Simple nice breakfast. Low privacy as the doors are in glass while the curtain couldn't cover up from end to end. Interesting to have an open air bathroom but not a good option if raining. Little remote and private location but it is a nice hotel if you want to stay in somewhere different.
I stayed here with my parents visiting from the Netherlands, and I wanted to give the some authentic Thai experience. And we got what we wished for. We arrived at 19.00h, and nobody was there anymore except one lady caretaker with 2 children. The rooms were made, clean and you see the stars in the shower!! Quite authentic. But the biggest win is the breakfast. Traditional Thai deserts, toasts, instant coffee, fake orange juice. And you sit in a completely secluded area, overlooking the wide canal at sunrise. Birds whistling, bees humming, an occasional long-tail boat passing by. The old farmer across the canal turns on his radio, which subsequently blares traditional Thai songs in shrill sounds over the water. The farmer himself dressed only in a sarong from the waist down. On the background his dilapidated traditional house on stilts, made of teak wood. That is Thailand... Wonderful.
Lovely stay in Samut Songkhram”
We had a nice short trip to Samut Songkhram. The resort is next to the river, near to Amphawa floating market. However you need a car or motorbike to get around since it is not near a main road. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated with an "open air bathroom". It was er clean the breakfast buffet was good too. All in all a nice small resort in beautiful surroundings next to the river.
Pleasant stay but Hotel is about 4 kms from the town so not easy without your own transport, tuktuk is 100 baht each way. Room was good, bathroom is outdoors. Staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Beds a bit hard like many in Thailand outside Bangkok. By river, many boats go by even after dark so can be a bit noisy. Good breakfast.
Excellent Place to Stay....”
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Khetwarin Resort. It was helpful that we drove our own vehicle there, as the place is set back several km from the main road. But, the facilitaties were great, the garden area was beautiful, the staff were fabulous, and the overall experience there was relaxing and refreshing for us! We will go again!!
Peaceful place in a beautiful garden setting by water. ”
The owner was helpful in arranging transportation for us so we could easily visit the floating market. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we were able to eat outdoor by the water. This is in a beautiful natural setting with birds singing and fish jumping. The garden is spectacular.
Comfortable riverside resort”
We stayed only one night, arriving at about 4pm by Tuk Tuk from Samut Songkhram. (120 Baht). Pleasant afternoon with a few drinks by the river before taking a boat cruise recommended by the resort, to the Amphawa market. (900 Baht for the boat. Only 3 on board but could take 10). Great trip and good value as firefly viewing was included. Good bed, Breakfast OK.
Excellent hotel to stay with family, hotel had no problem to provide with extra bed for our kid, great garden and river view, staff is very reactive and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. Great place to stay and enjoy the markets. A must stay in amphawa.
comfy room,very friendly stuff,great food”
This place is a must stay if you are in Amphawa! The resort is quite hidden, located next to a river and it would be more convenient to have a car if you stay there.but even I as solo traveller without car enjoyed my stay. The lady renting the rooms is really helpful with organizing taxi's,tuk tuk's or boats. The breakfast is simply amazing as well as the rest of the food!the restaurant is located outside, next to the river. You don't feel like staying in a hotel,it's like staying at someone's house. The rooms are really comfortable, what I really liked is the outdoor shower,..... A MUST STAY!!!!!!!
Lovely quiet place along the river”
Hidden in a forestry surrounding, Khetwarin is difficult to find but a very nice place to discover! Very close to Amphawa and Samut Sonkhram attractions, where you can get by car/taxi or by boat. The resort is quiet, clean, green and spatial and has not too many rooms. The open-air restaurant has a nice view over the river. Together with very friendly personnel and good food it makes Khetwarin Resort a very nice and pleasant place to stay.
Special place if you like peacefull setting”
Khetwarin Resort is a real nice place... if you're into it. Allthough it's main focus is on Thai visitors, farang will fit well. Try to speak a little bit of Thai (if you're up to it). Don't expect a bar, swimming pool or other entertainment: it's "just" a guesthouse. Restaurant open until 22:00 (kitchen 21:00). Rooms are really good (hot water, aircon, tv, fridge), quiet surroundings at the river (okay: forget about these longtails that pass every know and then).
Romantic location ”
This resort house located beside river and has beautiful garden. In the morning a monk came by boat, we pray with the owner and another guests. After that took breakfast all together, like a family. There are many beautiful flowers and cute dogs, and elegant fishes in the pound. In the evening we sit on the bench and see the river. It must be very romantic for lovers.
No service mind staff”
The room comes with breakfast, but no variety and not time flexible.
very enjoyable. Staff very fast and kind. English spoken, breackfast no too much choice but enough to get up. For the price the room are very nice.
Nice place, canal aside, clean room and nice staff
the place and the owner so nice and kind”
beutifull place to spend time on any time.
Nice garden and riverside view, clean and quiet.”
It provided nice value and service with natural environment.
Good location with awesome service”
Very good service from the owners of the resort. They made us feel like we are at home. Open air bathroom can get tricky with Mosquitos though.
