"It's perfectly located close to the airport and walking distance to big Buddha pier to head across to Koh phangan."

It's a perfect location if you need to catch a ferry from Big Buddha pier and a short motorbike away from Fishermans Village.

A beachfront location puts you just steps from the powdery white sand and clear blue water. Located on the northern part of the island, this resort is on the quieter Bophut Beach. Just a few hundred meters away is the pier to catch boats to the nearby islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, renowned for their excellent dive sites. Nearby attractions on land include the Big Buddha and Fisherman's Village. Kinnaree Resort includes a tour desk on-site to organize a complete holiday experience or if you wish to explore the island on your own, the car and bike rental service will come in handy. An excellent price tag complete with all the amenities make Kinnaree Resort an attractive option in this part of Samui.
"Great food and the staff are gorgeous."

Right by the beach ;)”
The place is nicely set up. nothing fancy but the beach is all you would need to make this place a perfect getaway, and it is just 10 metres away from our room. Kids love this place. Nice staff and hospitality.
Great Overnight Location”
This was a great overnight location, close the the airport and pier. We have stayed here a couple of times now. Not 5 star luxury, but perfect for what we were after. Good restaurant with great staff in the front and the beach is right there if you want to get out and about.
its was a wonderful stay at here.... Perfect staff with good hospitality. Definitely recommended... if have included breakfast, then i will give 5 stars facilities...thanks Stevenn and his bro!!
not good value for money”
beach is not the best in Samui. have rocks in the sea, so cant swim. have electricty breakdowns every 2 days. shower has little water. tv is sometimes not working and thai food at restaurant is more expensive and less good than outside in small shop... overall, dissapointing for the price to pay to be near the beach...
Simple but clean place, right by a quiet beach. You literally step out of your room and onto the beach. Super sweet and helpful staff! Complete value for money. Location is in a quieter part of Samui, so getting to the more happening parts may take some time, but the staff helps you with scooter rentals for 200 Baht per day
Affordable & Convenient ”
We were not expecting much as we just needed somewhere to stay before our early ferry and Kinnaree was a pleasant surprise. It's a perfect location if you need to catch a ferry from Big Buddha pier and a short motorbike away from Fishermans Village. There were several good restaurants within walking distance and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom is somewhat cramped considering you can't really open the door if someone is showering, but we didn't mind it for such a low cost. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here and would recommend this place for somewhere affordable and convenient!
Great stay. Beautiful staff”
I loved it here. It's perfectly located close to the airport and walking distance to big Buddha pier to head across to Koh phangan. Great food and the staff are gorgeous. I wanted to hug the girl who checked me in. She was so sweet. Definitely recommend. (The hotel, not the hug.....) thanks for a great stay
Very, very good quality/price stay at Kinnaree. Staff and service are kind and helpful; even though basic, chalet-rooms are spotless, large (so are the bathrooms) and enjoy a small patio. The hotel is right on the beach with view of the Big Buddha. It's located by the street, though close to stores and restaurants in between the fishermen's village and the market. Kinnaree restaurant is also good. I had tom yum koong and green curry with prawns, both very yummie and spicy. Scooter rental was arranged at reception in no time. Taxis station is right in front of the hotel. Small minuses: the chalets face one another, so reduced privacy on the patio; at night, the outside lights filter a bit through the room despite the curtains. However, these are small minuses overall. If you are looking for a quiet place which is not a 5 star resort or a boutique hotel, Kinnaree is a very good and convenient option in Bophut! Enjoy your stay!
Relaxing stay on Samui”
I stayed here with my mom for 11 nights and it was wonderful! We were right next to the beach (in an area that was safe for swimming), you could see the Big Buddha and watch ferries taking off from Bangrak pier from the steps to the beach. It's a little out of the way compared to more developed parts of the island so you'll have to take a songthaew or the like if you want to do much shopping or get bored of your walking-distance food options, but we were pretty happy with the nearby restaurants/pharmacies/convenience stores. The staff were just as friendly and helpful as everyone else says -- even though the king sadly passed away during our stay, they did their best to keep up cheerful faces with the guests. AC and wifi were both excellent, and though it's fairly close to the airport, we never experienced any excessive plane noise (our few incidents of excessive noise came from other guests!) Altogether a great resort.
Super friendly staff, good sized room and bathroom, cleaned every day and the best banana pancakes ever. Would have liked a kettle in the room but hey ho. Absolutely best bit? Having the sea at your doorstep. Bliss.
