pretty angry
hot spring
Our stay was unpleasant. We arrived 1 hour before the check-in time. Despite we had climbed a very steep slope to the Inn and the hot weather, the hostess, without any facial expression, asked us to leave. In our bedroom, there was a empty beer can and a plastic trash bag underneath the patio. Also, the room's view was not nice.

disappointed
close to Oowakidani, the best attraction spot in Hakone.
the hotel was located in up hill and about 10 minutes from ropeway station. it was vey heavy to carry a suitcase to clime the hill. The rooms were old without proper renovation. Onsen was also looked like a very old one without good maintenance.

quiet and unique ryokan
big room, great service and peace of mind
staff was friendly and knowing us was non native speaker, try their best to explain the ryokan experience in english. the location could be hard to find if you are not sure of the area. do ask the gift shop next to the station if you are lost and they will help you. the food was excellent and we had it in private room for dinner and breakfast which was reserved for us in the main dinning area. although the ryokan is aged but it was a good way to experience japanese culture for first timer without burning a hole in the pocket.
