Great for the price! ”
Not sure why this place has iffy reviews at all. My sister and I drove up to Jasper for one night with our pup and Maligne Lodge was great! Quick check in, clean room with a bed, bowls and treats for Stella! Maligne Lodge was fabulous, especially considering it was booked one day in advance and was the least expensive option! Would definitely visit again.

Overall good motel for last minute trip. Kids liked pool. Hot tub very tiny and jets were broken but otherwise fine. Front desk staff couldn’t answer my questions very well about activities in area or recommend a good family restaurant. Clean and very comfortable beds. Indoor pool with rooms all around so if you want a quiet room ask to be away from the pool. Also I booked a room with two queens and got two double beds.

Dated rooms”
This lodge is old and dated. Require renovation. The room smelled like an old, dirty wet rag. The asian employee is not friendly. He was training a new employee and when I asked which room we are being assigned, told me to wait and not bother him as he was busy. Also, there is no microwave in the room. The carpet is dark brown and need steam cleaning. The closet is just a box. The bathroom is clean. The walls around the bath tub is also clean but made of plastic. The picture on the web looked nice but not the real thing. The exterior door need to be replaced. There were renovations made in the room over the years like painting, etc. The beds are nice and the mattress is firm which is good for a person with back pain. Value for the money is reasonable. The newly hired front desk female employee is s good addition to the staff, she is friendly and always smiles. A microwave in the room will be a good addition as well.

The room we were given stunk like mold. I spoke to the office and was told it was recently painted. ”
After speaking to a few people that have been staying in the hotel for over a month for work. We were told it was flooded! Which makes sense as to why the smell was so bad. This was not the room I selected when booking my stay. We were all very disappointed and checked out

They.ask.for.deposit.of $100 but don't give.back when checking out .they say.it will go to your credit card. 4 days.later still hasn't got it.

Hotel was awesome very comfortable and clean. Mountains all around. It was gorgeous. We will stay longer next time.

Worked well”
This is not glamorous accommodation at all, but it is clean with excellent staff and located just on the edge of “downtown” Jasper. Our unit had a well stocked kitchenette which allowed us to prepare multiple meals in-house, saving cash throughout our stay. Our kids loved the pool & hot tub after days of hiking. The adjacent coffee shop was a wonderful wake up each morning.
