4월말 이 호텔에서 투숙 했습니다. 뉴욕으로 가족이 여행을 갔습니다. 이 호텔을 선택한 이유는 주차가 어려운 뉴욕에서 호텔 주차장이 있다는 이유였습니다. 아고다 홈피에 하루 30불에 이용할 수 있는 호텔 주차장이 있다는 홍보를 보고 예약했습니다. 캐나다에서 자동차로 가는 여행이라 주차가 가장 중요한 문제였기 때문에 이 호탤에 묵기로 결정을 한 거지요. 호텔에 도착해서 주차장을 물어보니 주차장이 없다더군요. 어린 아이 셋을 데리고 간 여행이라 따질 겨를도 없이(뉴욕 주차 사정이 워낙 험해서요.) 주변 주차장과 스트리트 파킹 등 정말 어려운 시간을 보냈습니다. 주차 문제 때문에 큰 맘 먹고 간 뉴욕 여행이 완전히 어긋나 버렸습니다. 금전적 손실은 둘째치고 여행일정이 완전히 망가졌습니다. 이것에 대해 환불을 요구합니다. 더 큰 문제는 고객의 불만을 접수할 창구 조차 없다는 겁니다. 아고다 홈피 어디에도 고객 불만을 접수할 창구를 찾을 수가 없네요. 무책임한 과장 광고에 대해서 책임질 것을 요구합니다.

지하철 가깝고 센트럴파크역 컬럼비아대학 근처에요. 아무리 비싼 뉴욕 중심가가 해도 가격이 쎈 편인데 그에 비해 시설이나 청결상태는 만족할 수준은 아닙니다.

방이 널찍하고 위생상태가 좋았음. 직원들도 친절하고 오래된 건물이 옛스런 정취가 있었으나 난방 소음이 좀 시끄러움

아무리 뉴욕이라지만 이건 너무해”
방 크기는 보통 레귤러 방의 3분의 1 크기. 더블 침대를 놓을 수도 없어 이층침대가 놓임. 빈 자리에 가방 놓으니 꽉 참. 에어컨 냉장고 물론 없음. 실링팬 있는데 세게 돌리면 흔들거려 떨어질까 으시시. 제일 약하게 트는데 별 효과 없음. 방 6개가 복도 양편과 끝에 있는데 화장실은 하나. 화장실 청소는 화학약품으로. 화장실엔 휴지 외에 비품 없음. 클락은 당연히 없고 데스크에 직원 한 명만 근무. 새벽에 비상벨 울려 투숙객 도피하고 소방차 출동 소동. 기기작동 오류로 밝혀진 뒤에도 사과 한 마디 없음.

Good hotel but not for everyone ”
I would recommend this hotel to certain people, it’s not for everyone. First of, people need to understand that if you are saving money it comes with sacrifice! If you want luxury then you have to pay. Second, come mentally prepared! The rooms are small (literally fits only the bed) and the restroom is shared (and in my case at the end of the hallway). But I was ready, had sandals to shower, had all my supplies in different bags to keep them from direct contact with any surface, always scheduled showers with my husband (I didn’t want to go alone). Also, had wipes for the toilet just in case. The hotel is clean and the shared restroom was ALWAYS clean. My husband and I knew our trip was with the purpose of exploring the city and so we will barely be at the hotel. For us it was worth saving that money to spend it on tours and broadway shows. The bed was comfortable, we had 5 good quality pillows (we slept like babies) and the hotel is quiet. We will totally book this hotel again.

Great hotel”
I rented a Double Room with Private Bathroom and was really great. I had been in NYC before and payed the same for a much worst room in a different hotel. The room has good space and the bathroom was just perfect. The guys from front desk provided everything we asked for and they were very kind. Also, the location of the place is perfect. I will consider this hotel again if returning to NYC.

Pros: Everything you need is nearby. Clean room and towels everyday. The hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful. Cons: no breakfast. The matress was awful. The shared bathroom was clean only the first three days.

I was in NYC w/ my 26-year-old son. We were very pleased with this facility. We made sure we had a room with a private bath. The bathroom looked fairly newly updated. A very bare-bones hotel. Only provided towels, soap, & toilet paper. No shampoo, wash cloths, Kleenex, blow dryer, iron, refrigerator, etc - all things we’re accustomed to having in most hotels . But, for the location, I felt the price was probably pretty reasonable. It was clean, the beds were comfy, had a tv & wi-if. We were only a short 2 block walk from the subway, so this convenience made it VERY MUCH WORTH IT! A grocery store, 7-11, Starbucks, & more very close by. I would stay here again.

Loud and old but very convenient”
Really close to the 96 station. You can get anywhere really fast. The building is old, heater is loud. Being close to Broadway you could hear ambulances and police vehicles, noisy neighbors and across the street one guy was stripped naked playing video games so forget about having your window open. Get yoself some earbuds or white noise machine. Place was daily cleaned.

Superb location”
Very close to the train station, plenty restaurants nearby. Family room is spacious, but may need some upgrades in term of lighting. Room was very dim!

Clean, bare bones facility at a great price!”
Stayed here while visiting my daughter in the neighborhood. Great location near Riverside park, easy access to downtown via subway or taxi (West End Ave). Hallways and lobby are minimally attractive, but the room itself was clean, nice beds, good AC. GREAT price for NYC. I will happily stay here again. The only jarring note was that at one point it looked almost certainly as if a homeless person had showered in the shared bathroom - filthy dirty, hairy debris left behind when I arrived home one night. My concern was that this suggested that security was not as tight as it should be. I have no problem with someone getting clean - in fact am happy that the person was able to do so - but if that person was mentally unstable it could have turned out badly.

Economic and Basic Accomadation”
Royal Park Hotel and Hostel in Uptown West Manhatten is in a good neighborhood, a short walk from the 96 th subway station on Broadway and a pleasant 1/2 hour walk to the East side Museums. The hotel itself is very basic. Our room with a double bed and private bath was small as expected in NYC but functional and maintained except for the worn out mattress. The price was the lowest of any in my search and the taxes and fees were much less than other hotels. If you are looking for glamour this is not the place.

-The value for the money is okay. - The building inside is quite old and some floors have a weird smell. - The bathroom was not always clean. Some guests left looooots of hair around and their towels as well. - Cigarette smell could be smelled even inside the room. - Sound proof: poor- you can hear people walking and talking around the aisles the whole time

DISAPPOINTINGLY BASIC”
Perfectly adequate, BUT HORRIBLY BASIC, FOR WHAT IT COSTS!!!! GOOD GRIEF, THE ELEVATOR IS A JOKE. IT’S A MANUAL ELEVATOR, WHERE YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR YOURSELF, AND IT’S THE SMALLEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN AND IT TAKES FOREVER. And they don’t even offer you any coffee or soap or shampoo for the bathroom. And when I got there, at 4:30 in the afternoon, they were still making up the room, so I had to wait in the lobby and the TV WASN’T SET UP. No Microwave, no mini fridge, no common area at all. Then the shower was freezing.

The hotel looked fine, the location was great, the staff were helpful BUT I saw two bedbugs and came home covered in bites.
