Lovely place with jungle sounds”
Khao Sok Evergreen House is a lovely place to stay if you visit Khao Sok Nationl Park. The owners are very helpful and can organise tours for you (and even prepare you a seperate lunch box if yu have special diet requirements). The stilted houses are lovely and you can fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

such a lovely and chilled place to stay”
Though we have only been in thailand for 10 days, evergreen house has been the best place we have stayed. The owners were exceedingly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the food was great. Also, being off the main road a bit meant it felt so quiet and chilled out, with only the sound of the cicadas and the gibbons to lull you to sleep. Fully reccomended for any backpackers looking for a cheap but comfortable guest house in khao sok!

very basic, but you will get used to it!”
we stayed 4 nights at the khao sok evergreen house. when we first arrived we freaked out because there was a giant hand sized spider sitting inside our fan, and another one outside the room. the showers were cold, the toilets were flushed with a bucket of water, there was no wifi, no tv, and there was a gigantic lizard living behind our light box... this really was not our kind of thing.... however, after four nights we toughened up and actually began to enjoy our time. the couple managing the place were so friendly and helped us organize all of our tours and made sure we were doing okay. if you are looking for something a little bit different then we recommend this place. it will definitely be a memorable part of your trip.

Up and close with nature.Quiet surroundings.”
Away from the hustle-bustle of everyday life...tucked in plush greenery, it was quite an experience at Khao Sok evergreen house. The hotel is great value for money, I must say. It is about 15-20 min walk from the Khao-Sok national park. It is very secluded and is good for people seeking complete privacy. The cook (one lady) was very friendly and eager to help; however, the man seemed quite rude and impolite. Downfalls: It gets very dark by the night and has minimum lighting around (both in and out of the resort), the man (owner) is very rude and impolite, and the room is not well insulated due to which you may end having lot of unwanted guests in your room (read insects).

Superb hosts, great location, great value”
Basic but clean "backpacker" accommodation - two double beds (with mosquito nets and very hard mattresses), standing fan, shower hose and sink (cold water only), toilet that "flushed" via pouring water into it from a refillable pot alongside. We got used to everything but the ultra hard mattresses. Noi and Gai were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, providing all the information we could need on guided and unguided jungle trips, how best to get from A to B, where to find local WiFi, food shopping, Thai massage, places of interest etc etc. The Visitor Centre for Khao Sok National Park was only a 10 minute walk away, providing access to easy to taxing hikes through stunning jungle scenery alongside the Sok River. Plenty of options for eating out at night but we usually ate from Noi's home-cooked and great value menu. Overall an interesting and enjoyable experience, much enhanced by our genial and knowledgeable hosts.

Authentic experience with friendly staff”
this is exactly the place we were looking for while staying in khao sok. the rooms are authentic "treehouses" fitted with mosquito nets, fan/electricity, running water and toilet. it felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the jungle! the staff was really friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. they booked a night safari for us, a lake and cave day tour (a must-do) and arranged our trip out to koh samui. the food was good. the location was only a few minutes outside of the national park. i definitely recommend this place.

Cheap cozy accommodation near Khao Sok park”
this place is absolutely charming and for the price you pay you can't be disappointed. it has only 5 or 6 ground raised bungalows all equipped with fan and bug net. the couple who owns the place are nice and will cook for you anytime of the day, and do laundry for 50b. perfect departure point to visit khao sok park, which charges per 24h, meaning you can get in on the second day minutes before the 24h expires, and stay in the park all day.

very nice and very cheap basic accomodation”
Great budget option in Khao Sok. You are in the middle of rain forest so expect plenty of mozzies and creepy crawlies. Even in the bungalows especialy at night with ligths on. This is not the fault of the GH thats just goes with beaing in a bungalow in rain forest, mozzie net is provided. Hosts are very helpfull, can organize tours and transport. The food was also decent. Highly recommended!

Fantastic”
I loved it. The Evergreen House is run by Noi and her husband, both are super nice and friendly ... even for Thailand where "friendly" is a general quality standard. Wrote an email a few hours before we arrive, that we will be there "between 3 and 5pm" ... and when we arrived at 3.15, a pickup was already waiting. Nice rooms, small and basic, but very clean and somehow romantic. It was a pity we had not more time.

