Fantastic”
I stayed on the last days of my journey in this hostel. It was a great experience. The staff is very helpful and polite. I got the opportunity to join a monitoring tour on my last day thanks to this hostel as well. I would recommend to everyone to stay in this establishment.

Great location”
Fantastic location in our fave area, Asakusa, very short walk to Sensoji Temple and heaps of restaurants and shops. We stayed in a private room with bunks. Unfortunately there was a smell from the bathroom for most of our stay and the beds were uncomfortable, though that is also typical of hostels in Japan.Staff were lovely and we enjoyed using the communal area.

Thank you for your nice review. We're really sorry about stench from bathroom. We are going to improve our cleanness more and more. It's happy to hear that you were satisfied with common area. We throw a party regularly in our common area. If you have an opportunity at the next time, Please come and enjoy a party :) Thank you so much!!
Perfect for a short solo trip”
If you have to visit Tokyo on a short trip and just need to a place to sleep. This is a decent place. The facility was clean. The staffs were nice. Close to Asakusa Temple and other sights. It may not be for people who are not used to sleeping in a bank bed or a narrow space, but I think spacious enough to just sleep after sightseeing. Only things I wished they had were international cashless payment such as Apple Pay and a SMS communication option. I was busy sightseeing a whole day and only check email once a day and all email notifications are turned off so I missed emails from the hostel because I was arriving late so the hostel had contacted me via email. Wish they or Agoda had an option to send a notification via SMS.

Peaceful place to stay in Asakusa”
Our first 2 nights were spent in Khaosan Tokyo Samurai. Booked this coz of the excellent reviews. And I think, it did not disappoint me. Even the rooms or beds don't have lock, just a curtain to cover but I felt safe and slept well. The place is close to restaurants, convenience stores, train stations, Sensoji Temple, Namisake Shopping Street, Don Quijote. The Skytree can also be seen from here. The staff are friendly & helpful. We had a great time eating our breakfast at the 5th floor. It is very relaxing as well. You can chill at the lounge there. One thing I hope can change is that they don't provide towels for free. Instead, you need to rent for 50yen. But still, this is a place I want to stay again in Tokyo and I will recommend to everyone. Plus, we were able to witness the local festival 2 blocks away. Great right? ☺️

Great location, sweet staff & clean everything! I would totally come back!=)”
I really liked the location of the hostel, LOVED all the staff members(super helpful & friendly!:)), and the relaxing living room on the fifth floor. The only thing didn't enjoy was climbing up the bunk bed, but for the price, I really can't complain :P Most of the travelers who were staying at the hostel were very quiet & respectful, too, so I really would come back & stay at Khaosan Tokyo Samurai again :)) I got to do fake food making, tea ceremony(matcha) & calligraphy at Khaosan World Tokyo & absolutely LOVED THEM!

Exceptional”
This was my third time booking at the Khaosan Tokyo Sumurai. I enjoy the staff and their wonderful commitment to serving the needs of my stay, plus meeting other world travelers, which is the reason I rather stay at hostels than other venues. I will definitely booked there again when I come back to Japan and stay in Asakusa.

Awesome!”
I've stayed at another khaosan in Kyoto, and this one by far surpassed it! First off. Staff super friendly, Got to check in early-they had so many maps and guides throughout Tokyo AND for day trips (like Nikko). the place is super clean, the capsules are very comfortable, and the shared kitchen space is LOVELY. Much nicer then the previous khaosan. I liked it so much, that I canceled my other guesthouse reservation in Tokyo and booked them again when I head back!

Totally went beyond my expectations. Ten stars.”
If you ever wanted to try out a capsule hotel, or even a hostel, this is absolutely the place to try. Clean facilities, friendly staff with tons of information on the area. Speaking of which, the location is perfect. A 20 minute walk from the Tokyo SkyTree, a FIVE minute walk from Sensoji Shrine, FOUR different subway lines that can take you all over Tokyo, and a plethora of shops and diverse restaurants, all nestled within one of the coolest and laid back neighborhoods in Tokyo, Asakusa. It was a pleasure to call this place home for a while. Try it out!

