Na Tai is one of Phuket’s most remote beach communities. It lies on the mainland about 25 kilometers north of the airport on a stretch of light golden sands. Far from the high-energy resorts of Patong, Na Tai is an unspoiled haven for luxury travelers.
Na Tai operates the Yacht Haven Marina, an important shipyard that welcomes luxury yachts that belong to some of the world’s wealthiest, most powerful tycoons. It’s not uncommon to see the vessels of Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen or the Sultan of Brunei pulling into the harbor.
Development is still a new force in Nai Tai, and the beach is slowly trading its remote qualities for a more exclusive atmosphere. There are only a few hotels in Nai Tai, but they’re brand new and fully equipped with five-star services and immaculate grounds. Guests have access to Blue Canyon and Thai Muang golf courses, and they enjoy some of the finest dining and entertainment options in Phuket.
Na Tai also operates a few residential communities with resort-style villas that are available for sale or rent. These are among the most stylish beachfront properties in Phuket, and they’re some of the few truly ‘beachfront’ properties for rent in the area.
Locally, the best restaurants and nightclubs are attached to the main resorts in Na Tai. Tourists looking for a livelier or more affordable scene can easily connect to busier districts further south along the Andaman coast. Patong is a little over an hour’s drive to the south, with several resorts and commercial areas in between.
