Grand breakfast and super clean hotel”

Staffs are genuinely cordial and helpful. Rooms are extraordinary clean. Mini-kitchen attaches to every room is well equipped. Clothes dryer in every bathroom is helpful. Most importantly, their breakfast (which is free for the hotel boarders) is grand, fabulous, comparable to any five stars hotel around the world!

Clean and spacious rooms. Functional kitchenette with good size fridge. Comfy beds. Modern bathroom. Good breakfast in a cozy restaurant. Parking space included in every room, with possibility to charge an electric car (not advertised, but possible) or use engine heater. Electricity costs 20e for stay.

Doors between rooms didn’t have locks! That is bad. Check-out at 10 is too early, especially when breakfast was 8-10. Restaurant too crowded and badly planned for breakfast, everyone didn’t get a seat upon arrival. Breakfast should start at least at 7.

Great place to stay if you ski, snowboard, snowshoe in the winter. Staff is really nice, rooms are comfortable, beds are so nice that we actually decided to get the same beds for home. The picture was our view from our room.
This time in the room there were some dishes that weren’t cleaned properly and some dishes still in the dishwasher, that was a bad surprise but otherwise everything else was clean and nice.

Staff was excellent, very helpful. Food in the restaurant was tasty both at breakfast and at dinner time. Our room was super comfortable with all the facilities one could hope for and some more. We would happily have stayed longer but had already made other plans.

A disappointment”

The location was convenient as the national park and the skiing routes were within a walking distance. The room had a nice view of Pikku-Syöte (the rooms on the other side had a view of the parking lot and you could see into the rooms walking by, so it's a good idea to ask for a room on the side of Pikku-Syöte if you value views and privacy). The room was nicely decorated. It was very convenient to have a kitchen.
I did not feel safe in terms of covid, because the staff members at the restaurant/reception did not wear face masks in customer contact. Reception was not always open during the opening hours. The room was somewhat dirty: there were hairs from shaving on the sink, wine stains on the floor, cheese on the oven sheet. There was no coffee or tea. The kitchen was missing some necessary equipment such as paper for the oven sheet (hence it was dirty as people had used it without one), filter bags for the coffee machine. The breakfast was basic. For vegans there was no spread for bread, vegan cheese or cold cuts, nor (on most days) jogurt. They also ran out of muesli and when I asked if they could fill it up, the staff member ignored me and just took the empty package and said nothing. A day before my arrival, I received an offer from the hotel to stay one extra night for a discount price on 69 euros. I found the offer very attractive since the current price at booking was 193 euros per night! On arrival I asked to take up the offer and the reception clerk was just booking me in, when I made the mistake of telling him honestly that I had another booking after my current one (I had booked it later separately in case of having to cancel). Then he got upset and refused to give me the offer because it was only meant for new bookings. I reminded him that the offer email did not mention such a restriction (it is required by Finnish law to mention any possible restrictions right next to any advertisement) and that for my later booking, the cancellation period was still valid. He called the hotel manager, who also refused to respect the offer. So in the end I had to pay full price. I felt cheated out of 124 euros and also offended by the rude manner the issue was dealt with, which left a sour feeling for my whole stay. A few days later, I received the same offer for my second booking with still no mention of restrictions about new bookings!

What an awesome mountain biking trip to Iso-syöte!”

Super friendly staff! <3 My special request was fulfilled without a hesitation. Great facilities! Breakfast was good and plentiful. Possibility to eat at the terrace was really nice.
Can't complain about anything -- my stay was really great!

Perfect stay for a couple of days of skiing”

All was amazing! We had a view towards the slopes, but we didn't mind that one bit! Your pet is welcome there, even at the restaurant. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and tried to help us with every need we had, even arranged a taxi shuttle from there to Ruka! The hotel's locations was perfect, because right in front of it you have a supermarket with most important things you might need. The restaurants around were also great, the hotel restaurant was italian style, but unfortunately we didn't try it, but food looked great. We liked that we had a small kitchen in the room, with everything you might need! Also drying cabinet! No need to have a car, we got there by bus from Oulu!
They could've changed up the breakfast a little bit more, it was good and simple, but the same every day. We loved the croissants, but unfortunately only got them once. Despite that, there was nothing else we didn't like.

Just amazing!”

Everything was amazing. Check-in was easy with the kiosk, the room was very clean, had a nice view, the kitchen had everything needed, breakfast was great, bike storage was good, our stay was simply very good and we are definitely returning to Kide soon. Especially if you want to socially distance these days it is a great place to stay.
We tried the mobile key but it didn't work. It is good that there is the check-in kiosk though.

I was looking forward to eggs and bacon before a day riding but sadly neither.
We tried twice to get food but both times kitchen was closed. Seems that they expect everone to take pack-up.
