Khaosok Treehouse Resort
As describe, it is a treehouse, and our room is a few metres above ground. The environment is a jungle feeling. Our room is spacious. You feel very close to the trees. It's a different stay compare with other resort. The narrow raise walkway link to your room is getting me excited. However, the hotel lobby closes early. After 8pm, the lights at the lobby and the walkway were switch off. I though we can just sit at the cosy corner in the lobby but could not. So we head back to the room. They should at least leave the walkway lights on. Just a few bulbs only right? But overall we enjoy the stay because it is still a treehouse in the end.
So amazing room and place”
I had the cave room. This is the most amazing and original room I ever been. You really feel like beeing in a cave and the swimming pool was just in front of the room. That was an amazing experience. Location is great if you have a motorbike but not if you cannot drive. But it depends why you are here. If you need to visit the national park, then just take a tuktuk to go there. Amazing place really.
Eco Hotel. Rainwater for washing. It was pretty dirty, brown water in the sink. The shower had a filter but poor water pressure. Also the pool was filled with chlorine. You couldn’t open your eyes for one second. It was burning so much. Not good. Also the breakfast was a little bit sad. We booked the cave room and upon arrival they offered us to look at the room, if we would like it. The air was bad inside, very humid, the mattresses were mouldy. They offered us to stay at a treehouse, which was amazing. We would have loved to stay some more nights there tho. Very friendly people.
Wonderfull Place to stay :-)”
Very friendly owner and staff. We felt nearly at home :-)
Wonderful stay in the middle of nature”
Stayed here for 4 nights in July and absolutely loved it. I had the classic garden view treehouse, which was really comfortable. My TV didn't really work (Couldn't get a good picture) but I wasn't there to watch TV so not a problem for me. The staff were friendly and the food was great. I ate there every night. They also have a laundry service. It's an easy 15 minute walk to get to the main park entrance if you want to trek on your own or they will help with organising tours. There are other restaurants within walking distance if you wanted to try different places.
pleasant place and nice staff”
We had a pleasant stay here, enjoyed the setting in the jungle, with the walkways and huts up in the trees. The rooms are simple but nice, equipped with everything we needed, WiFi worked surprisingly well, even though the huts are spread at quite some distance in the forest. Our Thai dinner was delicious, though for experiencing a real Southern Thai taste, some more spice should perhaps be added. Breakfast was just standard. Staff are friendly, attentive and working hard.
It could be so much better !”
We tried hard to like this place but it is a real dump. When the manager doesn’t smile upon check in that’s a bad sign. The price is outrageous for what you get. Do yourself a favor and stay at one of the many other newer accommodations near the park. Jasmine Garden is brand new and nice. Khao Sok nature place is much better and half the price of treehouse resort.
Great Location with real Jungle feeling and extrem friendly and supporting staff!! Perfect if you take it as BASE for your Tours - a big und Thank to sakda and His Team for supporting US!! And Try the resort Kirchen - it is fabulous and NOT more expansive than Outside!
Was not what I expected. Glamping at best. Prices were extremely high for tours and rides from resort. Toilet plugged every flush. Shower was hardly useable.
Friendly people, thoughtful ”
Very clean, very friendly staff, amazing experience.
Very nice but beware the Agoda booking tricks”
Booked a room for 4 but only one double bed. Booking mentioned that kids under 12 stay for free. However upon arrival we learned that you have to pay for extra beds. Spoke to a local agoda rep on the phone but she was unwilling to listen and hang up on me. Poor, very poor agoda!!! Besides this problems, the staff is very kind and service minded and it is a great place to stay.
Very special place”
The owners made this place a very special one. Although - of course - outside the national park you feel like you are right in the jungle. We were treated extremely friendly and experienced great help in organising our short stay. Far beyond simple tour booking. Very attentive staff.
Best Place to Stay”
We were welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived late from the train station. The food at the resort was the best of our two week trip and we ate every meal there. My granddaughter and I have special dietary needs and they accommodated us at every turn. We easily arranged daily activities at the front desk and had incredible adventures. Be sure to climb up to the observation walk-ways and lookouts. The views are magnificent and should not be missed. We loved staying in the treehouse. The room was comfortable and well equipped. We both want to go back!
This hotel is really close to the national park so you can just walk to the entrance. The rooms are really cute and they have a great set up. The only complaint is that the food was too oily and a little overpriced
If you ever wanted to sleep in a jungle high above the trees, then that's a perfect place to do it. I had one of the cheaper houses, which was fine for me but the more expensive ones were even more impressive.
Great staff and very cool experience”
There really weren't that many bugs, it wasn't as dirty as some people have claimed, and honestly for sleeping in a treehouse it was pretty damn luxurious! My only complaint is the pillows were way to thick and hurt my neck, so I just ended up sleeping on my travel pillow. Other than that it was kind of a once in a lifetime experience. Opt for the air conditioning!
Great Location, awesome service”
A short but sweet flying visit- stayed in an awesome treehouse deep in the bamboo forest, so peaceful! The site was big and had great facilities- good restaurant, nice swimming pool and a trendy looking bar. The Manageress was brilliant, she organised our canoeing trip (highly recommended) and onward transfers and generally looked after us very well.
You're in a treehouse”
So it's a treehouse but you're also supported by metal stilts. But seriously you're up in the trees in the jungle!!! So that needs to be remembered for this review. We were able to upgrade rooms because the resort wasn't full. The first room was OK, the second room was AWESOME! They set us up with a transfer from the airport after the buses were done running at the last minute before we flew to Surat Thani, so that was cool, but maybe make sure you fly in with enough time to catch the 1400 bus. It's way more affordable. They booked us a jungle tour for the next day and set us up with a transfer from the resort to Koh Samui when we left. Great staff and well organized! Rooms smelled a little funky/moldy because we are in a rain forest, but it takes some getting used to. The bed was comfy but the pillows were too big and stiff. Shower was hot but little water pressure (remember, in the jungle). Food was OK. Not sure if there are other options, we were only there for two nights. Glad we did it.
Lots of Character”
We stayed in the luxury Tarzan suite. The hotel itself has a lot of character and you do feel in the middle of the jungle. Bath wasn't really worth having (it had a shower into it and not taps, and not very clean). The rest of the room was clean, but a lot of ants around. So be careful if leaving anything out they might like to get into. Walls were a bit thin, we only had someone next door for 1 night but you can hear (and feel) when they walked around (it is a treehouse). There were also lots of ants, so be careful of leaving anything they might like to get into. It was close to the bus stop (400m approx) so you can walk there. But there's no other restaurants or shops around, so you're limited to the food they serve - which was just ok. They had a nice swimming pool, shaded area though so no good for sun bathing. There was also a pool table. Owner was very friendly and accommodating, they sort out the trips for you at reception.
Couldn't bring myself to stay the night.”
On arrival, the staff could not have been less courteous or welcoming. I was first urged to purchase a package of activities by the owner, with nary a "hello." Then I was escorted to my room by a staff member who never once looked at me, was on her cell phone the entire time, unlocked the door and left. Didn't show me where any of the facilities were, didn't say hello or goodbye--it was as if I didn't exist. The room was musty and the bathroom smelled gross, and there was no way to get any fresh air in or ventilate the bad smells out. I just picked up my bags, dropped my keys at the front desk ( no response) and found much, much better just down the road. Light and airy, lovely people, same price.
