and the girl just looked at us blankly with no response, and then walked off to get a member of staff with better English who never appeared. For this reason would avoid the restaurant and walk down to the Crab market for food!
Nice bungalows. Clean room and comfortable beds. Nice size pool but could use some additional working umbrellas/updated furniture at the pool. It was hard to find shade while watching my children swim. I have young children and teenagers and they all liked the pool. Lots of foliage made the place feel restful. Behind the bungalows is a national forest, so the view was really nice. Overall we enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was decent but we ate most of our meals out (within walking distance to crab market restaurants). Great value for money. Would stay here again.
Great accommodation & best pool in Kep!”
The accommodation is clean and comfortable and very secluded which was nice. You will have a small balcony/ terrace with tables and chairs outside as well. The pool here is the best in kep. It's a decent size and very well kept. Mr Sam the owner is very friendly and helpful. On my last day, nobody would take a $50 bill I had as apparently it was an old one but Mr Sam managed to change it for me with no fuss which was a huge help. The location is roughly 10 mins walk to the crab market, 15 mins to the beach and only 5 mins to the national park. I would definately recommend staying.
Mr Sam is SO HELPFUL”
We had a wonderful stay at Le Kep Bungalows. Mr Sam is really what makes the place great. It woukd nk ot be the same without his hard work and dedication. The grounds are lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean.
Excellent pool, nice to go swimming at night. A 10 min walk to the crab market. At the foot of the national park which is beautiful. Nice staff, have motorbikes to rent there. The bed is hard as rocks. Breakfast sucks.
Beautiful pool and grounds, clean, staff friendly especially Sam who speaks good English and able to arrange anything for you. Had a deluxe bungalow which was superb...ended up saying 8 days instead of 2... nothing to fault
Although quite new the bungalows are not well designed, particularly the bathrooms where the wash basin and mirror are poorly positioned less than 500mm from the toilet pan. Having the small room with bench top and kitchen sink is a complete waste of space. Mattresses are uncomfortable, more what you would expect in a $10 a night guesthouse. Pool is nice but not cleaned properly. Rubbish in the car park is very unsightly - we got the impression that some guest after checking out just throw their rubbish out of the car onto the grass, but a day later the same rubbish is still in the car park and the staff did not appear to care.Breakfast is below average. Its a pity, this resort has such potential - could probably benefit greatly from having an experienced manager take control.
Swimming pool was great! We paid 20 usd per night for the room which we thought was good value. Rooms spacious but bathroom a bit dated. Breakfast not great but for the price we were happy with our stay and the pool more than made up for our minor quibbles. Would recommend. Slight confusion about the bus back to phnom penh, we thought we were getting a big bus but ended up in a minibus. All worked out well in the end though.
