Awesome place with lovely owners -and a lovely cat”
My thai wife and I (german) enjoyed ten lovely days at Sabai Resort Pak Meng in December 2014. We chose this place in the south of Thailand, as we wanted to spend a quiet time in a not so touristic spot. The resort´s evaluations from different people all over the world were splendid, so we gave it a try. The owners are thai-italian and they worked hard to make our stay memorable. Sabai Resort is away from any traffic in a huge rubber tree plantation and a ten minutes by scooter from the Pak Meng Beach or Si Kao village. The premises are new and everything is well maintained. Cleanliness of the bungalows is outstanding, as the owners take personal care of everything. Noi & Alberto are a wonderful couple and they were working hard to make our stay unforgettable. Helpful in every way, we enjoyed their food, eagerness to provide good food (daily fresh from the market), a hike by car when needed and any information or service (i.e. scooter rental, tour info, island tours etc.). We have met Princess, the world´s sweetest cat. She´s the star of the resort and she´s been always good to jump on our laps for a three hours petting. Unfortunately Alberto did not want to exchange his kitten to my Ipod. So he will probably miss my music from my Ipod as much as we miss Princess, the true Sabai Resort superstar, lol. If you are longing for a quiet and relaxed time with good food, both thai and italian kitchen, as well as good entertainment from the owners, nice day trips to islands such as Koh Mook or Koh Kradan, then you should consider going to Trang. This resort has been such a good experience, so we can only recommend it. And if Alberto will build a pool for next year, then I´ll promise to help him to mow the lawn. Quaint and tranquil”
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place! I stayed for 4 nights and didn’t want to leave! My bungalow was clean and western. The pool was relaxing and cool on a hot day! The garden... oh the garden! The owners Aiberto and Noi take pride in their plants, and it shows. A stroll around the property is very relaxing! It’s only a short 10 min tuk-tuk ride to the beach. If you want to venture a little further south along the coast, you can fine pristine untouched beaches with no one around! Even the main Pak Meng beach is practically empty, with no tourists! If you’re on the fence, let me seal the deal with the food! OMG! Noi and Aiberto have fused Thai and Italian food together to make dishes that melt in your mouth! Seriously! We ate like kings and queens. I cant wait to come back!

The proud owners of the "KINGFISHER RETREAT" are able to offer their guests a wonderful stay at their retreat whether it be for business or leisure. The rooms are immaculately clean and equipped with shower TV internet with nice fixtures and fittings, and surrounded in a most picturesque gardens with colorful plants, flowers and shrubs. It has a swimming pool jacuzzi and steam room. It is located within easy reach to the city centre and for the ferry boats to the surrounding Islands and excursions. There is a restaurant in which the owners provide a very warm welcome and the chance to taste the delicious cuisine on offer from the menu of various western and Asian dishes. If you are on holiday or business then this is the place to relax and enjoy the peace and quietness of a paradise in heaven, full credit to the owners.

We had a great stay at Sabai Pak Meng. It is a small hotel with 13-15 rooms and facilities like warm tub & Steambath opened nearly a year ago. Owners of the place are very warm & helpful.. We were a group of 6 families with young children, which first the owners & staff got scared of as this was first time they saw such a large group with many children. Owners helped us with local trip, places to visit (excellent suggestions) and best place to eat around. Morning breakfast was well served cooked by owners themselves which most of us like the most. Definitely a place to return....Thanks Sabai Pak meng to make this trip memorable!!!

Fantastic”
Beautiful resort, 10 minutes from the beach. Nestled in the middle of rubber and palm plantations. Beautiful garden, nice pool area. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly and provided us with extra bedding for a young child which was very kind of them. Authentic Italian food was very tasty, and we enjoyed chatting with the owners. Best place to stay in Pak Meng. Highly recommended!

We can absolutely confirm all the positive things that have been written already. The stand-alone-bungalows are a little small but are new, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The beautiful area is quite far away from everything but the owners try to give transportation if needed. Rent a motobike in Pak Meng but there's only one shop with 2 bikes. One of the best experiences in my 4-week-trip throughout southern Thailand.

Peaceful Paradise Heaven ”
Stayed 1 night and felt really peaceful and heavenly blessed for my soul , body and mind. Lots of greeneries and nature surrounding this beautiful place. The air is fresh without pollution and no traffic noise. Basically just me and nature. In the morning I really impressed by the glorious sounds of birds singing in the garden with the excellent countryside vibes. My room is very authentically cleaned and no dust with a comfy bed and pillows. The aircon works well. The condition of the room and toilet are well maintained to good standard. I felt truly at home in the room. Further Kingfisher offers a lovely swimming pool, steam room with a massive garden. I walked inside the garden with a wonderful ambient. Great place for meditation and yoga. Also very relaxing and cozy. Food was delicious with authentically Italian style. The owner is Thai and Italian. Noi and Alberto are very friendly and nice people. Good chatted with them. Strongly recommended and will come back again. Thanks

Hidden Paradise”
Our stay was everything and much, much more than we imagined - not only is it a secret oasis with superb hosts, the quality of food was also outstanding and we were very reluctant to leave. Anyone visiting pak meng should definitely seek out Sabai resort for a truly wonderful experience. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!!

