Serenity incarnate”
We came here expecting simple rustic accomodations, which is what Khmer Hands provides. Having to use a lock for our bungalow or to get dressed and to wear shoes to go to the bathroom were the only downside. But man is the service unrivalled. We got warmily greeted upon arrival, given all the necessary information to plan our whole 4 days in Kep and were provided with whatever we nedded promptily (tuk tuk, bikes, scooter). Food was out of this world and Naome gladly offered to teach and share her recipes. We left to sleep in another hotel i had booked before Khmer Hands, but my wife and I found ourselves back to Kris and Naome's Khmer Hands for an unrivalled lunch. All in all a memorable, down-to-earth and genuinely pleasant experience!

Good, basic accommodation in Kep”
Khmer Hands is a quiet little guesthouse comprising of budget, standard and deluxe bungalows. We booked budget but were upgraded to the standard bungalow due to being the only guests there that night. A deluxe would have been appreciated! In all seriousness though, the standard bungalows are quite sufficient for what we needed during our stay in Kep. Located a bit of a walk from the bus stop we were able to ask our minibus driver to drop us further off up the road towards Kampot. Just get off at the ATM and the guesthouse is a 5 minute walk up the road towards the national park. The crab market was close by and you can have motos dropped off at the guesthouse for you to rent. The room was clean, if dated and insects are everywhere as the bungalow is open. Luckily, you are provided a mosquito net, though you may have to do some emergency repairs to any holes. The room had a nice en-suite bathroom with a cool sink made from a barrel, even if there was lots of hair in the bottom. The food at the restaurant is good, we had Fish Amok and Beef Lok Lak but breakfast is not included. The restaurant is also a nice place to just sit and chill for a while, with views over the bay complementing the relaxed vibe of the guesthouse. The staff of the guesthouse are extremely friendly. The owner Chris is always happy for a chat and has some good suggestions on what to do in the area. He lives just under the restaurant with his wife Naome and their adorable three children. Kim, the man in charge when Chris is away, is also really helpful and chatty. Maps of the local area are provided on check in and payment for rooms and any expenses can be done by card. I mentioned before that the scooter hire is outsourced. Make sure you check the bike thoroughly; our one did not have working headlights. That said, I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay!”
We spent 3 nights at Khmer Hands and hosts Kris and Naome made every aspect of our stay more enjoyable - they really are incredible hosts in every way. My partner arrived unwell and Kris responded with "we'll get you better in no time!" before rushing off to get him medicine and a magic multivitamin sachet and when we ran out of painkillers on our last day he immediately offered more - I can't thank him enough for his kindness and reassurance. I enjoyed some great conversations with Kris and Naome on the lovely communal balcony - a great spot for catching the cooling sea breeze whilst reading a book or having a bite to eat from the restaurant (open 7am - 9pm). One small suggestion would be to add a few soft mats, cushions or hammocks to laze in! We are also grateful to Kris for giving us a brilliant map and a suggested itinerary to follow for the day we hired a motorbike from them (6$) - we explored the national park, visited the Butterfly Farm and Sothy's Pepper Farm, enjoyed a scenic route past the salt fields and the more rural side of Kep, saw a few of the old colonial buildings and ended up at the crab market on the seafront. I'd also recommend watching the sunset at The Sailing Club, only a 15 minute walk away. The bungalow we stayed in though rustic had a good hot shower, mosquito net, moveable fan, side tables and useful shelves and hooks to put your belongings on. The view of the mountain / surrounding trees was lovely. We weren't disturbed by cockerels or any road noise at night which made for a welcome change to many places we'd stayed in SEA. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend to all!

Best place to stay in Kep”
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time here. Chris, his family and the rest of the staff is super friendly and courteous. The rooms are simple but we felt pretty comfortable. If your looking for food it's around 20 minutes to the crib market or you just stay and get some delicious food from the kitchen (the amok is great). If you have no idea what to do in Kep just ask Chris and he will provide you with a map of the surrounding area a lots of tips for a day trip to a pepper farm or to Kampot (best done with a scooter that you can rent right at the guesthouse) . We would definitively recommend to stay at Khmer Hands Bungalows for a couple of days!

