Okay place with nice breakfast”

We had a really nice time in Ngwe Saung. The Hill Top Resort was a good place to stay. Our bamboo hut was nice, the bathroom was okay. There just was no moscito protection in the bathroom. It‘s a nice area, very green and the owner got up for us in the middle of the night when our bus arrived from Yangon. The breakfast was nice, too. And it‘s perfectly located, 3 min walk to the beach and Lover‘s Island. We even stayed longer than we first wanted. The only thing we didn‘t like very much is that it seemed like they really wanted to sell you their tours. And they didn‘t seem too happy with you after you declined. Anyway, we‘d probably come back, because for the price it‘s really a nice place.

Basic beach house type place, bed, mosquito nets and a tiny bathroom. No hot water but you don’t really need it here. 5 mins walk from the beach. Breakfast was ok, staff were fine. The reception is open 24hrs so if you’re arriving at 3am from Yangon you can check in and get some sleep. There is no electric between 6am and 6pm, this is, at present, the same in most places in Ngwe Saung, generators come on 6pm-6am but you soon get used to the sound. Entrance to beach is filthy but after 5mins walk it’s clean and the sea is fine for swimming in. Town bit is about 4 or 5km, walkable if not too hot otherwise 1000kyat on back of a motorbike.

Despite highlighting in the booking that we will be on the night bus and Arriving early in the morning there was nobody at the hotel and it was deserted. We had to walk in the dark to another hotel and forfeit our booking.

Nice place”

Spent 6 nights here around the water festival. It didn’t triple its prices like most of the other hotels. The dorm room was quite new so new mattresses, pillows and mosquito nets 😁 See if you can nab the top bunk next to the window for a breeze at night! When they built this theory only put a shower in at the end, not a toilet so you have to walk up to the restaurant to use it. Not a problem during the day but not so good at night. Breakfast changes every day and if you don’t want the local food, you can always ask for toast and eggs. There are free water refills but you need to ask or you will be sold a new bottle. Jo and Jimmy were great hosts and great fun, helping with all my questions, even organising a PADI course for me after being let down by another company. About a 2 minute walk to the beach past local market stalls. Beware, there Is NO shade on the beach, but awesome sunsets. There are also masses of mosquitos so bring your repellant!!

The owner is such a great guy, he really makes you feel at home. They really care about you having a good time. It's a really chilled out place, so nice sleeping in a hut and hearing birds and feeling the wind. Breakfast is good. Free bycicles to explore. Good location by the beach and away from busy centre, yet close by bike. The couple who own the massage parlour next door are ADORABLE, with the sweetest kids. I highly recommend the Thai massage and to just hang out with them, they are great. They are building dorms now which look pretty cool, for those who want a cheaper stay. Only downside was WiFi was bad, but data is so cheap...Don't tate to go here! Oh and they have the cutest happiest Dog in Myanmar!

Allowed early check in, and will help if you ask, English not spoken by most workers, and the food costs were not reflective of value. WiFi sketchy.

Simples et basiques avec des moustiquaires sans trous. À 5 min de la plage. Personnel très sympa et excellent restaurant. Les bungalows donnent tous sur le jardin avec vue sur l'océan au loin. Salon de massage sur place. Je recommande vivement.

Hôtel très joli mais drap pas propre. pas d'eau chaude. électricité uniquement de 18h a 6h. Le wifi est mauvais sauf dans le restaurant de l hôtel. petit dej moyen Personnel très gentil.

Had a wonderful stay. Nice place. Lovely owner. Takes you to beach bar parties with his car and helps you with anything!! 5 Minute walk to the beach. If you want to go to town you can rent a scooter 😀 loved it there!

... es waren 6 tolle Nächte bei Joe und seinen Mitarbeiterinnen. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt und ich habe mich ein bisschen in die Menschen dort verliebt. Ganz besonders toll war auch die Massage bei Chai u seiner Frau nebenan .... werde nächstes Jahr wieder kommen!!!!!!

Schöne Anlage mit herrlichem Meerblick”

Wir haben ein paar schöne Tage in der Unterkunft verbracht. Das Personal war bestens gelaunt und die Atmosphäre war sehr familiär. Trotzdem nichts für hohe Ansprüche. Strom gab es nur von 18.00 bis 6.00 Uhr, ebenso nur kaltes Wasser, was bei den warmen Temperaturen allerdings kein Problem darstellt.
