A good option”
Not cheap, but nothing in the area is. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and well enough equipped for my 2 night stay, everything worked well. It felt safe. I would stay again. A coffee machine in the room would be a nice touch, although there are plenty of good coffee shops nearby.

Terrible booking experience ”
Had a very disappointing experience booking at this Kingsland Locke. Despite perfectly justified reasons, they took advantage so that they can profit from customer misfortunes. Very sad indeed.

Misses the mark ”
Booked there after reading the reviews and was disappointed. Enough space in the apartment but the features and facilities are poorly designed . Window can't be opened, so no fresh air. Bed was large, but too soft and too low Hard to get in and out off. Not enough hanging space for clothes. Toilet and hand basin awkward. Difficult location to reach if arriving in London at Gatwick or Heathrow and not real easy to see the sights of London .

Hey Brendan, Firstly, thank you for leaving us your feedback. It pains us to read that we did not meet all your expectations and several of these we could have solved. Concerning our shut windows, this is for sustainability reasons, though in the hustle and bustle of London, sometimes it's better than all that noise stays out. Nevertheless, be reassured that even when the climate control isn't on, fresh and even filtered air is flowing through the apartment 24/7. Our beds are on the lower side, inspired by Japanese designs. Though many believe that our bed is like sleeping on a cloud, it is possible to make them a little stiffer by removing the topper on request. Kingsland is uniquely in East London. If you are interested in the central sights, we have several other Lockes perfect for this. If you want to experience some of 'real' London, then Kingsland is your bet. You can't open the windows!”
Whilst the room is well equipped and having a kitchenette is a big bonus, there needs to be an option to allow for ventilation. Staff are superb, security good and excellent location if you want to see the real East London albeit slighty gentrified.

I made a good decision to stay at the Kingsland Locke for 28 days in total. The location was fantastic and walking proximity to 2 overground stations. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel. Staff were lovely. The design of the room was just so edgy and comfy I almost didn’t want to leave! 10/10 will return

Stayed in a City Studio for the weekend, which was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Nicely decorated, easy to maintain during the stay. We stayed in room 123, facing away from the main road which was perfect as it was silent during the day and night! Can’t wait to book again

Für das, was es ist zu teuer. Wurde in nächster Nähe von Shoreditch angepriesen, Dalston ist jedoch eine ganze Ecke weiter weg … von allem. Schön eingerichtet, wirkt auf den Fotos erheblich geräumiger. Souterrain mit einem Fenster, das man nicht öffnen kann. Voll ausgestattete Küche, aber wenig Stauraum für Kleidung. Keine Zimmerreinigung bei kurzen Aufenthalten. Ein Haken neben der Dusche für das Handtuch wäre toll gewesen. Im Bad beim Waschbecken kann man kaum etwas ablegen. Mega hellhörig. Design ist was tolles, aber die Rahmenbedingungen sollten auch passen. Für kurze Citytrips weniger geeignet.
