Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel

"It's expensive. But money is worth it. And for me the best pool in the whole area of high class hotels in KLCC. Another thing, customer service. This is my favourite staycation hotel to bring the family because of just that. And they remembered me, my wife. Even the restaurant JP Terrace also welcomes me with a smile and old banter like family. And I am no royalty ya, just a member of the normal public that gets pampered by them once and awhile when my allowances afford me these luxuries."

DeFace Platinum Kuala Lumpur

"The DeFace Suites has its own staff at the right hand side of the lobby and they are very friendly and helpful. I booked it very last minute and I call contact no. in Agoda, the staff answered promptly where I can find them for check it and also told me I can whatpps them. So the check in became v smooth. The suites is clean and no insects can be seen. The washing machine cum dryer is very convenient to family travelllers. Most amazing is washing detergent is provided! Great! The kitchen utensils are provided! The 2 bed room suites is good for us with 2 kids ! The bed in master bedroom is enough for me and my 2 kids to sleep together. My hubby can sleep in the other bed room. Very comfortable! The master toilet is huge with 🛁 and a 🚿 area. There are 2 basins the master toilet. The skypool is so eye catching and we took many lively photos there. I also appreciate the guard near the pool pays attention to the travellers, i.e like pushing up their body on the edge to prevent accident. The study area and gym at 51/F are also very nice to go. One thing just need to prepare is the lifts in the suites are very busy, you may need to spend some time in waiting for lift! 10 mins walking to KLCC and the mall, you can also take free Greenline GoKL bus to stay at Renaissance Hotel to walk there for 5 mins. On the whole, a very high rating suites with this price! Amazing!!!"

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

"The staff Michelle offered me a room with a great view, where we can see the KLCC Symphony Lake Water Show from 8pm to 10pm. She was friendly upon my check-in, though it was quite a queue (needed to wait in que for 30 mins). Perhaps the hotel want to open more check-in counter during peak hour to reduce waiting time. The location is great, just a walk away to Suria KLCC and other nearby attraction such as Saloma Bridge, Pelita restaurant, Aquaria and others. The housekeeping and other services are also friendly and had been meeting all our needs (my wife is breastfeeding, so you know the drill). Didn’t took the breakfast as we could get better meals outside. Didn’t get to enjoy the cool park though due to the unexpected weather. Suria KLCC is quite crowded with people over the weekend so better to stay away from these period. Overall, we’re satisfied with our weekend getaway here. "

Somerset Kuala Lumpur
KLCC,KLCC - View on map
"Somerset Ampang is one of the most amazing serviced apartments I have ever stayed in. I’ve stayed in a 1-bed apartment on the 21st floor (the higher the better). We checked in for 5 days & enjoyed the whole stay immensely. Even if compared with good hotels such as Traders Hotel in KLCC, I must say that Somerset Ampang is exceeding it by a mile. We will definitely be back! Pros: • Stunning interior design, very functional, colourful, with a well planned space (great attention has been given to all details). • All windows are really big (floor to ceiling), allowing you spectacular views on the KUL panorama & surrounding hills. • From the bath tube/shower you can enjoy the beautiful views too  • As a serviced apartment, it is fully equipped with all necessary amenities (washing machine, dryer, big fridge, freezer, ironing facility, pans/pots/cutlery, etc.) • Somerset has its own free shuttle bus going to KLCC, shopping malls, etc; you just have to register by the reception. • The housekeeping department is very swift & efficient. • Everyday a local newspaper is provided at your door. • On the top floor you can find a swimming pool, jacuzzi, small gym & sun tanning lounge (accessible to all Somerset guests). • In general, a great feeling of comfort can already be noticed in the reception area. Cons: • Breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant, which is not a part of the Somerset Ampang complex. To be honest, the restaurant is loud (as it is situated close to a busy street) & sometimes not very clean. The breakfast itself is very limited in choice, with some of the things prepared in a rather tasteless way. From my own experience & watching the neighbouring tables, I can say that the fresh baked croissants & different eggs were the savers, the rest should rather be forgotten. • Small thing: in busy times (Xmas, New Year’s Eve) the concierge/front desk may take 5-10min before they can help you out, but on the other hand: they will always take y"

Ascott Kuala Lumpur

"I visited with my father and my grandmother and we decided to stay in an apartment with 2 rooms. The photos displayed on their website accurately depicts what you get unlike some other hotel websites. The design of the apartment was done very well and you can definitely tell there's constant maintenance and renovations. The daily servicing of our apartment was done promptly and with great efficiency. The breakfast though is not the best but it also depends on your taste and where you're from. The location is in the centre of KLCC which is where the business district is. We didn't end up catching the public transport much so I can't comment on the accessibility for public transport. It is right next to the Petronas Twin Towers so you can easily visit that attraction. You can also visit the Aquaria very easily as well. There is also a Suria KLCC where you can do your shopping ranging from high end brands to normal everyday brands. However, you will find things more expensive here. You're better off taking a taxi or transport to other shopping malls where you can get better bargain. Overall, I thought my stay was amazing and I wish I stayed longer. The location is amazing and the apartment itself was amazing. I'd definitely recommend it if you're travelling with a family. I'd definitely stay here again."

"It was a last minute decision to book the hotel and found the location very convenient with LRT right outside and you can literally walk 10 minutes to KLCC. The breakfast was not that wide a spread but they had all the essential brekkie stuffs. Encountered a crawlie which appeared on the table and promptly informed the staff who apologised and moved us immediately. Restaurant Manager Mohd Robae waited for us to finish our breakfast before personally attending to us to apologised about the incident. Although I said it was ok he was really concerned. This gesture was followed by a plate of fruits and a personal card from him again apologising about that incident. This is the BEST service I have received and am greatly impressed with the gestures by Mohd Robae. 10 stars. Hotel room was big, big comfy bed very comfortable and business served. Will definitely come again. Especially for the location... out of the city but nearly."

"Greeted with a smile throughout. Check in was a breeze. I must compliment the malay customer service executive (did not get her name) was so nice and welcoming. Best service so far in my constant stay in KL. She was prompt, polite and most importantly paid attention to detail to my request without me asking. The room was big and digitalized. Walking distance to KLCC. Hotel Car park was free and big. Only small issue that we had was the food during room service a bit salty however would definitely visit this hotel again. "

More about KLCC

At the historic center of Kuala Lumpur, KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center) boasts the biggest attractions and greatest variety of activities in town. The entire city was founded here where the Gombak and Klang rivers combine, and tourists can admire a great deal of colonial architecture.

The twin spires of the Petronas Towers are the defining attraction in KLCC. Once the tallest building in the world, the Petronas Towers have a soaring suspension bridge where ticketed visitors get a sweeping view of the city. KL Tower isn’t quite as tall, but it’s built on a hill so that visitors can enjoy an even better panorama.

KLCC is tourist-oriented, and there are many other high-profile attractions in easy reach of accommodation in KLCC. One of these is Aquaria KLCC, a recently opened aquarium. KLCC Park with its jogging trails and outdoor amphitheater is also here in the shadow of the Petronas Towers.

Several shopping centers operate around KLCC. Avenue K has the most convenient location, with access to the LRT – light rail – KLCC station. The Great Eastern Mall is the other major contender, and it’s especially popular with shoppers who live in the area. It sits across Jalan Ampang from Gleneagle Intan Medical Centre, a hospital that caters to the international community and medical tourists.

Public transportation in KLCC is outstanding. Ampang Park and KLCC LRT stations are gateways to the neighborhood. The most prestigious hotels in KLCC are in reach of these stations as well as local shopping and entertainment venues.
