Super Great Experience”
We stayed at Khai Hoan apartment for 1 week and it was an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious yet cosy which made us feel like home. It has a complete kitchen and dining area which are well compacted into 1 apartment. We stayed there and felt how much caring thoughts the host had put into their services. The host supplied every single item you can think of like tooth brush, paste, towels, even washing machine!! Even if you are looking for something, ask the 24/7 reception, they are always there to fullfill what you need. The most amazing thing was the spa&massage service they have. We could not believe how cheap it was. With $20, you could enjoy all services they have to offer.... even hair cut, manicure and pedicure, sauna, back rub, foot massage and body massage!!!! We did really enjoy our stay. Of course there will be a next visit and many more in the future. Highly recommended apartment!!!:)

A Nice Apartment and Hotel in a Bad Location”
I booked Khai Hoan via Agoda.com and stayed there for 3 nights. It was hard to find the hotel and situated in District 11. It took almost 35 minutes to travel from District one to the hotel, near Dam Sen. The hotel was very new, clean, and spacious. The receptionists were very nice and helped me with my check-in. Everything inside the building is new. The room is clean. You have to pay for breakfast and there are very few people staying at Khai Hoan that week. Location is the biggest concern. It's hard to find a clean restaurant in the neighborhood. I felt unsafe walking around this area at night. I had to drive to district 3 to get something to eat. If you plan to stay inside the room all day long and far away from all activities, this hotel is right for you.

i stayed 2 bed room apartment with my family, this hotel is good for family, very clean, specious, modern, and good security, also they help you to arrange the taxi. all staff are very kind and nice. but a bit far from city area, closed to damsen park. if i will go to ho chi minh city, i will definately stay there again.

Great value for your money”
Spacious apartment. Great for family traveling with kids. The management was great. They listened to our concerns and addressed them almost immediately.Staff is helpful. If you are Vietnamese American that having relatives live in District 5,6,10,11, Binh Tan, Tan Binh and other close areas, this would be perfect place for you and your family. It is close enough for your relatives and family to come to visit you. And it is just a 20 min taxi ride to downtown attractions and high end restaurants. Locals restaurant s are all around the hotel/apartment. They dont speak English but they will help you to order your food. My husband and kids dont speak Vietnamese but they went to these restaurants and was able to order food there. Local people was friendly to them.Laundry place and a baber shop are in walking distance too. Great folks there too. Korean supermarket ( Lotte Le Dai Hanh) is 7, 10 mins drive away. We always took taxi , only cost $1.There are KFC and ABC bakery close by.

Great apartment but quite far from everything”
We initially stayed in district 1 but moved to this apartmnet when we missed our flights to hanoi. The apartment pics looked great inside and indeed they were when we arrived. The apartment has lovely finishes and is spacious and clean. My con about this apartment is that it is far from district 1 or most civilisation. In fact, walking on the streets in the area, the locals looked at us as if we were aliens . I am nt sure if the security guard thought we were celebrities, but whenever it rained / drizzled and my wife or I visited the nearby shops he followed us with the umbrella and waited outside the shops. Now thats hospitality.

Clean secure affordable”
The hotel is off the beaten path. No Pool. My room had ants unfortunately which they returned in larger quantities from the bathroom shower. A couple were in the night stand and bed room. a bit annoying, but tolerable. Staff doesnt understand much english, but google translate helps when internet was working. Great security, but annoying as i could not visit my girlfriends family on a different floor without having a separate access card. wifi on the 3rd floor was good, but slighlty slow. Water was listed as complimentary but charged for hotel room, free for apartments. not going to fuss as it was only $10. For 5 days worth of bottled water. Rather annoying the staff walks in to ask if the room needs cleaning when my sign says not to disturb. Overall this hotel was a hidden gem for district 10 which suited my needs. your needs may vary.

Secure clean value”
This apartment was great for my girlfriends family since vietnamese law states non viet citizens cannot stay in a room with a viet citizen without proof of marriage. They will uphold thislaw at this hotel/apartment complex upon check in. Cameras everywhere.... Almost invasive, but good sense of security. Apartment had washing machine, pots and pans for cooking, utensils (chopsticks only), cups, sink and fridge. A 100k dong (about $5 USD) charge per day for propane if you decide to cook. NO WIFI on the 7th floor which was advertised as free. One of the main reasons i stayed was internet, but could never get reception the entire time we stayed. Laptop nor iPad could get reception. Difficult to visit rooms as i was on the 3rd floor and could not access their floor without a card key. Overall experience was great and suited a majority of my needs. Minor nuances but able to adapt. Great value overall. Will always stay due to closeness of location to my girlfriends house.

It is pretty closed to airport, but pretty far from city centre. good value to stay, nice staff(but only few staff could speak english), very clean room i don't recommand to use minibar, the price is crazy expensive. i would stay again here if i go to hochiminh city again

Great hotel but not very convenient”
The hotel is very quiet. The rooms are huge, clean and well maintained. The only thing is, its location is not the most convenient. There are almost no shops or convenience stores around. There is only a Chinese restaurant close by (food is good and price reasonable). There is no restaurant in the hotel but it does have its own convenience store where inventory is not very well stocked, and prices slightly higher.

The apartment was nestled away from the city centre but there are still amenities (food and local shops) 10mins walk away. However, like what many other travelers experienced, the language barrier pose a serious problem. We were lucky to have a Vietnamese friend to communicate with the counter staffs at check in. Yet, on the other days, it was so difficult to speak to the staff to request what we want. The most annoying issue was that they arrange for us to go for massage (under same company) and expect us to pay transportation fees and it was a total scam. We only wanted a simple foot massage which the hotel told us was 150000 dong. After completing the massage at the other venue, they expect us to each pay a tip which cost more than the massage. When we were hesitant the counter staff then told us that we had a luxury package (full body Massage, food, facial etc) which cost 328000 dong. We stated we did not enjoy any other services and only willing to pay 150000 but they said cannot. As it was late in the night and we had no way of communicating with them, we were forced to pay up so that they can send us back to the hotel. Overall, I think that if you want a big place for a big group to stay together then you can consider this place. If not, there are much better places available!!!

Absolute value for money”
This is an absolute value for money service apartment with all the facilities you need. Rooms are very spacious and decent. True enough you don't feel like a hotel and basic necessities are not provided and overly secure in an obscure location, with the price and the quality you cannot complain. Best thing is it is near the Dam Sen Water Park and cheap local food around.

New hotel with great service”
I reach there at 10 nov and left on 13 nov 2012 I'm completely satisfied with the room, room was clean and the funiture was new. The staff was very helpful, would try to understand your needs although sometimes it's hard to communicate with them as they do not understand english well and my vietnamese is almost zero. Never get frustrated or angry unlike some hotels i stayed. Hotel safety is also not compromise, hotel room level can only be access with room card and room door can only open with door code. So even if you have lost your card, don't have to worry about people able to access your room. Hotel still undergoing renovation, so we should be expecting swimming pool and other amenities coming soon. Will definitely go back on my next trip there to vietnam.