Truly Great People in Trang”
Sabai Resort is a fantastic place to stay in Trang. It's located in a beautiful plantation that feels worlds away from the typical chaos in Thailand. The rooms are nicely furnished, clean and have air conditioning. However, the real reason to stay here are the incredible hosts of the resort, Alberto and Noi. They treat you like friends from day one and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. They were happy to drive us to the beach and a nearby convenience store when we needed supplies. They're also great conversationalists, so do yourself a favor and plan to spend some time with them at dinner! We genuinely enjoyed our time at Sabai Resort in Trang and recommend them to everyone!

After reading so excellent reviews we were curious to see if the reputation was deserved. Absolutely, this resort deserves its excellent reputation. Not only for cleaning, dare I say almost manic, in the rooms and throughout the resort, not only for the excellent Thai and Western cuisine, not only for the beauty of the garden, not only for the peace and tranquility, not only for the contagious sympathy and availability of the owners, things already spoken, but also for the good taste and the refined atmosphere that reigns. All this at a really ridiculous price. All excellent ! We will return.

Sabai is fantastic!”
We were a family of 5 and were looking for a place not crawling with tourists but close to a nice beach/island area. We could not have found a more perfect spot. The owners Nawinda and Alberto welcomed us to their resort and made us instantly feel like part of their family. The food was DELICIOUS (the green curry was my favorite!), the rooms were immaculate and equipped with nice modern furniture, and the setting was peaceful and photogenic. It's not fancy, but it is wonderful. The best part was that the experience was authentic. Hotels and luxury resorts may offer good service, but a place like this allows you to actually get to know some locals, learn about their lives, find out what it is really like to live there, and exchange stories. This to me is what makes travel so special. Not some packaged version sold to the crowds, but rather a glimpse into life on the other side of the world and the lives of the people living there. I am grateful for finding this spot, and to Nawinda and Alberto (and their cat Princess) for making us feel like friends. Please visit and you will find the same.

A peaceful night for counting shooting stars”
Didn't spend much time at the resort as we have packed schedules. The resort was in the middle of nowhere but we found it positive when we expected the local scenery and we did rented the motorcycle to get there. The night was perfectly peaceful as we spent it counting shooting stars at the back of our remotely assigned room after our dinner. There was not much to do at the resort anyways but the owners were greatly friendly and supportive. The room has everything we need and the large cabinets for long stays. The only negative thing we felt is the lady owner requested us not to review their resort if we felt negative about the place, especially the part that she mentioned that we are Thai and Thai don't like this kind of place. I am Thai, I did like the place. I felt that it is irrational for the people to tell you what to do and everyone has the right to know the truth for their decision makings. When they visit the resort, they have the right to know what will come and whether their expectation could be met.

Fantastic experience !”
The full of conforts rooms are extremely clean and the new furnitures are refine and luxury. The food, Western and Thai, is of very high level. The bar is well provided for the most famous cocktails. It's a cozy and very quiet resort in the middle of the nature where is possible to relax and to sleep very well. A big hot tub and a steambath help to restore the body after long trips. A friendly atmosphere with a nice Thai Lady owner. A 5 stras hotel with a so cheap price ! I reccomend to evryone.

Incredibly cheap for what you have”
After noising and crowded places we stayed in this resort in the middle of the nature, surrounded by beautiful plants and trees with the sound of many different kind of birds singing. A quiet Paradise where we were able to relax enjoying the excellent Thai and Western food of the restaurant and the fantastic cocktails of Noi. Rooms so clean as we have never seen in Thailand. They gave us many suggestions to know better the area and we appreciated. They were very helpful with us. In short I suggest to everyone : it's a classy and charming resort with ridiculous cheap prices for the room and for the food. Highly recommended !!!

Perfect hosts, perfect surroundings - Go there!”
We had planned one night at Sabai Resort but enjoyed the location and the company of Noi and Alberto so much that we stayed an extra night. The surroundings are perfect if you just wish to relax and ”get away from it all”. Food is perfect cooked (Thai or Italian) – Try the Spaghetti Cabonara ;) Rooms are very nice, well equipped, great beds and very clean. Sabai Resort gets our very best recommandations for their positive, funny and friendly attitude. BTW: If you think it is too far from the beach don’t worry. The will take you there and pick you up again :)

A very happy return”
Back after a couple of years I found some good news as a nice pool, the room for massage and yoga, the scooters to rent and the same relaxing atmosphere. Thai and Western cuisine are still excellent and the cleanliness of the rooms is always exceptional and unusual in Thailand. This is very important for an old German guy like me who cares a lot about cleanliness and who is often disappointed in other hotels. The sweetness, the kindness, the help and the friendliness of the Thai lady owner are the extra touch that makes this resort truly unique. Highly recomended !!!

Wonderful Stay at Sabai Resort”
Firstly we can not thank Noi and Alberto enough for such a wonderful time, our Son Dylan was sad to leave as were my Wife and I. Set in a rubber plantation the Sabai Resort is the perfect place to get away from everything, taking you back to nature. Very easy to find and lovely rooms. Noi and her Husband Alberto could not do enough and made us very welcome and we enjoyed their company in the evening over a glass of red wine. If you get a chance visit the Waterfalls, Alberto will advice you of the best one’s to see. We have travelled all over Thailand during the past 15 years and have not stayed in a more pleasant place. We plan to visit again during out next trip to Thailand. If you are in the area stay here, in our opinion it is worthy of it’s rating here on agoda, 5 star.
