Great little hotel! ”
Had a lovely 5 night stay at the Even. Room was small (as most NY hotel rooms are), but well laid out and very clean. The hotel employees I interacted with were really friendly and helpful. Location was amazing, close to a number of trains and some great coffee shops / restaurants. Would stay here again.

Clean, Quiet and Comfortable”
Very friendly staff. Anastasia at the front desk was very helpful! The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was great too! I had an acai bowl that was perfect. Even though my room was near the elevator I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Pleasant surprise”
I had to travel to nyc for business, as i have done several times in the past. this was one of the nicest surprises. I do wish the hotel had a better restaurant, with more options. But that's a minor complaint. If i have to return to the city again, this is where i'm staying.

Clean and well maintained rooms. super comfy beds and great toiletries. No traffic noise and every night a good sound sleep. Excellent service staff. Easy walking distance to food and subway.

Nice but...”
Excellent location and service, however their process for breakfast in the AM does not work. I would recommend that this hotel find a better way for their breakfast, as I saw many customers leave in frustration (we waited 45 min) and we were almost late for a scheduled event!

The hotel is very modern and cute . The rooms are a decent comfy size . I loved the mood light in the room . The staff very nice . The only downfall is breakfast they charge for everything even the coffee in the restaurant eating area . I would suggest paying for breakfast ahead of time to get a voucher . What can be changed with the voucher is allowing guests to get both coffee and orange juice . Not either or . Other than that food was great and service was good .

Alternative New York City Hotel”
The hotel in Manhattan is pricey, small, filthy and not kid friendly. We decided to stay in Brooklyn for our trip back to the states. We actually have no problem staying in Brooklyn though because we lived here for a few years. The hotel is pretty new. Room is decent size. We are family of four with 2 young children. There are still rooms for luggages. The hotel is walking distance to major subway stations (Dekalb, Nevins and Hoyt) and Brooklyn new food hub (Dekalb Market Hall).

Fine, but bizarre”
The wrong yogi got a hold of whomever built this place and got them to vomit "wellness" paraphernalia all over it. Encouraging text is printed on the walls throughout ("Refresh and wash your troubles away", on the sliding bathroom door, for example, or "Sleep well, dream BIG" on the ceiling above the bed). The hallways are no better. Oh, and let's not forget the weird exercise pole that greets you when entering the room: with the hanging straps, it looks like something out of a dungeon, and I don't mean a medieval one. Don't get me wrong, the place is comfortable enough. But it really just feels like something to laugh at.

It isn't a Four star Hotel”
It wasn't worth the price. The only nice and favourable thing was the location. The rooms didn't feel like home away from home. It's a place to stay for maximum of 2 nights not more. The breakfast menu doesn't have variety. Quite frankly, I was quite disappointed. I have stayed in better hotels with nicer prices in Newyork/ Brooklyn. The nicest thing that came out the hotel is the staff namely YAZZA. He was very nice, friendly engaging with kindness radiating out of him.

OK just for overnight- ”
The hotel was affordable and the room was a decent size. The staff was nice, brought extra blanket and towels. However, the room was not very clean. A look at the mattress cover showed it was dingy dirty. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. Tried to put on the heat to no avail

Bed bug issue”
I have contacted the hotel more than once re: bed bug bites I received while staying at the hotel but I have not received a response yet from anyone at the hotel.
