This is my third time at ManMan. The owner is super friendly and attentive, but always seems to know when to let you do your own thing if you're hanging out in the beautiful common area/lobby ...

Can't think of anything! I mean, if you want the full-on hotel environment with swimming pool, gym, or that kind of thing, then this is not the place for you. This is a place for people who know ...

Breakfast delicious. Comfortable bed and toilet.

The location itself is ok, but it's a bit away from the centre. They do have bikes at the proporty that you can use for free. If you go to places on foot, it will be too far. There is ample space to park in front of the building. The facilities are very new and clean. There is even an elevator, so you don't have to drag everything up via the staircase. The rooms are very spacy and clean. Every morning breakfast will be made for you and it is excellent! Majority of the staff speaks Chinese though, however they recently hired a young man who speaks English fluently. All the staff members are very friendly and will go do their best to help you with your trip. Should you need any transportation to Taroko national park, they can help you with booking a local guide to take you around (either private or in group). It is a short ride by taxi from the station (8 minutes more or less).

I love this little B&B. ManMan makes a really tasty and substantial breakfast. It's kind of a fusion between western breakfasts and Taiwanese ones. Fried eggs, toast, a piece of spiced chicken, a sausage, fruit, and your choice of juice, tea, or coffee. The orange juice is probably not 100% juice, but hits the spot. Coffee was very nice. One of our breakfasts had the usual mix, minus the chicken but with pot-stickers instead. The staff will ask every day when you would like breakfast the next morning. We asked for 10 a.m., and they were fine with that. Nice touch. The property is very nice, and true to the published photos. The 3rd floor family suite we stayed in (this is our second visit, and my kids love the room) has a view of the mountains from the balcony. Room is beautifully done, very spacious, and the beds are very very comfortable.

The location is not super-convenient if you want to walk to the city center, but that was not really a problem for us. It's fine for those who don't mind a longer walk! It takes about 20 minutes to walk into the main area of the city. Having said that, it's very convenient with a bicycle or car. The property offers free bicycles :)

Mattresses were very comfortable. Room was very spacious. Design is very contemporary, but not "so hip it hurts." Even though the building is only three or four stories, there is an elevator, which is a nice touch for when you're loaded with luggage. The lobby area is very relaxing, and the free breakfast was very tasty. The host apologized for not speaking much English, but I think he was being a bit humble :) Free glass of wine in the evening, which you can take up to your room if you like. I really enjoyed my stay, and my kids really liked having the large room to make their own. Beautiful view of the Central Mountain Range, and only about twenty-five minutes to Taroko Gorge. Two 7-11's within reasonable walking distance. Active restaurant and shopping area within a short drive or bike ride, and you can borrow bikes from the hotel. Great place!

No fault of the hotel; Google Maps doesn't quite have the physical location locked down if you use the address in Maps and try to have the app guide you there. Google Maps told me I had arrived at my destination on the main street of Heping Rd., whereas the hotel is located on a lane that crosses Heping. A good landmark is a gas station on the opposite corner of where you should turn. Traveling on Heping, if you look for Lane 18 (gas station on the south side of Heping as landmark), then turn to the north on Lane 18, the hotel will be at the end of a row of townhouses, on the right.

必须说在民宿中是最注重细节和舒适度的，而不是简单粗犷的设计感，毕竟住宿不是艺术展，舒适是首要的，所以下次去花莲还回选择这家。店主和管家的服务也都刚好舒适，不会太过热情，谢谢赠送的红酒。

特别赞，老板cory和其母亲很热情地为我们介绍周边信息；早上有非常丰盛的早餐，下午还有赠送小甜点，晚上还有红酒招待；临走那天cory还特意开车送我们去火车站，这样的民宿哪里找，帮帮哒！另外我们定的vip房，房间超大，后来才发现原来自己定的不仅是民宿，更是一个可爱的小花园！阿姨把花花草草装点的特别好！
