Our stay was peaceful, wonderful and delightful.”
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Centara Khum Phaya Resort & Spa. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone interested in staying in Chiang Mai. This was our first time in Thailand and we look forward to going back one day. The resort is so peaceful and I love the trees and nature surrounding it all. I do not have anything negative to say about this resort. It certainly was the right price for us and exceeded our expectation. Thank you.
Garden of Eden in Chiang Mai!”
I was born in Thailand but have never been to Chiang Mai until now. The city is cleaner and much less hectic than busy Bangkok! Khum Phaya Centara was a piece of garden of eden in a busy tourist town. The ground is lovely and green and staff very friendly! What a view from my room to the pool, so serene & nice looking water. Make sure you have mosquito spray (the resort do spray everyday for mosquitoes). The welcome lemongrass drink was refreshing! The resort make you feel like you are in a different world, in your own private garden with lake and waterfall. Definitely recommend!
Dear Our Value Guest, Warmest Greeting from Chiangmai, Thank you for staying with us and for your fantastic review. We are great to know that your stay was outstanding and the hotel did fulfill all of your wishes.Your fabulous feedback are highly appreciated and really encourage us to keep it up as to serve you even better on your future visits. We look forward for a pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future. Best regards, SW
Look no further, this place is amazing.”
From the moment we got to Khum Phaya and rang the gong on the front steps, we knew we were in for a special stay. The resort is flawless. It's an oasis among the busy streets of Chiang Mai, but still plenty close to enjoy everything the city has to offer. The pool is probably the most unique I have ever seen. It stretches on forever under beautiful low hanging trees. The resort is located about 15 minutes from the old city by taxi (150-300 Baht). You can get back to the hotel easily via taxi or tuk tuk from the busier parts of the city. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
Exceptional”
Very pleasant 5 nights in Khum Phaya Resort with my family (3 adults). Staff is super friendly and helpful and know their duties very well. We commuted to city using Grab app so the distance was not a bother at all. The resort compound is lovely and the pool possibly the best so far. If I am to mention one negative thong....prices at the hotel are at the high end though food is very good. There are other options for dinner nearby but some close early. We had breakfast included to the room price, many dishes to choose from. All in all a very pleasant stay. I will not hesitate to recommend the place.
dear value guest, thank you for stay w. us and give us the great comments. as well, we are appreciated about that.wishing to welcome you again for your next visited best regards jirachada a
Picturesque”
If you are looking for a romantic place to stay while in Chiang Mai I couldn't reccomend the Khum Phaya more. There was a slight glitch with the booking, in that we booked a delux room overlooking the pool, however they upgraded us to a Villa which was just stunning. A stand out has to be the husband and wife team on the tour desk. A simple pick up from the airport turned in to an afternoons excursion to the hilltop temple a drive around Chiang Mai. The elephant trek, lunch, Karen Hilltribe and Tiger Kingdom booking that was arranged was also marvelous. Well done.
Grace Dignity Beauty”
This is a spectacular resort--with the most helpful people, exquisite gardens, and enough greenery so the diesel fumes from the street are not in evidence. The spa is fantastic rivaling the best we have ever been too... the staff are helpful in terms of supplying drivers, possible tours, recommendations for tailors and restaurants and more. It is near David's Kitchen voted one of the best restaurants in Asia as well as Pak Daang a restaurant on the river that "changes lives" and teaches young people financial planning, mandarin, english and culinary arts. Go to Khum Phaya You won't be disappointed.
dear value guest thank you for stay w. us and give us the great comments.we are really appreciated about that. wishing to welcome you again for your next visited warm regards j.a.
Wonderful resort - best we stayed at.”
khum phaya was unquestionably the 'accommodation' highlight of our trip. from the standard of the rooms to the loveliness of the grounds, it exceeded any and all expectations we had before arriving. hotel staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful, and the nearby lanna dance show (located in front and to the left of the khum phaya resort) is fun way to spend your first night.
Beautiful resort with wonderful staff ”
We were pleased to show up and find that Khum Phaya lived up to the pictures shown on the site! Beautiful landscaping with really relaxing and comfortable rooms. My favorite part was the Ganesha next to the pool area! Would definitely recommend Khum Phaya to anyone traveling to Chiang Mai!
Beautiful rooms and beautiful staff”
Khum phaya resort is what you want. The most relaxing, easy going, luxurious, resort we've ever stayed in. Could not ask for better service. Had everything to offer and more. Helpfull Staff, restaurant, pool, everything you could wish for. We can't wait to plan our next trip to Thailand. Will definatly include khum phaya resort. 10/10
What an Excellent Resort!”
We were so impressed by the beauty of this Lanna cultural designed resort. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. While not located in the noisy city centre, the resort shuttle service made access a breeze. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the property both day and night. The pool is spectacular and the breakfasts fabulous. We will definitely return to Khum Phaya!
wonderful experiance”
my wife and myself were blown away when we arrived at your resort. We had a romantic honeymoon at your lovely resort the staff was so professional and the grounds were so well keeped. It made us feel so relaxed .the staff was so helpful.I will tell all my freinds about the lovely Prince Khum Phaya
Great Environment for Relaxing”
Stayed at Khum Phaya Resort for 2 nights with all my colleagues. we were in a company trip. Everyone was very satisfied with the cosy environment in the bedroom, nicely decorated. When we are tired, jacuzzi is always ready in the room for us to relax after a whole day walk in bazaar.
