Great hotel with friendly helpful staff ”
I have previously stayed at a different hotel on Rambuttri for my last 4 visit to Thailand and what a breathe of fresh air the Khaosan Palace was. Entering the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and smiling. After a days travelling having my bag taken up the room was fantastic. The room although small was beautifully decorated with fridge, flat screen tv etc. Swimming pool was great and open longer than other hotels i have stayed at in the area. The room although on Khaosan road was quiet, I didn't experience other noisy guests or the noise and music of Khaosan Road. I enjoyed the great location, great for visiting many of the sights. One of the river taxi stops is close by and a great way to avoid the traffic and access the skytrain. Staff offered advice freely and gave excellent instructions on how to the post office, i even saw the security man carrying the shopping of an older resident. I will definately be booking into the Khaosan Palace for my next trip to Thailand

Great location right in the middle of Khaosan Road”
Good location , upon arrival we were upgraded for free to the premium room. This hotel is right in the middle of Khaosan road, straight outside of the hotel are many places to eat and drink including local street food. Plenty of shops and stalls selling souvenuiers, electronics , clothes etc ... be prepared to haggle for a good price! The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. very good value for money considering the price we paid for this room (£ gbp per night). There is a rooftop pool which we did not use but you can see views of the grand palace from up there. Room was cleaned daily. Cable tv with various channels to cater for all nationalities. complimentary water provided each day. Mini Bar (chargable but very cheap) ... there is also a mini-mart right at the hotel enterance. There is a coffee shop in the hotel reception area which also sells breakfast and snacks very reasonably priced and tasty! Depending where your room is facing you may hear the noise of music etc from the road - however if you are staying on Khaosan road you have to expect this ... plus the cocktails sold outside help you to sleep!! The only bad point about this hotel was the shower - it was more of a wet room with just a curtain so the floor tends to get a bit wet... overall this was a minor issue.

Luxury Hotel for Budget Price”
We loved our stay at Khaosan Palace. It was luxurious and yet affordable. Situated in the middle of Khaosan road, it can get a bit loud at night and so if you're planning on going to bed early, bring earplugs-- the Bassy music can be heard slightly in your room. The pool was a great facility, a bit small but helped us keep cool on those hot days. The staff were all friendly, fast, and very helpful. There's a Tour Desk towards the entrance of Khaosan Palace that is very helpful as well and can give you a good price on tours if you ask for it. If you're hungry for breakfast in the morning you can splurge on a buffet breakfast, a bit expensive if you ask me... we ate at one of the restaurants around the corner instead to save some money. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, clean, and awesome stay on Khaosan Road.

Nice but loud”
I did not expect much from the low cost hotel in the middle of Kaosan Road, but my intead got a very pleasant experience with Khaosan Palace Hotel. Clean and light modern design with more than just generic rooms. Hotel has a pool. Although their breakfast has limited choices to order, the pesto panini was great! I'd like to thank their staff for the willingness to help and solve problems. Khaosan Palace Hotel is located in the midst of the loud night life, so do not expect quiet nights. Go out and join the street instead.

Great location if you want to party”
We stayed at the Khaosan Palace for our first 3 nights in Thailand and we really enjoyed it! A lot of the reviews I read mentioned that it was loud! Because we read this, we emailed the hotel directly to ask them if they could put us in a room further back, because yes, the music is loud and the entire building shakes because of the bass. The hotel told us they would try but could not guarantee. When we arrived, we found that they had accommodated us and put us as far back as possible! Now yes, the room was small, but it was more than enough space for what we needed. The location is great, there is a 7/11 right at the exit which is awesome and the Pad Thai directly in front of the 7/11 is also delicious! Small portion, but only 60 baht! In regards to the noise, yes, it is loud, but what most have not mentioned is that the street party gets shut down each night a bit after midnight by the tourist police. So really, unless you want to sleep before midnight, then I agree you should not stay on Khao San Road. Cheers and Enjoy!

Lovely hotel with convenience”
we were ecstatic to find out that khaosan palace hotel is conveniently located in the main party hub with easy access to restaurants, pubs, convenient stores, an intenet cafe & pharmacy amongst other things too. we thouroughly enjoyed the pool facility on the roof of the hotel which provided magnificent views of the city. even though the hotel door step exits onto the party steet, we were suprized & relieved that the rooms were quiet. an awesome and highly reccomended spot!!

Decent for the price”
Khaosan Palace Hotel is right in the thick of the action on Khaosan Rd. Best suited to those people on a tight budget, you'll find the rooms smallish, the furniture dated, but clean & tidy. The bathroom was servicable, and it looked like the hand basins had probably been renovated reasonably recently. So on the plus side you will feel like you are leaving the bathrooms cleaner than when you entered! The bed was a little hard for my liking. I found the pictures that you'll see on the website a bit flattering to the room (which I guess means their photographer did a good job!). The Hotel is set a little bit back off Khaosan, so it's not too noisy at night either (although some reasonably faint music could be heard from our room, a bit like background noise (which was street side - the back side of the building probably doesn't have this issue) - it didn't bother me, but could bother those who are light sleepers). Overall though - when the price is considered, it's a clean fuctional place to rest your head, after sight seeing or partying it up on Khaosan Rd. No real issues here.

Great place to stay on Khaosan Road”
If you are planning to stay on Khaosan Road, you could not find a more central accommodation. Khaosan Palace Hotel is literally in the center of the action, right in the middle of Khaosan Road, and a block from Susie Walking Street. It is also very close to the Grand Palace/Reclining Buddha, so makes for a perfect location for travelers. The room was clean, we were offered 2 bottles of free water per day, and there is a cafe right downstairs (that does room service as well, if you are tired of street-pad-thai). The only thing they didn't offer was free wi-fi, of which you can pay per time used. We believe that is standard for the Khaosan Road area, though. Overall, we were happy with our stay, and would recommend it for travelers, backpackers and sight-seers.

