호텔은 좋아요”
뉴욕에 도착해서 첫날부터 3일간 있었던 호텔이었는데 저흰 아고다 측에 결재를 완불하고 간곳이라 거기서 resort fee 만 지불하면 되는데 가승인를 가는날 부터 1,000달러, 100달러,등 이틀 동안 5번이나 카드 문자가 계속 오는거에요.. 호텔 측에 문의하니 1,000달러는 취소 시켜 주고.. 사람들이 자꾸 바뀌다보니 여러명 한테 계속 말해야 하는 불편함이 있었고 ㅜ 끝내는 호텔매니저라는 분께서 오셔서 체크아웃 하면. 다 취소 된다고 해서 해결할수 있었긴 하지만 처음 에 엄청 놀랐습니다.. 그렇다고 취소는 아직 안 된 상태이지만 카드매입을 안잡으면 한달 뒤엔 자동 취소가 되는 우리나라 신용카드 니 걱정은 안하려 합니다. 호텔 컨디션이나 위치는 다 좋았습니다. 금액도 좋았고. 다른건 다 만족 합니다

Best choice in NYC”
1. Fabulous room - large size, windows, awesome bathrooms - we took with standing shower. Great for South Asians as it has a bidet in the commode. 2. Terrific service - within minutes, despite COVID staff shortage, housekeeping was on time and high quality. 3. Location - right near shopping, office - my son works for an Investment Bank - clean and busy area.

Christmas in NYC”
This is the second time I’ve stayed at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel, it never disappoints. The location is great if you are looking to see the sites in NYC, perfect walking distance to restaurants. Very close to Rockafeller Center and the Empire State Building. The staff here is friendly and the hotel is beautiful and clean!

Well loved Suprise 60th trip for my mum”
I bought a trip to NY as a 60th birthday for my mum with my dad. They loved it. Pros Room and hotel very clean Fantastic cooked breakfast with variety each day. Beautiful staircase Walking distance to many attractions Cons Only that its mainly for business travel and so there are alot of people with laptops in the bar which isn't very relaxing.

Beautiful hotel staff indifferent”
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable. Everything was very classy and clean. My only issue was when we had a couple of issues and the staff attitude/ knowledge wasn’t there. I couldn’t make an international call from my room and was told 2 different things by 2 different people including they were having phone issues. On closer inspection by myself in the room, the plug had come lose from the wall! My brother couldn’t get into his room on day 2 and was told he didn’t have a reservation. I called down as made the booking. I was told I was speaking too fast, was spoken over then placed on hold and transferred to an answer machine!! I had to go downstairs to rectify this issue which wasn’t actually an issue. Also it was my brothers 50th birthday which they were aware of but nothing additional give - no upgrade no chocolates nothing which was disappointing as lady next to us at check in got a larger room offered as having issues with her booking!

Nice historic hotel in midtown”
The location was convenient to major points of interest. During our stay (early June ‘21) services and amenities were quite limited (no bar, kitchen or coffee service) and many restaurants on the block were either closed or just starting to re-open. Hotel staff were pleasant but seemed overwhelmed at times. They had difficulty making recommendations and providing basic things like ice and bottled water. Still, we felt safe staying here and are grateful to return to a new normal in NYC.

'Destination fee' is a pathetic rip-off and overly restrictive”
They charge a USD30/day 'destination fee' on top of the room fees and tax. They issue a card a check-in explaining what you can spend this on, but the criteria are pathetically restrictive, e.g. you can spend up to USD25 of this on food, but if you spend in the minibar then they charge you a USD20 restocking fee, so you basically have USD5 to spend. Ends up being a ridiculous rip-off. They should just charge 30 extra/day on the room rate and be up front about it!

Housekeeping Disaster (DIRTY)”
The physical property is pretty nice with a huge lobby and a relatively modern room. However, the service is definitely not up to par with the prestige of the intercontinental brand. I stayed here for 10 nights and I have to say it was the worst housekeeping service I have ever experienced, notwithstanding the fact that this is a premium hotel. My room was not cleaned, there were stains on the floor, bins had dirty liquid residue, table surfaces were not wiped. Floors were not vacuumed. My tea is never replaced and I have to request them on a daily basis. Laundry bags were not replaced and the list goes on. (These are just things that I could see with my bare eyes, I wonder if they actually changed the sheets, towels, wipe down the phones, remote controls etc, in between guests) I made a complaint on day 3, but the issue present itself again a few days after. Cleanliness is a basic requirement for any hotels, more so during the covid era. It has been really disappointing to say the least with the level of cleanliness in this hotel, I have definitely expected better from a hotel of this calibre but clearly it is contrary to how it presents itself. I always try to be understanding and give them some tolerance, however with the issue persisting over the 10 days period, it is clearly an issue that they have to improve on. At the end of the day, it is a comfortable hotel but I do hope their housekeeping standards could improve. Also do note, the wifi is NOT highspeed. I have done speed test throughout my stay and it tops 10mbps at times.

First time to have so much trouble in hotel”
Stayed 7 days. When I was arrived, cleaning status was not good. Found many hair, even used dental floss was in trash can in room. My colleagues and I stayed separately in 3 rooms and we had problem almost everyday with reservation(hotel gave my room key to someone else by mistake after I checked in), deposit, room key, fare(receipt was wrong so we had to fix it with hotel), etc.

What happened of this management team!!!”
This hotel with a terrible service ! First issue: During I checking, I booked trough Agoda with premium king room and I did mention I want a one king bed during my booking, but they give me a two single bed after I go down again request to change, then the staff told me there is no more King bed room and ask me to upgrade to pay more! Why I book and paid for premium room amounts also can’t get the reverse? Second issue: at the 4nd nite I stay and during sleeping suddenly front desk called me, he name Ms Jennifer ( she is a manager !) And she told me that this is the last nite of my stay and request me to go down by now, I said I’m tired now can I do it by tomorrow? She said no, must come down now! What is the altitude like this serve to your customers?! This is a terrible of my stay in this hotel! I can’t imaging what gonna happen on me because my next stop I booked few more days in LA !