Good value for a one-night stay”
My stay was very brief - off at Koh Samui on the last ferry from Koh Phangan and up for the first plane out. So all I needed is something reasonably comfortable and cheap - which is exactly what Kinnaree was! So I am completely satisfied with my experience. The staff were sweet but they were "staff" as opposed to owners as has been my experience in all other resorts in Thailand, so English is not awesome and while very sweet, not super helpful. The room was a 2-star room, nothing fancy and nothing bad. I was put in the room closest to the restaurant, which is not great especially if there are people in the restaurant as you will hear all the noise. The guys in the room next to mine sat outside and talked until about 10pm and then I could hear their TV, but it didn't bother me hugely as it was quiet by the time I was ready for bed. So I would just suggest - avoid a room close to the lobby/restaurant. The staff ordered a taxi for me to get to the airport the next morning. I was also trying to catch up for dinner with a friend 10 minutes down the road and the staff told me it was going to be a 300-400 BHT ride which is a bit ridiculous (completely not a negative on the hotel but on the private taxi prices in Koh Samui). I found a motorbike taxi within 3 minutes walking down the road, so it was all good.
Two days stay And did return?”
It was so good we returned four days later for another couple of nights. Very pleased with hotel. Staff and manager were great. Down side is its on what is now a very busy road but it's is one of two roads round the island. We enjoyed our stay and did go back so that says a lot.
Excellent location, friendly staff and great food”
I had a great time staying at Kinnaree. The staff do an excellent job, always being friendly and courteous, helping to book tours and give information about things to do and see, and always cleaning the room to a great standard. The food in the restaurant (at the reception area) was fresh and very tasty. They have a good variety of dishes too. The hotel is in a quiet area about mid-way between the Big Buddha and the Fisherman's Village, both of which are interesting to walk to. Nearby are a Lebanese restaurant, heaps of small Thai places, some bars, massage places, a few convenience stores and banks. Best of all, it's right next to a peaceful beach. I'd happily stay here again.
We had a very relaxing 3 days. Perfect location on the beach. The area has lots of bars and restaurants however they were all very very quiet. So if ur looking for a busy nightlife this area won't be for you. The hotel staff were really friendly and helped us arrange our onward travel. Always had a smile on their face and always available to help
Great for a layover (airpor & ferry)”
From airport on minibus, it is only 100 B. Room was fine, except for the usual bathroom/shower combo. A good feature was the inroom safe. I ate my meals there and they were fine. Within a few minutes walk, are restaurants and a few bars. There is also a convenience store close by.
a budget hotel in need of a good renovation”
Although the price was right, the hotel is in need of a few basic upgrades. For one, the water pressure in my shower was so low, it couldn't even activate the hot water machine and wouldn't be enough to wash yourself if only doing your hair or having a shave. Secondly the WiFi was so weak it was only barely possible to read/send a couple basic emails--forget about loading pictures or updating FB. Lastly, the furniture/TV was old and worn. While I go to a budget hotel not for the luxury basic water is a must. The hotel is in the busy beach on the north coast above the airport. If you want to visit other parts of the island you must have transportation. There are a few new restaurants in the area and Fisherman's Village is excellent. The beach is small as the hotel is not wide, but it is enough to have a lounge chair or towel--chairs are limited. The hotel attracts many Euro and NA travelers as well as even some Thais. All were pleasant. Overall, I'd stay at the Fisherman's Village on in Lamai to avoid the crowds but be close enough to the action.
Right by the beach in a beautiful bay”
the resort was at a great location with a beautiful beach. the rooms were alright but the bathroom was a bit small with just a showerhead in the acafes, the markets at fishermens village etc. than its a great place! felt a bit sorry for the fish in the tiny aquarium by the restaurant!
Small resort close to the beach”
the staff is very friendly and accomodating. the price is very reasonable, and i have stayed here several times before.the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable and close to the beach. the restaurant has very good thai food even if it is a little pricey. i will stay here again when visiting koh samui.
Nice place to stay”
We stayed at this hotel due to its close location to the airport as we had an early morning flight. The staff were friendly and very helpful when it came to telling us about the local area. They were also able to organise transport to the airport for us so we had no hassles early in the morning. The room was a good size and very clean. Overall a great place to stay that is good value for money.
Good value for money”
in the middle of the road through bo phut. 10 min away from airport. very good for a quick stop if you only have 1 night, before leaving for the islands as we did. came back when we returned 1 week later.
