친구끼리 저렴한 호텔을 찾아 가격대비로는 그럭저럭 만족하는 편이며. 공용화장실 사용이라는 점이 새로웠습니다만 가끔 환풍기로 마리화나나 담배냄새 나는것 빼곤 괜찮았습니다. 침대는 나쁘지 않았고 냉장고에 이전분이 먹었던걸로 예상되는 음료수가 남아있었습니다. 방 자체는 청소를 잘 해주시나 딸려있는 부엌은 제대로 관리가 되자 않는거같아 아쉬웠으며. 전자렌지가 있는부분은 좋은 요소였습니다. 가격이 타호텔보다 저렴한데 비해 역 바로 앞에 있고 가벼운 조식으로 빵과 시리얼 가벼운 음료가 제공되는건 좋았습니다. 나쁘지 않은 호텔이었습니다.

그냥 건물내 모텔 수준의 호텔이구요. 방 청결이나, 태도... 공동 화장실이 너무나 냄새나서 사용하기 어렵구요.... 사진에 속았네요... 위치는 첼시 마켓과 가까워서, 좋았지만 엘리베이터도 없고 가파른 계단이라 케리어 올라가는데 죽는줄알았네요. 비츄요

Nice low-cost, comfy hotel”
I've stayed in the Hotel309 a few times, it's around the corner from my general work destination, is clean, inexpensive and offers decently sized rooms.

Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Location can't be beat as it was next to everything I wanted. We will definitely stay there again in the future and I do recommend Hotel 309

“Absolutely loved this hotel, breakfast every morning is amazing for an included in the price breakfast. Staff are helpful and friendly, the location was perfect, 5 minutes’ walk to the metro station and only 10 minutes metro if that to get into town, the rooms were good with road view. The shared bathroom was clean. Enjoyed the complimentary tea and water being restocked every time the room was cleaned.

Metro access within 1 min walk. Breakfast had toast, croissants, juice and coffee. Very clean room. $10 for baggage storage per room. Felt safe.

European Vacation in NYC”
We stayed at the 309 because it was close to my daughter and very affordable. They room was simple and clean. Everything worked and the bed is was comfortable. Nothing smelled and the sheets were clean. The hall baths were fine - a little mismatched but the shower worked well and having traveled in Europe, this did not bother me. There is no elevator so we got good exercise on the 3 flights of stairs. We appeared to be the only Americans in the hotel - most were older European tourists who, like me, seem to have graduated from Hostels but cared far more about the location of the hotel than the bells and whistles - and were used to the idea or a hall bath. I would stay there again.

Be sure to look at traveler's photos (NOT what is shown on Agoda's site--that's not what it looks like on the outside!). We knew we were traveling on a thin shoestring budget, and planned to be out of the hotel for most of each day sightseeing, so were willing to forgo many amenities. It's a walkup, it's small, and there's a shared bathroom, so things to keep in mind. But if you're really only going to use the room as a place to crash after seeing the sights all day, and you leave again early in the morning to see more sights, it's fine. Downsides: lumpy bed. We had to ask (twice!) for coffee cups. A shared bathroom is perhaps not for everyone (it was always clean, though . . . but once I went in and someone hadn't flushed. Ick.). Upsides: great location in upper Village/Chelsea. For the price, you'll NEVER find something in the city that's an actual hotel and not someone's living room sofa on AirBnB. Easy walking distance to everything; subway is right there, too.

Facility small, and generally run-down, however the standard room even if small was well kept and equipped for the standard. One can see the place would need a proper facelift. Breakfast room small and things on offer few (disappointing bread and bread only, Continental breakfast) and the overall impression there untidy.However the bed was comfortable and special thanks to the only lady working in reception (others were guys) who was extra helpful and service minded.Super service there and big thanks!

No bathroom in room”
Nowhere on the advertisement for this room did it say that there would not be a bathroom. When we arrived we learned the bathroom is in the hallway and shared with the other guests on that floor. If we wanted a room with a bathroom it would be $40 more. The reason I booked this place is because it was less expensive than others in the area but had I known there was no bathroom I would have booked elsewhere. Be sure to call and ask if your listed room has a bathroom inside it before you book.

Great location, average room, no doubt. Has a sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom, and great breakfast. However, extremely dirty. Seems like they don't clean the place that well. Literally ate a bagel with a cockroach. Average for a NYC, but still.

The hotel is in a good location but my room was very dirty. I was only booked for a few nights and had prepaid so I didn’t have much choice or budget to go elsewhere. NY is very expensive so even a low grade hotel can still charge a lot. The ease of getting around was my only reason for staying here. The door staff were a mix of unfriendly and then really lovely people, like Mallela, who was brilliant. My room had signs of dirt everywhere and the kitchenette was not very clean, including the fridge that still had food remnants inside. It had been very badly cleaned and even warned about attracting “unwanted visitors”! I should have complained, but I just wanted to enjoy my short time in NY so was only there to sleep. Breakfast was ok but nowhere to comfortably eat. In normal terms the room was worth no more than $50 a night but here you can demand a lot for downtown location and ease of transport. It’s worth paying extra for a clean, comfortable room elsewhere.

Agoda specifies that we would get a bath and a tub. The only shared complement would be the bathroom stall. Our economy room had no shower nor tub. It was all shared.

This hotel was awful, it was dirty, towels look like they had been used, someone walked in to our room with the do not disturb sign on the door! the free breakfast was a joke as well. I have stayed in a lot of hotel in NY and this one is the worst I have ever stayed in.... The hotel is not what it they are showing on this web site! I check for bed bugs, I tried to get a new hotel room but none were available I was there for the design week! Very sad hotel
