What an amazingly beautiful restored traditional building, it looks even better in real life compared to the pictures. The owner and her assistant (niece) were so friendly and nice and made me feel so welcomed.
Likes - beautiful traditional building, big room, clean, comfortable bed, very quiet environment as it is situated in a peaceful village. It was so windy and chilly when I was there so at night I just need to open windows at night and I have natural air-conditioning. Very lovely indeed.
Cons - it is in a village about 6km away from KinCheng city so you will need to take public bus there for your meals and any shopping. There is a bus stop just a few steps away from this hotel so it is quite convenient though. The owner does not stay at the hotel so there is no dining facility in the hotel nor in the village.
The area around the village is a nature park, beach and various military monuments so there are quite a few places to explore on foot during the day.
I definitely recommend this hotel if you are interested in staying in a restored traditional home in an authentic Kinmen village and want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I know I will definitely stay here again when I return to Kinmen in the future! :)

hotel with history”
Quiet, you can feel the history,
This house was originally built in Ming Dynasty, renovated a few years back. So it is really old. But if you want to feel like how it is to live in such a historical building, this is a good place to stay. Things are old, but rooms have air con, wi-fi. As with most Taiwan bed and breakfast, this is like living in someone's house, meaning some things you just do yourself (like finding your own spoons and cups in the kitchen but you can also have dinner in the open area and chat with other guests). Very informal. No door lock from the outside but you won't bring valuable to visit Kinmen anyway. Nice old lady from next door comes to chat with us in Taiwanese which we don't understand but she was very friendly. This place is very quiet at night. We had a misunderstanding with the (very new to the job) staff, thinking we would have breakfast, but we did not. We worried about her in the morning until we decided just to leave. Next day, though, there is great Taiwanese breakfast with soy milk, and chinese style breakfast. You will need a car/motorcycle. Overall, great place to experience but not for the families who are used to modern hotels. (not for young children either for lack of any childproofing)