This place can MAKE your stay in kep”
Fantastic stay here. Chris the owner is very helpful and can thoroughly explain or help plan any activities you express interest in. There was an overbooking issue the first night but it was handled with complete professionalism: Chris drove us to an acceptable (if different) substitute then upgraded our room on our second night as well as a third night we extended at the same price. The raised bungalow was a cool setting looking up towards the national park. The room had a mosquito net, hot shower, and a comfy bed. The food and drink prices were consistent with other places around Kep it is a bit higher than our previous and subsequent destinations. Rented a brand new motorbike for $6 tho! From here you can walk to the crab market or the bus station if you're willing to put in the half hour, kep seemed pretty spread out but it's worth being here for the beauty. I strongly reccomend this place to anyone staying in kep. If it's a couple dollars more I'm certain it's worth it

Fantastic stay”
We had a fantastic stay here. Before we booked we read the reviews and decided to book a long stay (17 nights) - I'm so glad we did! The bungalows are lovely, very cute, clean and comfortable. Wifi was fast. Great location next to the National Park. Food is excellent - great value for money and very tasty. But the absolute stand out thing for us was the owners - Chris and Naomi. Nothing was too much trouble for them and so friendly, lovely chats in the evening. All the staff are cheerful and helpful. We wish Khmer Hands the best of luck with the school, hopefully one day we'll be back to see for ourselves!

Beautiful facility - will definitely be back!”
My wife and I recently stayed in one of the elevated bungalows for a couple of nights. The bungalows are gorgeous, clean and just a stones throw from the national park and the crab market area. The owner and his wife are warm, friendly and welcoming. The local staff is a pleasure and are eager to ensure your stay is comfortable. The onsite restaurant is beautiful and is elevated to catch the breezes. The food is tremendous and the beers are icy cold. We would recommend Khmer Hands highly and we will be back.

You gotta stay here!”
Khmer Hands is simply a must-stay kind of place. Chris and Naome are amazing, kind hosts, and all of the staff/students working here too! They've got something very special and it was a highlight of our Kep stay. The food is so so tasty. Truly great value for money, as we payed just $10 per night and were very comfortable in our little grass hut!

Amazing Stay Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer!”
We left khmer hands a few days ago and are still talking about it! Our room was adorable and quite, we spent most of our time in the reception area relaxing and eating there amazing food. We ate all our meals there except one, the food is fantastic! They also have a beautiful craft store which sells amazing bracelets, other jewelry, bags and they have a learning centre on site which teaches sewing and they sell the clothing there as well. We really enjoyed our stay, the owner is so kind and we had some great lengthy conversations with him and his staff couldn't be better! It was tough to leave and even more difficult not to compare everywhere else we stay to this amazing property.

Excellent stay in gorgeous Khmer thatch hut”
We stayed in a traditional thatch hut at Khmer hands and loved it. The huts are amazing fun to stay in and you get your own separate but private bathroom in the block across the garden. There is access to the national park at the back of the hotel which we highly recommend checking out for a dawn hike around the park. Chris's food recommendations for places at the crab market were spot on. We can't recommend this place or the excellent work they carry out training young people in the hospitality industry highly enough.

Absolutely wonderful! ”
Me and my partner stayed at Khmer Hands originally for 2 nights , we then extended it to an extra 3 nights as it was so homely and relaxing. The staff were so welcoming and would try to accommodate you in every way. Especially the owners who were so friendly and chatty aswell as very knowledgable of the area. The setting is so beautifull you'll never want to leave your little wooden hut. It's very clean and the food is great but the best aspect for us is that by you staying there your helping the owners run there school for the locals to learn English and vocational skills. Absolutely brilliant, would go back in a heartbeat.

A lot of peace and tranquility”
Really glad that we took spontaneous decision to visit Kep as we were able to find this piece of heaven. Owners and staff were really friendly went out of there way to make us feel welcome.Good food incredible surroundings and wonderful thatched style Bungalows. Are definitely going back only this time we will select room with bathroom and not shared. The shared bathrooms are clean but if you need the toilet at night much better to have one in the room. Highly recommend.

Beautiful bungalows in a very relaxed & welcoming setting”
Great place to relax in Kep. Perfect location to walk to the crab market and national park, and also a little bit further is the beach. Welcoming and friendly owners & staff, beautiful big bungalows and amazing food. I was able to get some clothes mended by the onsite sewing school which was very convenient and nice to be able to support. The associated cafe in the town is also a lovely place to spend an afternoon looking over the water.

Lovely stay and awesome owners!!!”
Highly recommend renting a scooter through them. It's a bit of a walk to the crab market, so we rented a scooter for one day, and it was perfect. We went to the crab market, beach, pepper farm, and national park. Chris has a handy map for guests to have a DIY day, and it had the perfect route for us to guide us through the countryside. He and his staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are basic but clean. There were a few cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom, but overall clean and they made our bed each morning. Sunset is great on their terrace. Great place to stay in Kep!
