Relaxing weekend away, lovely and peaceful setting”
Relaxing, amazing staff & brilliant food at the restaurant
Our stay was fabulous. Perfect grounds and lovely break away from the city. Our room was perfect for what we could afford and the spa facilities good. We picked this hotel due to it's location and good reviews and we weren't dissapointed. The food at the restaurant had good reviews too, which was the main reason we also booked here and we weren't dissapointed. The head chef was lovely and we spoke to him after our meal and it was a delight. Would definitely go back and we already want to!

Great food, problems rectified.”
The food was tremendous, Good leisure facilities.
On arrival it transpired we were booked into the 'lodge' which is located some 200m from main hotel accessed by either a winding gravel path or along the road. The room we were allocated did not reflect the price we had paid. On complaint to Jason, the manager, he upgraded us to the honeymoon suite at an extra £100. The 'honeymoon' suite was really good as was the food which was excellent.Be careful when booking, and clarify that you are in fact ending up in the main hotel rather than the 'Lodge' which from our experience, was not up to the standard expected for the prices charged.

Very nice hotel and location”
Staff and food
very good location for visiting the local area. very good pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. staff were very pleasant and helpful. room was very good size but the bath hadn't been cleaned properly and the tv was tiny. there was a lounge with a much large flat screen, we were in the building about 200yds from the main hotel. food was excellent both nights as was breakfast.
