As previously stated I was unable to stay at this hotel. the facilities were not prepared for a new customer. fridge not turned on. toilet not sanitised and mouldy bathroom area. a/c, fridge not working. compared with other bookings this was well-below par.

Great location and easy access”

The inn may need a good repaint of it's exterior and simple room renovation. Our stay experience could be quite scary if it was not for the fact that the rooms on our floor were taken up.

hotel is too bad”

There is not hot water provided in the hotel, environment is dissapointingly unhygenic, the bathroom floor is sticky and the curtain is very dusty which leads to allergy. Families with children indeed should not get in. Originally i was planning to live in here for 3 nights, but we however chose to live in other hotels after having 2 nights there.

Budget Hotel but well located.”

My wife & I stayed here for the night of 17th September 2013. For the price I paid for the room i was happy with the facilities. The room had a fridge, hot & cold water in the shower & the toilet flushed OK. The bed linen was clean & the bed comfortable. The hotel was close to the public transport up to Seorak Mountain park entrance. Our stay was comfortable & had no faults. There is about six or seven restaurants next door to the Hotel. The public transport up to the mountain is KRW1200 & take bus 7 or 7A

Very nice family run hotel, but pretty run down.”

The good: Very kind husband and wife run the place. They are very helpful and can suggest tours of the park and good restaurants. That being said, the restaurants are very good around here. I really liked the pork barbecue restaurant that the owner recommended. Such fresh food! There is a couple of all night marts for your shopping needs as well. There is a bus stop to town and to the park nearby. The prices are a bit inflated in this area, so expect to pay 7000 for a rice dish and about 13,000/person for pork bbq. The rooms are not great but the air conditioner works well enough and there is a good fridge and a workable shower with warm water. Great view of the mountain from your room. There is instant coffee as well as all the hot and cold water you need available in the lobby. There are some tables, chairs, and a couple of makeshift grills out back if you want to do some cooking. The Not-so-good: The room was a small, old style Korean inn. The bed was firm and the pillows very hard. The hotel is pretty run down, a bit moldy smelling, with only a few of the rooms in usable condition. The bathroom sink didn't drain and the wind howling through the vacant areas of the hotel at 1AM could be a little disconcerting as well. It was pretty creepy and fun walking around the mostly deserted, dimly lit hotel at 1 in the morning to close off slamming doors in the howling wind! The owner rectified this the next day and it wasn't a problem again. :)

Great place for budget traveller”

i had a great stay here. The view of Seorak mountain is breathtaking. Easy access for public transport as the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The owner can speak english and very helpful. No kettle in your room however you can get hot water in the lobby.

Comfortable stay for family”

Its situated near the Seorak Park. There is a direct bus tothe park from the hotel. Its quite far to walk to Seorak park from the hotel though. Very convenient to get any necessity as there is a24 hrs shop near the hotel. The 1st impression it was a bit run down. However, once you met the owner it doesnt even matter. He was helpful and able to speak in english making it easy for me and my family. definitely worth staying here. Sokcho town is also not that far via bus or taxi.

Close to Soraksan, No night life”

If you only aim for Mt. Sorakan, stay in this hotel as you need not to wait Bus No.7 or 7-1 to Mt. Sorakan but to walk. However, if you want a balance on the night life too, you have to take several trips from here to the city and that will cost you a lot. The single trip bus fare is at a flat rate of 1100 Won.

Very close to Seoraksan NP”

The hotel staff were incredibly pleasant. The room was clean enough, I suppose, though not the most comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance from the National Park which was a huge added bonus. There are several restaurants nearby, and a convenience store.

Old Hotel”

The owner can speak English and helpful in giving us direction and tips. The hotel looks old and creepy. There is a 24 hrs 7-11 near the hotel and in front of it is the bus stop to Mt. Soerak and Sokcho city. We thought the hotel is near the Mt. Soerak National Park, apparently it is 25 minutes walk.

lovely hotel & great location- but we had no wifi”

the hotel was perfect in about everything- clean, simple yet beutiful rooms, a possibilty to sleep on the floor or on a bed acording to your choose, water purifier in the loby (hot&cold)- althouhgh not in the rooms as promised in room description. minuses: no coffee/tea machine as promised in room description, little towels (only head size) and most important- we had no wifi and the owners, although very nice people, had no idea if they actually have wifi in the hotel and where- and in the room description it says there is. from the bus terminal take a taxi at about 10000 won or so and you get there easily, or you can take a bus (7/ 7-1). from the hotel you can take a bus (7/ 7-1) to the national park but I recommend walking - the view is wonderful and it takes 20 minutes. enjoy!!

Walking distance to Seoraksan entrance”

Hotel is clean and homely. It's actually a youth hostel, so there is no service (rooms re not cleaned daily and you collect your towels from the manager or his wife, hot water is from a dispenser near the front office). There are restaurants nearby but we preferred to take bus 7 or 7-1 to Sokcho town for our meals. If you are only going to visit Seoraksan once during your stay, you may prefer to stay in town and take the bus 7 or 7-1 to the mountain and then explore Sokcho in the evenings. The bus gets v crowded esp on weekends.

Great Location but small room.”

My wife and I stayed two nights at this hotel. Its location is quite convenient to enter national park and to get foods. Bathroom is small but good enough. Breakfast is not provided but we can get from convenience store nearby. This hotel fits for ones who go out at daytime and get back for rest at night.

Good location”

The inn is a 20 min walk to the park entrance. Rooms were pretty okay. The rooms have ondol (heated flooring) and it was great to have warm floors when you wake up. Toilets were abit old though. But overall, a good stay for a bargain price if you like doing early morning hikes in seoraksan NP (and the youth hostel is full).

Reasonably priced and ideally located to Mt Seorak”

The hotel is not the newest but all the necessary facilities are working. Room is spacious. It's main advantage is its proximity to the Mt Seorak and easy access to the road. The owner and its staff are very accomodating but english is limited. All in all within expectations for price paid. It is located beside it's more expensive neighbour Hotel Sorak Park

Great location but small rooms”

nice place close to Seorak San .We can walk from the moutain to the hotel because so much people were waiting for bus .It was so much people during weekend and also traffic very jam.However,the hotel location is nice location and easy to go to Socho down town.

great location for exploring seoraksan”

I reached late in the night for check-in and they were prompt and efficient and brought me to the room immediately. Clean and spacious room. Great location. Just walk out a little and you will see the bus stpp where you can board the bus 7 or 7-1 to seoraksan. Left my luggage there for a day as i hiked up the peak and stayed in the shelter for a night. The owners took care of it welll. Nice friendly staff.Would not hesitate to stay again.