Great resort with direct room access to pool”
we found khum phaya resort to be an excellent base from which to explore chiang mai. whilst a little out of town, the resort was quiet, relaxed and well maintained. the room had dierect access to the pool, which was fantastic. also, the resort is a short walk to a large shopping centre and directly opposite an excellent night market with great thai food and bargains. would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel but 15/20 minutes out of the city”
The hotel itself is beautiful. My wife and I stayed in a superior room Oct 30 - Nov 2, 2009. No need to upgrade. Nice decor, our room looked out to the pool (I think most rooms do) and there was always hotel staff available when we needed. The hotel offered free shuttle services to various locations in the city. This proved helpful as the hotel is about 15-20 mins outside of the main city. Note: As the hotel is relatively new, we found that the taxi (both taximeter and the red taxi) drivers were not familiar with the location. We had the phone number along with address of the hotel but the taxi driver had to call to verify the location. Keep the phone number and address with you when catching a taxi from the airport. A map of the hotel might prove helpful as well. There is a shopping mall nearby if you want cheap eats, some shopping and there is also a grocery store in the mall. Note that getting the hotel to book a taxi (not tuk tuk or red taxi) is charged at a premium. You can consider walking out to a nearby street and catching a taxi instead of getting the hotel to call for a taxi. We went to the Chiang Mai Zoo and it cost us 300 baht for the 15 minute ride from the hotel because we had the hotel call a taxi for us. The ride from the airport to the hotel was about the same time and it was only 112 baht with the meter on. Overall a great experience. Having arrived from Bangkok, it is a much quieter, slower paced city. Definitely would recommend staying at the Prince Khum!
Wonderful restful pool time”
This is our third time back to Khum Phaya resort. It is a restful place to swim around the beautiful pool. However a few things were not the best: construction noises from neighboring buildings, bar fridge never got cold in any of the rooms we stayed in, high prices for pool bar and food. We would still come back, but these fixes could make our stay more enjoyable. They keep the pool pretty clean even though there are a number of plumeria trees around.
Absolutely AMAZING!”
We were in Thailand for 3 weeks, Chiang Mai being our first stop. This was by far the best place we stayed at during the whole trip. Staff was friendly and fast. They spoke good enough English to where we were able to communicate our needs and/or wants. They have a shuttle that runs a few times a day into town which was very helpful and handy. The info table had adventures and activities you could do and they also provided us with a map of the city and showed us points of interest and how to get there. Every day we were greeted with warm smiles and welcoming hearts. The staff was eager to learn about us and willing to help in any way possible. The room was very big with a comfortable bed and great air conditioning. The bathroom was huge with a separate tub and shower. We stayed in a Pool Access room which was amazing. We opened our back door to a balcony that we literally could walk right into the pool from. The pool has a swim up bar and also a children's area as well. The ONLY negative thing I would say about this place is that the restaurant is a little spendy, especially when you can go into town and get meals around 50 baht (about $30 US). We never ate there so I am not sure how the food was but we did look over the menu, which was mostly western food, and the prices were just too high.
Amazing Staff and Facilities”
I've stayed at many hotels and resorts in Thailand and most places have friendly staff members. But the staff at Khum Phaya was the best. Always ready to help with a smile. Great job guys!!!
dear value guest, thank you for your great comments,we are really appreciated about that.certainly we will pass your appreciation to our staffs, they will glad to hear that and feel appreciation to your comments. wishing to welcome you again for your next visited warm regards J.A.
Look antique but modernized hotel”
comfortable room and good service. All staffs are nice and have service mind. Staffs are warm welcome all guests. Just one point, don't say anything that you don't have in the room yet, i.e., no internet access (but you advertised you have this service). Room are not clean in some area. Spraying around the room to protect mosquitos. For food and dining, foods are above excellent and above expectation. It's not too much choices but well prepared and selected dishes. I suggest they should provide guests with local Thai newspaper such as business newspaper or general newspaper. Overall, local staffs have smiled face and nice with all guests. I strongly recommend to stay here once a time. It's value of money in compare with other five stars hotel around Chiang Mai area.
Lovely Spa Hotel”
we enjoyed our stay at this great spa hotel to its fullest and regretted having to leave after four days. it is an ideal place to relax, far away from the hectic and noise of a major city, yet the night bazar and other attractions of chiang mai are within easy reach through the free hotel shuttle service. the design and layout of the swimming pool is great and direct access to the pool from many rooms of the hotel (first floor only)is ideal. the water temperature was a bit low in january, but this might change during other times of the year. there are many spa packages offered in a very nice atmosphere by well-trained and skilled staff. the staff of the hotel, in general was very helpful and pleasant. we would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to other travellers.
Stunning grounds - being there was so relaxing!”
Upon arrival at this resort, the lobby was the perfect introduction to this fabulous hotel. Open-air concept, lots of couches to sit and relax, water on either side. We were served a beverage upon check-in. Internet is readily accessible in the lobby as well. When entering the resort, the sound of trinkling water is a beautiful sound. The flora and fauna is specatular. They are always people around grooming and catering to the grounds to keep it looking in top shape. We were blown away by the lagoon pool snaking it's way through the resort. We highly recommend spending a little extra to get the pool access room with the water at your doorstep. Just fabulous! We went in August, so there were not many people at the resort which made us feel like we had a private pool. Jacuzzi in the room was a welcomed addition. They set up the bed and jacuzzi with flower petals welcoming us as honeymooners. This made us feel very special. The massages we got were slightly overpriced although they had a buy one, get one 50% off deal. The quality of the massage was just ok. My husband and I ordered seemingly different massages but they seemed to end up being the same. Although it was nice to get massages in the same room at the same time. Breakfast was above average and had a variety of items. I would definately come back to this resort. It was our favourite of the 5 places we stayed in Thailand. Only negative thing was that it is far from the city centre so you need to get a taxi. They do have a shuttle that leaves at a particular time but if you don't book in advance, it may be filled-up.
