Best option outside the Island of Manhatan”
We have no complains about this place. Location outside the Island of Manhattan is THE BEST, very close to several Subway lines, one of them within 2 minutes walking. And we can get to Times Square in less than 15 minutes, easily. Good markets and nice restaurants around, what helps a lot when you arrive late without the will of going out. Just grab something in a market and heat it in the microwave they have at the hotel. The neighborhood looks very safe with new buildings being build, what made us feel safe in what looks a modern place to walk around. Fell street people or beggars to importunate us there. The hotel is not new, but everything was clean, from the sheets to the bathroom. They do not clean the room everyday, but as far as I know this is happening all around New York because of the pandemic, so, no big deal at all. The rooms are kind of small but for two people is ok! One good thing: Now the rooms have a wood floor, much better than the most of hotel that have carpet. The ladies on the reception were not really warm with us, but I CANNOT say they were unpolite, just the opposite. Whenever we needed something, they were there to help us. I read some complains about this hotel but decided to stay there and my testimonial is that it was really worthy to be there. For a 2 stars hotel it was PERFECT, everything you can expect from a hotel in a city where you spend the whole day outside on the streets. I will stay there next time I go to New York and DO recommend for everyone that do not want to waste money in expensive hotels were you only go to sleep.

Worth It ”
I was a bit hesitant from the reviews mentioning bedbugs, but overall when my boyfriend and I got there, it was all nice and clean. The train station is literally a block away and all the stores and restaurants near us. I have complaints. I had an awesome time and enjoyed my stay there.

Affordable NYC accommodation ”
If you are happy to stay outside Manhattan this is a perfect choice. Only one subway stop away from Manhattan , only one block from that subway stop, it’s perfectly located for a budget aware traveler. The neighbourhood felt very safe. Our room was very clean at arrival, though cleanings only occur a few times a week due to “covid precautions “, but we didn’t mind not having a cleaning during our stay. The elevator was a bit slow as it’s only 1 for 8 floors. The bed was comfy, the AC worked well, and the desk in the room was great for a WFH day.

This is one of the best experiences I have ever had. I will definitely be back. Sally at the front desk is phenomenal and she has completely transformed my stay at this hotel. I will never stay anywhere else as log as I am in New York.

Stayed Sept 2021, hotel was pretty good, at least compared to others in the area for similar price range. Minor cons: housekeeping every 3rd day, no breakfast options, no fridge/ microwave in the room.

I would do it again ”
Very tight squeeze for a family of five. But the location is great to reach anywhere in Manhattan. If driving , good luck finding parking on the street lots better to book a nearby private parking garage.

Some of the decor is a little shabby and dated, but overall the room seemed very clean and was adequate for our needs. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but it's not trying to be. Great value for the money.

Decent Hotel”
I recently stayed here while visiting NYC and in short its an okay place to stay. The location is great, it's just a few minutes away from the subway and there are there several shops where you can find affordable food. I sincerely appreciated arriving here fairly quickly for a nap after a long day of walking around Manhattan. I also appreciated being able to walk less than 5 minutes to the nearest market for a coffee and sandwich. However, the actual room itself was outdated and there was a weird smell that emanated from A/C unit. If you can overlook the latter in favor of the former then you should definitely check this place out.

Good, clean Hotel with nice staff.”
Clean rooms, no breakfast, nearby to subway, no parking at premise but you can find nearby. Nice and helpful staff. They keep $50 security deposit even after paying full in advance. Security deposit was refunded to my credit card within 3 days of checkout. Definitely recommend, if u are looking for a budget hotel in nice neighborhood.
