During our recent stay, the resort is very nice with trees and a river running by it. The grounds has nice views with their long walking paths. We enjoyed the pool and the free breakfast was also nice. However, there were several problems that made the stay frustrating. The electricity was unreliable, frequently cutting in and out throught the night. The water pressure in the room was very low. The cabinets in our room were placed so high that we had to stand on the bed to reach them. The resort advertise free wifi, but the wifi signal did not reach our room. We were also not able to get 4G service inside the room so we were without interent service throughout our stay. The power outlets in the room were controlled by a light switch, so the outlets only worked when the room light was on. This strange setup made it difficult to charge our devices overnight without leaving the lights on. There was a light inside the room that we were not able to turn off even after switching everything off. We did enjoy the resort when we were outside of the room.
I imagine that before COVID, this place was a screaming hot spot. A place that families could bring their kids, or groups of friends could come and enjoy the multitude of activities available among the trees and pathways. The property is massive, has various kinds of cabin-like rooms that are lovely (we had one right on the river with a large deck nearby a semi-provate swimming pool), and includes what looks like a sort of amusement, or dinosaur park across the river. The parts of the property that remain active are enjoyable, very clean (not a cobweb in the public facilities roof—a rarity in Cambodia), and the staff was extremely helpful. There is a fair amount of the property that isn't in use that we wandered through, and, while it's generally maintained, it has a kind of eerie feeling to it. All in all, it was a nice place to stay to get away from it all, but I think I would wait until high-season when it's busier to go again.
I was spend my holiday at this place 1day with joyfull, green nature,peachfull..when i check out i missed my wallet on the bed and i did not know at all ..after i reached my home the resort staff called me and send my wallet by vireakbuntham bus to me,very thanksfull for ur kindyheart"but i also have some feedback to yours : room not too much clean (water leaking in toilet , refrigirator not working ,dust and some💩cockcroaches in cabenet ,wifi not working in the room less connection, at the restaurants there are some dogs come around to scare my child ,resort should be keep the pets at their place should not allow to walk free anywhere like that ,night time also has some insert like mosquito so we could not have enjoy dinner time at restaurants as well .hope to see nexttime with any improvment and best services ever .thank you
Ganska slitet men allt väsentligt fungerade i vårt hus. Pool ok. Bra mat i restaurangen. Mycket lugnt. Väldigt få gäster. De flesta väljer nog att övernatta uppe på berget. Det tar en halvtimme med bil att köra till tippen så vi kunde ändå njuta av den utsikten.

“Nice Secluded Resort, But Pricey for Location & Condition of Property”
Overall, enjoyed our stay at the resort. I feel bad about having to rate it so low because it is a really cool place, but I have to be honest and say that it is in need of maintenance and upgrading and it is not in the best location. It is a very large property with walking trails and with several different options for accommodations. There are also a couple of function halls which would make it a nice spot for a party or a company retreat. We booked a terrace room but were upgraded to a bungalow overlooking the lake. The property is VERY quiet: both because of the size of the property (it is on a large piece of land surrounded by trees and quite spread out) but also because there were so few people staying at the resort (I think there were only two or three other couples and there are something like 40+ rooms/bungalows in total). As I see it, there are two major reasons why there are so few people here: first, it is at the BASE of Kirirom Mountain (you have to drive about 30 mins by moto up the mountain to the actual park) and second, it is quite expensive compared with the other small resorts on the top of the mountain. Honestly, I would not book anything other than a terrace room because I do not think the bungalows (or any of the other higher priced room options.) are worth the extra money. You may be upgraded anyways, like we were. I would have actually been disappointed if I had paid the extra money. While the resort is nice and CLEAN and very secluded, it is tired and there is a lot of deferred maintenance (probably because there are so few guests booking here). There are actually a couple of wooden footbridges that are rotting and you could totally step on the wrong board and your foot would go through. It also appears that a huge section of the resort (which includes an amphitheater, a manmade cave, and a bizarre collection of giant dinosaur sculptures) is not being used. I am sure it was absolutely lovely in its heyday prior to Covid. But now it needs some work. Our booking came with breakfast which was served at the restaurant overlooking the pool; which was very nice and the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I feel somewhat badly having to rate the place so low because it really is a cool spot and everyone was so friendly. But the reality is that it needs a lot of work to bring it back up to par. I would only stay here again if the price were more reasonable, but if I visit Kirirom again I will try one of the smaller resorts actually on the mountain. There are a bunch of small bungalow resorts that do not show up on booking websites, but you can find them on Googlemaps...or just show up there in person (none of them were even close to being full). A note about Kirirom National Park itself: I do not think it is really worth the time and money to stay overnight if you are visiting Cambodia for a short time. You can easily visit in a day trip from Phnom Penh, as the expressway is quite efficient to get you there and back in one day - especially if you travel by car. We traveled by moto, so it would have made for a long day, but definitely still doable. If you want to experience the quiet and solitude of the pine forest at night, then by all means spend the night. It could also be an overnight "detour" stop on your way to Sihanoukville. Otherwise, do this as a day trip and save the extra money and time. There is not much to see and do there anyways. Finally, as a foreigner it would be difficult to navigate the park without someone who speaks/reads Khmer. The resorts and food options in the park clearly cater to locals, and much of the signage and menus are only in Khmer (same for a lot of the official park signage as well). It is cool going somewhere that clearly not many tourists visit, but I was with someone who speaks Khmer, so we were able to navigate easily. I would have struggled on my own.
