New area to explore”
Very good room price considering the important area. next to the Eastin hotel, Chef man restaurant, Bang Rak jewelry area and close to the river. free ferry to brand new Iconsiam mall on other side of the river.
Greate Location and resonable price”
room are big and the location is great. Feel very good for the value for money we paid.
Get what I pay for”
Hotel is next to BTS station. Great location. Hotel is dated but clean. Hot water system is not working too good. Staff speak very little English. Front desk staff remember that I am a returning guest but did not welcome me back. Restaurant staff is very bad. They clean utensila with just water. It is not healthy at all.
Horrible experience all around!”
Dodgy entrance, clueless staff, run down room and bathroom, , TV with 6-8 poorly visible channels, no telephone in the room to call a non existent room service (asked for phone to be installed and instead they added a bed lamp...), basically non existent internet connection (on/off every 5 minutes). All in all a very deceiving online description far from reality. I would not stay there again and I would recommend to stay away! Agoda should send inspecting teams to check the conditions of the facilities they advertise to minimize the discrepancies between what is being shown online and reality.
Clean and Close to BTS”
The King Royal Garden Inn is a great value for money. While it isn't the nicest place to stay, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The location, however, is excellent. The BTS station is located directly outside the hotel. Even with it's close proximity, I did not hear loud noises from my room. They had a tasty breakfast in the morning with typical hotel breakfast foods, and made-to-order eggs. I would stay here again if I was looking for a clean place next to the BTS.
As we have been here for couple of days with an intent to roam around and do a bit of shopping, the hotel provided right amount of comfort we required. Aesthetic is okay, rooms were comfortable for the price. Must understand it’s an old hotel that is visible through the structure. But must admit, it is just right for the people who want to just lay off at the hotel for some time and enjoy Bangkok. Thanks Agoda for provision of such accommodation. Made our trip.
budget hotel with pool next to Surasak BTS station”
good price, great location for travelling around Bangkok on BTS. Small pool is good to have a dip with the kids. 2 let downs though, the internet was rubbish unless you go to the lobby and the TV didn't have many stations that actually worked. I would still comeback though because of the price and location.
Perfect location at Surasak BTS”
The lowest price for any hotel in this area. Only minus points: They still didnt get rid completely of their cockroach problem. Expect a few very small ones in your room. Staff are friendly And you can choose room incl. ABF or buy some food in front of the hotel
Don't book it! ”
Worst place I ever stayed at. And I've been staying at a lot of crapy hotels. Bugs and roaches everywhere. You here them crawl all night. A scary experience. My 11- month daughter tried to chase them to put in her mouth. The receptionist is uninterested in helping out with anything. The pool area is not a safe place. The wooden floor is rotten and has big holes everywhere, not a place for anybody and especially not infants or children. The location is ok, just outside the skytrain. But otherwise nothing more. So if you plan is to never spend any time at the hotel and just use the skytrain, this is the hotel for you! I wouldn't stay here again even if they offered me free night. I think that says it all...
Been there for years. Every year it's getting more expensive and more run-down. This time they even closed the Swimmingpool and the girl at the front desk told me, they're not gonna open it again. But still they advertise the rooftop Swimmingpool.
Front desk day shift nice and smilly but at night shift no friendly and the voice it like her on bad mood and the room dirty remote tv no battery safe box can not used and the stuff do not take off shoes walk in to the grest room
Room is cleaned everyday and changed towel for you. It is just a step to BTS SURASAK where is easy for you to go to everywhere in Bangkok easier than take taxi as sometimes difficult to explain direction and also traffic is also a challenges
in front of BTS train”
there is just in front of BTS, so very good location. have family mart store grand floor. around the hotel have many break fast and lunch shop.(thai food only)
I’ve read a few negative reviews, and cannot believe how picky some people are. Ok, the hotel is old, but it’s CLEAN. Rooms are huge, beds are huge. (And clean.) All the reception staff speak quite good English and I’ve found them to be polite and helpful. But like many people, they probably don’t respond well to anger and aggression. I’ve never had a problem with the wifi. The pool deck has a number of loose boards, but for anyone to claim they were worried about falling through has led a very protected life and should not be travelling. Breakfast is basic but freshly cooked and cheerfully served. (And free!) If you don’t like the eggs, what’s wrong with toast and fresh fruit? The kitchen has a tip box, and they respond very well to even modest tips. Every now and then I might see a small cockroach, but NEVER ants or bedbugs. Someone complained the TV has no English channels. In fact there are four. Three 24/7 news channels, one 24/7 movie channel, all in English.
The perfect hotel”
booked 1 day first after reading all the bad reviews. But many negative comments turned out to be fake. No cockroaches or ants. clean big rooms. the breakfast included in our room was good for this price category. toast jam cornflakes noodles ricesoup fruits and abf provided! hairdryer safe fridge in the room. The swimmingpool was clean. the chairs were not broken. the wooden flooring needs repairs but is safe. the gym is outdated. Next to surasak bts!
Its a budget hotel”
No hot water for a shower, all staff very good except for one at the front desk , who wanted us to not park onsite, as we were one hour early for checking in. Otherwise good location, good for a short stop
Value for money”
when im in Bangkok i always stay a few days at this hotel, and its always good. for the Money you pay its definetly value for money. big spacious room and clean. swimmingpool and gym is good location is the best, when you step outside hotel its only 10 meters to BTS. close to expressway for Airport, takes around 40 minute.
Worth the money”
Overall this is quite a nice hotel, with a gorgeous view at rooftop , with swimming pool & jacuzzi is my favourite spot to hang out especially under this stuffy &scorching sun in Bangkok. Breakfast is just lovely with freshly prepared egg, with ham+ sausage, basic but it has it all. Location can't complain much, it's just right in the central with every tourist spot is just a walking distance apart. Will come back again!!
Right next to BTS, big room, a bit old”
Good hotel with great location, and even though the room is quite old, the air conditioner is the new one. Hotel's breakfast lacks in food variety but there's mini-mart right in front for you to grab some extra food with ease. Overall, it suits the price tag.
Good hotel with a great location”
The hotel is located in front of the BTS station Surasak (S5). Therefore, it is perfect if you want to explore Bangkok. Around the hotel you can find good local food for a fair price. On the roof of the hotel will find a nice swimming pool (very nice at the evening) and a gym. The only negative things are: 1.) The staff is sometimes a little bit impolite (maybe rude). 2) Some rooms are not clean and fill of bugs. In that case ask for a different room and you normally get a free upgrade for a better (clean) room.