Lovely surroundings ”
Spent 2 nights here. It is about 150m to the entrance gate of Khao Sok NP. The bungalow was on stilts and nice and rustic. Lovely sounds of the local wildlife throughout the day and night. Beware of the mosquitoes and other bugs. We booked a few activities, the best of which was the night walk in the jungle. Don't do this on your own as you will miss lots of wildlife, so use the services of a guide. The owners can book this for you. I'd avoid the elephant trekking, which was an hour or so walking through a muddy path and some photo opportunities, but no wildlife spotting. We would recommend a night jungle walk, half day jungle walk and maybe a day on the lake nearby, but the latter is about an hour's drive away. Highly recommend the Thai food cooked by the owner.

Extremely helpful owner”
We had a great stay at Evergreen house, the huts are basic but what you expect for the price. The location is fantastic, really beautiful national park close by. The owners are superb and really makes the guesthouse, from picking us up from the bus stop, organising tours and driving us around and making us food on request. All in all a great stay.

Nice to sleep but BEWARE of pressure to book tours”
As simply a place to stay, Evergreen House was nice and we enjoyed the experience of sleeping in a Treehouse. That being said, we found the staff behavior to be unpleasant. Upon arrival, they kill you with kindness, however this is largely because they want you to book a tour to the National Park with them. When we were deciding upon a tour, they said that we could spend a night in the park and then come back and stay with them again afterwards. However, we did some comparison with other agencies, we found what appeared to be the same packaged tour for 20-30% less. We wanted to be fair and asked the staff at Evergreen what made their offering different (ie: how to justify the inflated price), however they were unable to offer any reasonable explanation, even saying that the package is the same. Consequently, we booked our tour elsewhere. Upon doing so, we were told that there was no longer any availability for us to stay with them again after our night in the park. From that point on the staff was rather rude. We understand that booking tours to the park is the number one priority in Koh Sok, however we wish that this had been less apparent with our experience at Evergreen.

Family run, people that would do anything for you!”
A couple ran the Tree Houses, they were lovely. The guy picked us up, dropped us off and took us to all of our activities. He also booked and planned everything for us. The wife did all of the cooking, cleaning and laundry for us as well. Whilst the shower was cold and not the best water pressure, and the room and bathroom were fairly basic, you get what you pay for. However the service provided by this couple was outstanding. They made our trip to Khao Sok unforgettable.

Basic but excellent”
Evergreen is located far from the main street so it's very quiet and calm. The owners are very nice, we even got a pickup-delivery from-to bus station. We also booked a tour via Evergreen and it was great. If you don't mind a cold shower, I would definitely suggest it.

Lovely owners and a cute quiet place”
We had a lovely stay at the Evergreen Guesthouse. The owners gave us a warm welcome and helped us out with everything we needed to visit the National Park and also with our further travels. They bring, and pick you up at the busstop. It was a perfect place to relax and sort out what you want to do in the region. The huts are basic but are clean, perfect considering what you pay. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Very good”
The owners are nice and helpful. The hotel is pretty remote into the jungle, a bit too far from Khao Sok village center as for us though. The staff will bring you there in their at the back of their truck - which is a cool experience! The place is very calm and peaceful, lost in nature. Very good place for those who are seeking resting time. Would recommend!

Friendly Staff Peaceful Stay with Good Food!”
The food was very affordable and great. The green curry was spicy and good. The eating area is communal and homey feeling. We met some other travelers while eating and got some good suggestions from them about further travels. The 2 day over night hike in the park and night of the raft house was awesome (something they offered). The tree house bungalows are awesome. It's like camping, but better. They have electricity and a fan. We just left the window open and the breeze was perfect.

Really enjoyed my stay here”
Rooms are clean but very basic with only a cold shower. The staff are really friendly and chatty. Breakfast is pretty good to. Location is good little bit out the way but only 10 minute walk to restaurants and national park. Some people I meet on the jungle tour weren't happy with there place, so they moved to Evergreen. I would definetly stay here again.
