For the price charged it was better to have stayed in a hostel. The room was very dirty, the wardrobe door was hanging, lots of burn marks on the furniture. The toilet was dirty and all broken, a piece of cardboard was being used to cover the toilet tank, and there was no cover on the light switches. On top of all that in the morning I saw two mice running from under my bed to under the minibar.

DISGUSTING! ”
If you go here and you an intelligent person you are guaranteed to be upset. The staff thinks it's a wonderful place and at a great price. They see nothing wrong with nasty stained sheets and carpets, broken fixtures, (Broken toilets, tubs, furniture amd mold all over the place including the ac/heating units) I removed the air filter and it was caked with dirt and probably hasn't been cleaned since it was installed. The front desk is behind Bullet-proof glass so that was they very first inclination of something wasn't right at this place. Drug addicts and see workers seem to walk in out all night long. Caveat Emtar!

Dirty room”
I booked the hotel because price is cheaper compare other hotel in NYC , and i read so many bad review about the Hotel, that scared me when i checked in the hotel wondering how our room would be. The room was okay, but there were not toilet paper in the bathroom, i asked the housekeeping and she gave me two of that. The carpet was so dirty and sticky, and the table so dirty like they never wipe it. The bathroom is okay, it was clean enough. The good thing they have refrigarator and microwave inside the room. And location is not far feom the subway station. About 7minutes walk.

Hotel lacking basic cleanliness ”
The hotel room was a shock with the carpet not vacuumed well, mold on the bottom of the shower curtain, hardly any hot water in the evening, and a toilet that did not flush well. After speaking to the clerk, there response was apparent that they did not care. Additionally, it seems they can not provide a receipt if you book through a third party.

Checked in , got to the room had a weird odor discovered it was from the bathroom and it was infested with flies . Went back to the desk to get another one , other room had a just bits of tobacco all over the floor and reeked of cigarette smoke. Also had a burnt on cross on the wall for some reason. Very creepy.

Stay at Hillside Hotel”
Location was great being close to JFK and LaGuardia in New York. But not a good hotel for family stay and facilities not well mantained. Requires a facelift to attract any business travelers or families. Staff was great as they were able to make alternate staying arrangements in spite of a goof up of canceling a reservation that was made well in advance.

it’s not worth it even for a penny! Extremely dirty! Cigarette burns everwhere! Smelling disgusting! Terrible area! So noisy! They say they’ve got parking but it’s in gas station and you pay 20 dollar! Never ever again!!!

Very dirty bathroom, WiFi didn’t work, AC worked but was freezing cold. Tv didn’t work either. Perfect if you wanna pick up a few p*stitutes I guess. Bed seemed clean.

The pictures were when they first opened. Now, it's just false advertisement. Rugs are dirty. The linen had burn holes. Shower curtain turn. Blood droppings in the elevator, the front desk manager said no one was available and she didn't clean it up either and it was not busy for her not to. The towels need to be washed in bleach, they were dingy. The curtain was hanging off. I booked a double bed room through this website and it put me in for a queen bed room. I asked the hotel if I could get a double bed for 3 of us, she said it would cost me almost $400 more due to weekend rates. Ridiculous. I would say a hard no, unless you just have no choice.

Stay here if you are on a super-strict budget and if you have a tolerance for cigarette/pot smoke smell, sticky/filthy carpeting, etc.

Horrible and dangerous neighborhood. Cigarette/marijuana smell. Noisy hosts. Thin walls. Extremely dirty carpets. Unbearable street noise (bring earplugs). The good part is that it has a microwave.
