The only good about this Guest House is only the location...it's really difficult to find the entrance from Empire shopping complex, i keep asking people around and all the security officer in the Empire Shopping Mall. The room is dusty, especially when we are staying in the family room. No trash basket provided in the room and the toilet/bathroom was not properly clean when we check-in. We need to put all the pillow case by ourself, put the bedsheet, take the blanket from the downstairs rack.... the room and the whole unit have no tv and no iron and iron board... its really not a good place for business people...

Strategic, simple and satisfactory”

Entrance to the guesthouse is through Empire Mall and might be a little difficult to find without the help of workers there. Thankfully we manage to find the front desk to the apartments above the mall. Need to leave your ID with the front desk security and they will give you the lift access card to the apartment floor. We called the owner (numbers available near the front door) and he was very friendly and instructions were simple and easy to understand. Our family room is cozy and the clean bedsheets, pillowcases and blankets are available downstairs for us to prepare ourselves. Coffee and tea are available to make and wifi is free too. Air conditioner works great for us especially with Malaysia's humidity. We could not figure out how to turn on the shower in our room but thankfully the shower downstairs works and there's no other guests downstairs that day. Hot shower is a perfect welcome after our late-night weekend outing. Location is great for travellers who use public transport like us. It is only 20 minutes walk from KTM Subang. Will definitely come by again when there's plans to hang out in Subang as hostels / guesthouses are scarce in this area, what more a decent one like E Guesthouse. It is not a 5-star hotel quality but it is a great place for backpackers, family or weekend travellers who can appreciate basic cleanliness and decent amenities offered.

it was out of my expectation. is soho apartment converted into duplex. the facilities are like low cost budget inn hotel. mattress seems like second hand quality.

Sometimes Honesty Is the Best Policy”

The owner is retired and was so friendly so I hate to give this report. However, his lack of honestly, in actually stating the conditions was wrong. So for the benefit of others considering this Guest House I must be honest. First, this is a "soho" (office-tel) in a large MalL (3rd fl.)& factory businesses, worker housing etc. on all floors. The actual GH is sm. office ste. size divided into 2 cubicles as dorm/loft upstairs. Other guests, were locals and one worked in the building. The noise at night from manufacturing firm was intolerable 11pm to 8 am non-stop pounding, drilling and sawing. I got absolutely no sleep. Owner pretended he didn't know about this problem, until I told him the upstairs guest told me it has been going on for two weeks (every night). The owner did install a microwave when I informed I needed to prepare special diet meal, but the wife seemed not happy about it. Towels were heavily stained, like rags, some torn, taken from their home. Also, you must leave a ID Photo for access to lifts. Owner logically should have offered a refund full/partial, since I booked two nights. I didn't ask since price was low and they are retired couple. Bottom line, good place for local business person for 1-2 nights, would not suggest tourists or foreigners to stay here.

A pleasure to have stayed in E Guest House. It is a nicely managed budget guest house offering comfortable and worry-free accommodation. E Guest House is located in a building above a great local shopping mall, easy access to public transport, environment is safe and clean. Strongly recommended for individual and family travellers.

please bear in mind that the hotel is within the empire shopping gallery. we couldnt find it and the lift is terrible! we need to wait at least 5-10 min to enter the lift! no parking for us and we were charged hourly. at night, we came back late like around 1am and the guard didnt allow us to enter the carpark though at last they did allow but this wasted away our time! the air con spoiled when we entered our room after long argument with the guards. the water pump also got some problems. this is the worst feeling ever! i never stay this kind of hotel before. bad services. the only thing u would find it good is bsc it is within the shopping mall and it is convenient for you if u like shopping. i will never recommend this hotel to my friends.

comforting for a first-time solo traveler”

very satisfactory ... it was purely a guest 'house' with several rooms. The dormitory I stayed in was very simple - sturdy steel double-deck bed (3 of them - max 6 people in the room), fast internet connection, filtered water, dining table with chairs, medium-sized toilet and bath, high-ceiling room. I feel very secure during my stay. I had a little problem during check-in as I was not able to call ahead when I am going to check in. I was able to find the place at around 9:00 PM local time (30 min after leaving the train station) as most people in the vicinity do not know the E Guest House. I had to ask the lady at the information counter of the Empire Shopping Gallery for the direction. The guest house is very near the Subang Jaya train station, at the 3rd-4th floor (3A) of Empire Soho hotel. A card-key is needed to access the floor, but the security personnel has a copy. Then there is an electronic security key upon entering the room. No hassle in check out. After tidying up my bed and placing the sheets on the designated container, I left. I will be back here if given another opportunity.

Cheap at a nice location”

If u had a fight with your family and want to run away not so far away from Klang Valley if u from here and on budget or short of cash, this would be the perfect answer for you. Cheap, clean and adequate if would not mind with no reception counter, television, making up your own bed. Otherwise, there is internet, coffee and hot shower. If you happen to be alone staying in there, it can be quite creepy. Otherwise the furnitures are all new. It can be tricky to find your way here as it situated inside soho square, need to leave your licence at get security counter. One more thing, you still have to pay your parking fee as it in same building as the empire shopping mall. Nonetheless, it does save my cash in time of need
