Exceptional”
This lodge isn't for everyone as there is nothing to do except enjoying the beautiful fauna and flora on the deck of the beautiful wooden house. The accomodations are super basic and they only serve vegetarian food but I think that you may use there kitchen/bbq if you want to cook yourself. Accomodations are basic and there is no WIFI and bad cell phone reception. The park entrance is approx 2km/30min walk and some fitness is required if you have to carry your luggage from the main road to the accomodation, it is approx 1km on a hilly road. They can also arrange transport to the park if necessary (20myr) People who love it quite and natural will love it here!

Clean and serene”
Stayed here for two nights in early May 2018 after hiking the summit trail. Will definitely stay here again if/when I return. Clean, peaceful and, being at the end of a ~1km long side ride up a small valley, with an incredible amount of local bird and insect life to be entranced by. Very friendly and helpful ladies run the place, and speak both Bahasa and English. The lodge is a nice, simple wooden structure with hardwood floors throughout, and kept very clean. Rooms simple, clean. I had a "Japanese room" with mattresses directly on the wood floor. Wall socket for charging devices. Being highland Borneo, I was surprised by the hot water in the showers. Electricity is available from ~4pm all night until mid-morning (was still on both mornings when I left at 8am). No internet. Bonus for biology lovers: the bewildering diversity of Kinabalu's moths seem to be encouraged to hang out in the long bathroom and shower block, as the windows are left open and lights on during the night.

Disapponted with the surrounding”
I have been here last few years..the view for last time I went is superb amazing and beautiful..feels like I want to take picture all place all corner and even in the road to this lodge bcause of the cleanliness of the surrounding thats why I decide to go again.. When we arrive..I feel dissapointed with the surrounding..bushes all around the lodge..no one maintain the outside area..our plan on 1st night is doing bbq..luckily no snakes show up 😅 And also please add a rock/stone or whatever on the road so its easy for car to go up and down to this lodge Staff very helpful and inside lodge cleanliness is maintain as before..we feel like home staying here except for the outside area 😏...maybe will be back again.. We love this place so please maintain the outside cleanliness..cut all the grass and clear all the bushes.. Thanks to the KML staff for the good treatment!! see you again next time

Nice Forest experience but way too far from everything and no internet”
You'll have some quiet time over there and it's nice to just see the view over the forest while listening to the noises. But the stuff is not pretty active, the road there is bad and you won't have internet connection on your phone and no wifi. Definitely try the porridge there!

It's a little further inside with a steep slope up to the property. Some car services (like the bus & van especially) may not drive you in so you'd have to walk all the way up. It'll be a bit of a hike.

A place with a spectacular view. Very secluded and peaceful place. A bunch of friendly staff. Definitely a yes if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing time away from the buzz of the city.

Good”
The price is cheap but the room is really small. You can listen to the foot steps of other people walking around the house. However, the staff are friendly and nice. They allow us to cook (we brought our own utensils and cooking equipment) and we had fun barbecuing. I might will consider coming back one day but not during the high season, maybe during their low season when there are lesser people. So that we can utilize the veranda for barbecuing and cooking! HAHA!
