A night on the family farm”
Beautiful, beautiful place with very accommodating family. The all-day/next-morning guided tour (that can be purchased for an additional $75) was top-notch and well worth it. Food was farm-fresh, plentiful and cooked with care. The only thing that could have been better was the bedding. Overall, may have been the highlight of our whole vacation!

Worth every penny”
It's good to know that upon booking this homestay, you get a 2days-1night tour of the region, starting in Can Tho. Where to start? Our guide, Chau (pronounced Joe), pick us up at the hotel at 7:30, from where we walked approx. 5 minutes to a private and really nice boat waiting for us at the pier. We started with the Cai Rang floating market where we wander around and could buy the best pineapple I ever had. We then continued our boat ride for 2 hours throught the canals to get to the homestay. At this point, it only gets better: the rooms are almost new, tidy, very nicely decorated and cozy. We took a rest in the hammocks next to our room before having the best lunch I had in 4 weeks in Vietnam. Generous and delicious family cooked food, plus you get to eat with Chau, who taught us a whole lot of stuff about how to cook, traditions, etc. Quick rest, then back on a boat (smaller) to go net fishing in the canals, before heading to a rice field where farmers were cutting the rice. Back to the homestay, we flew kites in the ricefields nearby. Much fun! And by the time you get hungry again, an another amazing meal is served for dinner. The day after, on the morning, we went for a bicycle ride around the villages and the rice fields, where children we're cycling with us during their school break! Everything was just perfect! Really! Absolutly a must! And Chau, our guide, was a big part of the succes! Thanks again!

Real Vietnamese life”
We don't normally do tours but decided to do this one as it was Christmas and so glad we did. Chau, pronounced Jo, was the best guide he made sure we had everything we could want or need. He took us fishing, on a boat trip, cycling and also to a noodle factory and the floating market. We had an impromptu visit to a local primary school whilst out on the bikes which was such a lovely experience, we also sang and ate with some local villagers who invited us to join them as we passed by. We visited a local market to buy our food for the evening meal which would not have been so successful on our own. We are vegetarian and had the most delicious inventive meals cooked for us, 3 times a day. We also helped cook the evening meals which was great fun and a good learning experience. Chau was funny, very knowledgable and the best we could have hoped for. We highly recommend staying here. The only criticism would be the bed as it was rock hard, Chau explained that farmers usually sleep on wood so they considered the bed quite soft. This trip gave us a really good insight into typical Vietnamese life.

O 7 rano umówiliśmy się w hotelu Kim Lan w Can Tho, skąd pojechaliśmy do portu. Później łodzią udaliśmy się w podróż powrotną do Can Tho.