Great location, value for money”
Right in front Keihan Hotel, not that far from Rox and Don Quixote for easy last minute shopping. Walkable from Tawaramachi or Asakusa Metro Subway Ginza Line or Asakusa Line. Near Sensoji Temple. Lots of food nearby to choose. Pick Matsuya and Yoshinoya for reasonable price. There also Cheap Bento start from 300y nnear Don Quixote. Across the street use bus no 46 can take you to Ueno St and Keisei Ueno St directly

Affordable accomodation in a more casual neighborhood of Tokyo.”
The staff were excellent here! They provided lots of help and information about the local area and beyond. It was my first time in Tokyo, but they got me up to speed quickly. There is also a lot of information (in the form of maps, literature, and hotel made guides. The hotel is not far form the metro line either. The facilities are quite new and comfortable enough. There are humorous and helpful instructions galore as to how the facilities are used. The capsule had a door that closed and could be locked with a provided padlock so that you could store your belongings in the capsule during the day. The kitchen upstairs is fully stocked with whatever needed. Meals could be fully prepared there. The showers were private, and not the open style like you see in some of the other capsule hotels. The neighborhood is also great to stay in and experience. There were many temples from the Edo period, and lots of small friendly local restaurants to experience Japanese cuisine in. I would stay again!

Everything a Backpacker Needs”
Location is within walking distance from Senso-ji temple, with lots of shopping and food sampling opportunities along the way. A particularly happening street at night is nearby. Practically next to Tsukuba Express Asakusa station, Tawaramachi station is a little farther, and within walking distance of Tobu Asakusa station if one is intending to visit Nikko. Kappabashi is also nearby. Has coin-operated laundry facilities and drinks vending machine. Staff speaks English well. Practical and comfy.

Good place to stay but quite far from train”
I stayed at Khosan samurai for a week and here is a pro&cons i found. Pros 1) the front desk staffs are friendly, they speak english quite well. 2) they clean the bed room and wash room daily 3) outsider are not permitted in the facility Cons 1) very far from train stations, I came by Asakusa line from Haneda airport and have to walk aproximately 1km to the facility 2) i have trouble with air condition, i came to Tokyo to visit my friend. So during the day when my friend is at school, I often spend time in the morning/early afternoon in the hostel and it is quite hot. The air is cooler in the evening. 3) the dining room area in the 5th floor is hot for me so i dont use it at all (but the room was decorated beautifully) ** all the travellers are very polite and quiet. I shared a room with 10+ people and they are all quiet.

Worth every penny”
As a solo traveler, I want a comfy place for a cheap price anf that's exactly what this place offer. They have really nice kitchen and common area. They offer free tea and coffee and cook if you want to. Also, you can do your laundry for some coins. It is located near a lot of spots in Asakusa.

Feels like I’m in dojo”
I recently became a fan of iron fist and I felt like I became Colleen Wing in this hostel. 😏 but I loved the ambiance, the staff were great especially the guy as he really looked for us around the hostel just to answer our questions during check-in time on how we can go to Fuji. It’s convenient to go around Tokyo cause the place has a lot of stations around and has Tsukuba express nearby. 😉

WOW!! terrific place!”
Fabulous english speaking staff, outstanding location, super clean throughout, comfortable bed (capsule) that had plenty of room and a small locker. The only downside that I saw was the fact that there isnt large locker for all of your stuff just a chain type lock to attach to your bag. I was traveling light so it didnt bother me. The place looks just like the photos online. I would absolutely stay here again.

Strategic location”
It seems difficult for the transportation from the first time. But it came easy as I take a train by transfer to the asakusa tsukuba express, it really near from our hostel.

Nice location and clean”
Very close to Asakusa temple and other shops, approx. 10 mins walk to the metro. Very clean and everything is quite new. Staff speaks fluent English. However there is only a chain for you to lock your luggage.
