Breakfast offerings is substantial. Fresh fruits and cooked vegetables. My only observation was coffee was bit lukewarm. It could be better having hot coffee.

My booking is confirmed at this hotel elena way back sept 2018. Last feb the hotel emailed me that no available room for me on my preferred dates. Good thing i was able to get a better accomodation.

Our room was big which was good for 3 pax. Their complimentary breakfast was good. The hotel is near 7-11, Red Ribbon, Mercury, etc.

Horrible”

I checked in around 330 in the afternoon. Th first thing I noticed when I checked in , the front desk clerks are horrible, they answered sarcastically to my questions. Next, they gave me a HORRIBLE UNCLEAN and SMELLS so bad room. It was just vacated and the toilet was really horrible, the floor was wet and the there were hairs in the tiles. The smell really pushed me as it was like somebody just had their toilet business. There were no shampoo and the towel a 1pc dirty white color towel. It took them around 30 mins with all the arguments with the front desk , housekeeping. What I really dont like was the reply of the horrible FD , that I was just overnight customer. It does not give them the right to give me a horrible room, right? The one I was transferred to was a bit ok but the room was really outdated, toilet was outdated, hairs still in the floor and I have to beg from the housekeeping to change my dirty white towels to a bit OK state. This is my first and my definitely my last stay in this hotel.

No surprises. Easy check in and check out. Free breakfast was plentiful along with brewed coffee.

Nice Hotel”

The hotel is in a great location as it is close to Davao airport. Room and bath is large, nice garden, It's also a short taxi ride to several shopping malls, the boat port that takes you to Samal Island and great restaurants.

Hotel Elena”

Elena has deteriorated for the last 3-4 years that I have been visiting Davao. Rooms at the old wing look and feel very tired - a bit of that moldy smell, a small spider and a cockroach near the curtains when I entered the room. Oh, the drainage in the bathroom also leaks and spills on the floor. And only one towel was provided during my stay. Staff at Jacky's Cafe tend to stay at the bar and engage in chatter instead of taking care of the resto guests. Playing local radio stations loudly also create a disproportionate to the ambience the hotel owner wants to impart. In truth, I'd stay here again and just hope that I get a better room next time.

Hotel is good only there is no free wifi on room and no toothbrush and toothpaste that is free. It is a great value for money despite that. Breakfast is not bad. Room and bath is large.

the worst hotel”

the worst hotel i'd ever been to. after coming from a tour the next day, i was shocked to find out that my room was open and the housekeepers were there cleaning it. but that was already 5PM. that was too late!!!! i put my stuffs down and told them i'll stay outside while waiting. as i was to go out, the lady pulled my bedsheet and there was dead COCKROACH on my bed. i wanted to think the moldy smell of the room was because the hotel was old but i was also right to think that my room was not cleaned before i checked in. i also didn't feel the sincerity of the staffs to assist me. i was very dismayed to choose this hotel over others which has lower prices. other hotels could have clean rooms, friendly staffs, better food and a free wifi access. they're boasting about the free wifi from a near restaurant. it was such an incredible waste of money. i would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Elena experience”

My room was not cleaned up even after 3x requests & door post reminder ... I came back w/ door open - nothing was lost, tho' everyone was apologetic - but bad impression had been made.
