Had to chose this hotel due to last minute travel because hotels in Manhattan and Brooklyn were priced insanely then. Not a good base location for sightseeing as it took me almost an hour to get into Manhattan. However, may be good if you are looking for a place to stay close to the airport. Room is small but clean and staff are friendly. It is located about 6 minutes walk to Jamaica station. There are several ethnic restaurants (Chinese, Mexican, Portuguese, etc) on the way to hotel and there are chain restaurants/cafes (Dunkin Donuts, Tim Hortons, Chipotle) near Jamaica station.

Most decent hotel near Jamaica station”
Hotel provides abit security compare to nearby hotels. Staff not communicating well when they said they will deliver my luggage to my room but when I called they said they don’t do that kind of service. Room is clean and nice!

Bed bugs!”
Everything went fine until I noticed that I had 28 bites all over my body the day after staying at this hotel. I spent two days laundering and disinfecting all of my belongings. When I called the front desk to let them know and to ask for a refund they refused, told me they had checked all the rooms and didn't see any signs of bed bugs (no kidding, they can hide inside the mattress...) and refused to pass me on to a general manager. There is also no way to report this or send photos of the bites to upper management. They should really take this kind of thing seriously and try their best to make it right...

Good value ”
The hotel is an easy walk from the end of the Airtrain line - turn right out the door and walk four short blocks. Check in is quick and easy. The room is small, but clean and has everything you need. The king size bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is from 7 to 9am. It’s predictable, but quite good.

If you need a couple of days or a night layover. This is the place to stay. Very clean room. White clean sheets/comforter. Location is not bad at all. This will be my layover hotel from now on.

The location is not ideal. Surroundings are dirty. A lot of homeless people at night and in the morning. This impacts on personal safety

Three blocks away from JFK Air train”
Super convenient location! Close to everything! I wanted something close enough to Manhattan and jfk, this was a win win situation, the LIRR is right next door. Easy commute to manhattan. I will def be staying here next time for a quick trip to NYC. Hotel room was clean and pretty big comparing to other expensive hotels I’ve stayed before in NYC.

The staff there are very kind and very helpful when you need them. Also it is a very clean place they keep the place very maintained. I will definitely be staying again. Thank you to the staff there.

He put me in a room that didn’t get clean. It was a good thing that I always check the sheets. The sheets were dirty. Hair on the bathroom floor and in the bath, blue stuff on the toilet area. But otherwise everything else was ok.

"Worst Experience"”
Upon arrival nobody approach you. They gave a room key and told it's on fifth floor. You have to go by yourself to the room. When I reached in a room floor was wet. They used soiled linens to make bed. It has coffee stain and Torn also. I didn't get breakfast in this hotel as they told me they did not have restaurant. At the time of check out I didn't get my invoice as they told me printer is not working. When I asked for soft copy reply was software issue. Till today I am waiting for my invoice on my email id but I didn't get it. Overall my experience was worst with this hotel.

Don't Stay here! ”
Brand new Holiday Inn Express. Has to be the dirtiest and worst run one of all the one's I've stayed in, (which is many). Breakfast ends earlier than most and the food is less than the quality of all the others I've stayed in. Also have to pay exit & entrance fee for the JFK AirTran $7.75 each way plus $1.00 for the card to swipe in the machine. So. Whatever you're paying to stay at this place add another $16.50 to the hotel bill. There's also no decent food to order or anywhere near this hotel except for an okay fried chicken joint. There is a decent cold sandwich ship about 1½ blocks away which also has great coffee but closes very early and closed on Sundays.
