Great Location with Car park”
The hotel is a bit old but the room is big. (I booked Loft room in total of 3 beds with one bunk bed). The hotel provide coupon for free bowling but we didnt have time for that. The hotel is very close to mall and walking street. I love this small town. We stayed here for one night visited the park and the zoo inside the park then walking street. You will find shoe-plaza in sunroad which the shoes are really cheap.

I attended a conference in the International Christian University, but booked Kichijoji Dai-ichi Hotel instead of the nearer one next to the Musashi-Sakai station. I was not disappointed. The hotel is easily accessible from the Kichijoji station (5 mins walk). The room is spacious by Tokyo standards. When I am on conference trip, there are usually two things I look out for: (1) proximity to 7-Eleven or equivalent convenience stores, and (2) proximity to affordable restaurants. The nearest 7-Eleven is within the same city block as Kichijoji Dai-ichi Hotel, and the area between the hotel and the train station is a shopping district packed full of interesting and affordable (< 1000 JPY per meal) restaurants. I discovered on my last day the greatest advantage of staying in Kichijoji: there are direct buses from/to Haneda Airport and also Narita Airport!

Fantastic and Centralised place!”
Hotel is about a good 5 mins walk away from Kichijoji station (along the chuo line). Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by a cafe, instead of a lobby. Taking the elevator up to the lobby, we realised the lobby was abit small. We should have realised that the small lobby would also be sort of pre-empting us about how small the room was. However, we were in tokyo to explore and not to spend time in the hotel room. The cleanliness of the place and the terrific service of the staff made our trip very enjoyable! Not to forget, there is also free access and complimentary use of the bowling alley. Guests would just have to do a booking with the front desk at the lobby. All in all, the location and great service of the hotel made our stay at Dai-ichi Kichijoji a very pleasant one.

Basically, good facilities and location, however people with business or activities in central Tokyo would do better to get a hotel in central Tokyo instead of Kichijoji. Trains can be crowded and we had delays.

Nice hotel with very good service. Easy access to everything in Kichijoji neighbourhood by walking. Plenty of shopping and restaurant around.

What I like about this hotel was that it was inside a mall- lots of shopping and easy access to the "touristy" things we did. I accidentally left my passport at the hotel upon check out and they were kind enough to mail it back to me. I am very greatful for that! Their customer service is wonderful. What I didn't like about the hotel though, is that parking is expensive and almost nonexistent. For about 2 days of parking, we spent about $123!!! Wish there was discount for staying at the hotel. But if you don't drive, parking is not an issue. We had a toddler, so driving is the best option for us. Also, the rooms were a little small and some of the appliances were outdated, but other than that, they seem clean. Would recommend this hotel!

It was the best place during my first trip in Japan. Very convenient, clean, comfy and roomy in a beautiful neighborhood. Short distance from Kichijoji station. Love it there!

Expensive but good”
I had a very relaxing stay here. It was close to the Kichijoji Station, plus shops and restaurants are abundant as well. The staff are really nice and friendly! :) I guess that's why it's expensive - you get what you pay for. :)

Better than the photos ”
This is a fun and less touristy part of Tokyo that we chose for its proximity to the. Studio Ghibli Museum. This hotel is really lovely and somehow the photos don’t do it justice.

Lovely stay”
We enjoyed staying at the Kichijojo Dai-chi Hotel very much. The area is fantastic, and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the station. Great selection at breakfast of both Japanese and Continental options. Room was spacious, and super clean. Bonus, you get free access to the bowling. This time we didn't get time to go, but will definitely have a game on our next trip.

We stayed only 1 night at this hotel and we arrived very late at night and left the next morning, so not much we can say about this hotel. Some obvious points we found from the hotel is; the hotel lobby is 1 level up an escalator above a shopping centre. The escalator did not run 24/7 but there was a lift not too far behind from the escalator. The hotel was exactly as we see from the pictures at Agoda. We love the interior. The room was very small (like most other hotels in Japan), not very convenient for people travelling with huge luggages, however it was cozy! Overall it was the one of the nearest decent hotel we could find nearest to Ghibli Museum (1 or 2 train station away).

helpful staff & great location”
i spent one night here, it was last night in Japan but I do love it more than a whole trip when I checked in I asked front staff to book the airport limousine bus to shinjuku, but probably it was a misunderstanding, they cant book and I have known this issue in the late evening the limousine counter closed, I was getting upset but the front staff help me to find out the best way to go to airport, so I did like they suggest and reached it on time by saving money more than the way I missed before. Thank you Daiichi hotel see you next time!

Nice hotel in a convenient location”
My mom and I were here only for a night and we enjoyed it. The room is small but bigger than many other places we stayed at. The hotel is close to the subway station but on a quiet street. Staff members are really friendly and we felt at home.

Great Hotel but very small room”
The facade of the hotel appeared to be very upscale. The lobby is located on the second floor where one needed to take the elevator up to the front desk. The front desk personnel spoke very little English but enough to communicate. Upon entering the room that I was given, I was surprised at how small and mediocre in comparison to the outer facade of the hotel. Fortunately I had only booked one night and it sufficed.

Although it seems to be a rather dated hotel with limited facilities, the hotel staff were very helpful & friendly and their excellent service level made up for it. Rooms were small but clean.