Nice hotel on khaosan road”
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It's a nice escape from the busy road below, or if you are looking for it, it's right at your fingertips. The hotel was good value for money with all the basic amenities you would need for a short stay. For being on khaosan road we found that our room was supprisingly quiet in the evening but the aircon was abit noisey. It is in excellent location if you are wanting to see the grand palace, emerald buddha and wat pho. Just a short 5-10 minute walk but make sure to take a bottle of water because it can be extremely hot and its a fair walk untill you get to a shop inside. We decided to go in the morning and found it to be less busy than a lot of reviews have said. Deffinatly the best feauture of the hotel had to be its rooftop pool. It was very refreshing to take a dip mid afternoon after a day of sight seeing. It was never crowded and a beautiful place to watch the sun set over Bangkok. I would recommend staying in this hotel.

the place to stay in the middle of the nightlife”
This was my second stay at khaosan palace and would definately stay again. Nice clean rooms. Rooftop pool, great internet access, and in the middle of vibrant khaosan road nightlife. Great bars, and food right outside your hotel. Great little tour desk also situated right at the front of the hotel with very friendly service.

Lcation is everything”
Khaosan Palace Hotel is a great price for the money since it is located in the heart of Khaosan, a place with many bars, restaurants, and shopping galore. The day time is cool but the night time is filled with so much fun and laughter. My wfe and I had a blast! We will definitely visit again soon.

Excellent location and clean rooms”
I always stay in this hotel when I stop through Bangkok. Its a little more expensive than the budget hostels and for that you get a clean and attractive room and a rooftop pool (however the pool is small and gets v crowded so get there early) You can't beat the location smack bang in the middle of Khaosan. I've had some rooms that are very quiet at the back and others that are fairly noisy at night but that's the same with all hotels along this street. Friendly staff, left luggage facility and easy to add an extra bed to the rooms when traveling in a group. Can't ask for more. A tip, never go for the included breakfasts anywhere on Khaosan. You'll get better and cheaper breakfasts in the restaurants that are everywhere

right amongst the action”
Khaosan palace is in the middle of backpacker haven. Walk straight out of this little hidden hotel to the vibrant nightlife of khaosan. Nice little rooftop pool, great service and a short walk home the the nightlife at the front door. Definately great value for money. Nice clean and very tidy rooms. Very impressed.

Best place at Khaosan road”
I like this place. It was my 2nd time staying here (I go to Thailand every year) and I think this is the best place at Khaosan Road. It is in the middle of all the action but you still get a good night sleep. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. They also feel safe and are nicely decorated. The mattress is not too bad either. Btw...don't every bother going up to the rooftop to visit the pool, its very small and packed with people. I will def stay at Khaosan Palace again as I think this place is amazing for its price.

Great location.”
Very good hotel on Khaosan road, very nice rooms, good size and nice aesetic, furniture etc. Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel is situated back from the road a bit. Unfortunately the wifi is not free, you have to buy vouchers 30 baht per hour. Khaosan road is a very noisy street with lots of bars going to 5-6am in the morning so try to make sure you get a room away from the front of hotel if you can't handle the noise, earplugs are recommended. Besides the noise at night I couldn't fault this hotel. If you want to go to Soi Cowboy, Nana plaza etc it's a long taxi drive from Khaosan road.

Great hotel in a great location.”
I have stayed at the Khaosan Palace Hotel twice now, always clean, ideal location if you want to be in the thick of it but wasn't too loud at night to sleep considering the many bars & clubs located outside. Pool area is nice and well maintained, staff were friendly too. Highly recommended.

Great location with a vibrant nightlife”
Stayed at khaosan palace hotel for 3 nights as we arrived to Bangkok. Great road to be on for a backpacker, lots of young people and nightlife. Also a good location to visit all the major tourist attractions such as the Grand palace and wat pho. Rooms were spacious and had all basic features. Cleaned every day and staff were very helpful. Always happy and approachable.

An oasis in the heart of a storm”
Loved this place. Perfectly located in the middle of khaosan rd, so if you're looking to party you'all be well situated. Although your right there, there was absolutely no noise from our room on the 3rd floor. I highly recommend researching how to deal with tuktuk drivers and their "gem scams". They are insistent, but shouldn't ruin your good time if you know what's up. Also, insist on metered taxis! On khaosan rd many will say no, but if you head out to the main road you shouldn't have any trouble getting a fairly priced ride. From the airport it should cost 300 baht.

Nice stay”
Even though I've been to Bangkok many times and been on Khaosan alot this was the first time I stayed at Khaosan Palace. The place was nice as it was right on the main strip where the action is. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. We lucked out that our room was at the back of the hotel away from the main street so we didn't hear much noise. However, there are rooms that look right over Khaosan Road and I'm assuming they would be incredibly loud at night with all the music and people from the main street. The one downfall for us had to do with the staff as they came knocking on our door at 9am to clean our room. We were not happy when they kept knocking and wouldn't go away until we opened the door and told them to go away. I would stay here again but only if the main hotel that I stay at wasn't available.

Most centrally located but my room still was quiet”
I stayed at Khao San Palace Hotel for 2 nights over the weekend due to the Curfew in Bangkok. Originally I live in another area of Bangkok and wanted no hassle to get home before curfew. I had all I needed, even TV, DVD player and a fridge. Water pressure in the shower was excellent, too and they cleaned my room and changed the towels. All this for almost no money, is there anything left you could wish?
