The room is an apartment!”
Spacious 2 rooms, 3 closets , 2 tv with many movie channels, good lighting, large fridge, kitchenette with all appliances . The bed is very comfortable with soft sheets .The shower is potent. . All in perfect working condition and very clean . The staff very friendly. We arrived from overnight flight , we were given a room 10 am when arrival was stated at 3pm . No charge. Actos de steer are 2 supermarkets one full size and the other gourmet / organic. On the corner is a wine shop with excellent selection and reasonable prices. Metro at two short blocks.

The Beacon is perfectly located between Central Park and the Hudson on the Upper West Side. The Staff is truly excellent, above anywhere we've stayed in NYC over many years. Our first recommendation from Ashley for Joe's Cafe around the corner was the perfect place to start the day. Rooms are spacious, quiet and very comfortable. We'll come back!

Fantastic location. Don’t be afraid to change your room. They stuck me with a handicap room first night. Clothes rack in closet 3 feet high. Toilet problems, no tub, etc. Second room was small but on the top floor with a spectacular view. All rooms have a kitchenette. Great diner adjoined to hotel building. Liquor store a few feet away. Fairway Market across the street. Block long food store. 24/7. Except holidays.

Loved the location, the space, the kitchen, the staff, the cleanliness. Only complaint is our hallway reeked of weed. Otherwise the hotel was perfect!

The hotel came through on customer service. At the last minute I had to change my room type. The hotel quickly made the change without adding any additional costs. I also had a few minor requests that the hotel quickly met. The hotel made me feel like a valued guest.

Hard to beat the Beacon”
Maybe the best all around value in Manhattan. Location, staff, rooms, cleanliness, quiet, condition. Most rooms have kitchenettes, well equipped. Super clean laundry. Not lavish...maybe a 3.5 * hotel, a classy operation. Hoping the terrific cocktail bar reopens soon.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. 5 min to the subway, easy walk to Central Park, amazing food nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was exactly what we wanted.

Séjour très agréable dans cet hotel”
Bien situé, lit confortable, petite cuisine bien utile après les longues journées de marche dans NYC, équipe très agréable avec en plus un membre de l'équipe qui parle français et est très efficace et sympa. Seuls bémols : la literie du canapé était complètement défoncé (heureusement dès que nous l'avons signalé, un lit supplémentaire a été mis pour que notre fille puisse dormir) et il manque quelques ustensiles dans la cuisine pour pouvoir faire un minimum (comme un saladier, un égouttoir, des couteaux qui coupent bien).

Perfektes Hotel an der Upper West Side”
GeräumigeZimmer, funktionales (kleines Bad), Pantry-Küche (das benutzte Geschirr wird täglich gespült !), freundliches Personal, geringe Entfernung zur Subway-Station 72th Straße, Nähe zum Central Park und zum Hudson Uferpark, deutlich weniger Enge und Hektik als in Midtown oder Downtown, nette (Straßen-)Bar, um in der Happy Hour einen Absacker zu nehmen und den Menschen zuzusehen. Diverse Supermärkte etc. in der Umgebung. Empfehlenswert fürs Frühstück : Brötchen (CountryRolls) aus der Levain-Bakery in der 74th Straße . Wir waren sehr zufrieden !
