중국 전통집에서 자는 느낌이 괜찮으나 처음에는 위치를 찾는데 어려움이 있을 수 있음”

TV, 에어콘 등 기본적인 건 갖춰져 있어서 불편함은 없었습니다. 화장실에도 바디워시와 샴푸가 준비되어 있고, 깔끔한 편이긴 했으나 하수구 냄새가 좀 났던게 아쉽긴 했습니다(다행이도 방까지 나지는 않았습니다) 히터가 있긴 한데 구조상 겨울에 머물때는 다소 쌀쌀하지 않을까 싶은 생각이 들었습니다. 문은 잘 닫히지 않아서 손잡이를 잡고 위로 올려서 열쇠를 두 바퀴 정도 돌려야 닫혀졌습니다. 초반에 이 부분이 불편하더군요. 조식은 10위안 정도 받는데(달러로 낼 경우 1달러) 먹어보진 않아서 잘은 모르겠습니다. 생각보다 저렴한 가격에 머물 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 다만, 숙소에 찾아오기까지 과정이 다소 어려울 수 있기 때문에 이 부분만 기억해두면 좋을겝니다. 지하철 2호선 Fu Cheng Men역에선 2번출구로 나온 후 다음 4거리가 나올 때까지 왼쪽으로 직진합니다. 이후에 사거리 보이는 곳에서 왼쪽으로 꺾은 후 버스정류장을 지나 보이는 골목으로 들어가면 골목 중간에 호텔명을 알려주는 표찰이 영문으로 보일겝니다. 그쪽으로 가면 되구요. 지하철 6호선 Xixi역 4번출구에서 내려 버스정류장에서 603, 604번 버스를 타고 한 정거장만 지나 내리면 숙소에 가깝게 갈 수 있습니다. 처음에 찾아가기가 쉽지 않다는 점을 감안하되 지도는 바이두로 검색해서 갈 것을 권해드리고 싶네요.

Descent place, excellent staff”

The room we stayed in was ok, clean sheets, working AC, comfortable bed for two. Bathroom not spacious but worked for us. Cosy courtyard, a bit more worn down than in the pictures. Place is located in a quiet spot down an alley. A bit too far to the nearest metro for hot summer days but close to the main road to grab a taxi. Some good local food spots close by. Staff was very friendly and helpful, from our arrival until we left. We had a good stay here.

I enjoyed my one night only very much in this typical courtyard hotel. It's very relaxing to read 'The Beijinger' magazine they have there and enjoying the hutong/courtyard atmosphere! Very clean room and comfortable beds. Everything perfect - location: follow the instructions some other reviewers already gave und you will find it easily!

Pretty nice hostel”

Didn't expect a mixed-gender room, but it wasn't a huge deal. I just needed a bed and bathroom during my stay, didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hostel. Got to know my roommates a bit :)

Charming place with character”

Despite having a lot of character, I did not enjoy my stay here. On arrival, I really struggled to find the hotel and which is not well signposted. There was no complimentary water. There was also no safety deposit box and I could not lock my door from the inside. I felt that this hotel was overpriced.

I love Templeside! ”

I really enjoyed my stay at Templehouse. Staff are amazing, Moreso, i met friends from different countries, In terms of location, it's very nice since it is just near the restaurants and fuchengmen subway is only 15 minutes away by walking. I would love to stay there again.

Fantastic place to experience the real Beijing”

really loved the homely feel this place had, a far cry from the bright lights of shanghai. bobby and his team made us feel welcome, organised us a safe driver to the great wall and gave us tips on nearby shopping. only about 15 minutes from the subway (and we had an 8 year old with a suitcase on that walk). heaps of yummy food in easy walking distance. table tennis in the courtyard kept all the kids entertained and beers for the dads always available from the fridge. all rooms open onto the central courtyard, which is locked from the main street so you know where your kids are. breakfast is not expensive at only rmb and whilst it may not match the buffet of big hotels it's more than adequate to get you started for a day's exploring.

Interesting experience”

We stayed in November. We were the only guests which was great. I guess in winter the lobby can get very cold and in summer very hot. The hotel staff tried their best. We enjoyed but next time we will try some other Hutong hotel.

Nearly Perfect”

owner/manager "bobby" has excellent english, much better than anyone at the large international hotel we stayed in later in nanjing. and he is very helpful and knowledgeable. can order in quickly delicious food to hotel. authentic hutong area experience, although location is hard to find, even for some taxi drivers, although it always worked out (be sure to have directions in chinese to give to taxi drivers). location is great for visiting nearby white pagoda temple (oldest and biggest buddhist temple in beijing), and walk to subway is fairly easy. local restaurants delicious. short taxi or easy subway to forbidden city/tiananmen square (long walk, hour +). easily arranged bus to great wall.

convenient hotel near the financial district”

the hotel staff are friendly. the location is very convenient. it is near my office and the train station. the room is very clean. the room rates are reasonable. i enjoyed my stay thoroughly. i will strongly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Delightful Experience”

We had a fantastic time at the hotel - the hutong was a joy to wander through and experience Chinese life - the rooms were comfortable and very quiet considering you were in a giant city- the staff were very friendly and helped with valuable information about the surrounding area - the metro was a 15 minute walk but once there access to all parts of Beijing was quite easy - we made dumplings one night and met our fellow occupants, a very fun time was had by all - we would stay there again!

Great authentic Chinese Hotel”

Away from the crowd, in a relaxing atmosphere we found the Templeside Hotel. The staff welcomed us very friendly. They made us feel welcome and arranged bookings and tickets for karate show and bullet train. On mondays at the hotel there is a dumpling making session for each guest to attend. Very nice.

lovely hutong hotel”

The owners Bobby and his wife are actively involved with funning their Templeside units. Staff helped us rearrange our reservation to an upgraded unit for last two days as my daughter finished her studies early. We stayed in VIP room tha easily accomodated the four of us. Walk to the metro was about 10-15 minutes a bit long in the hot summer weather but through interesting areas past food stores and stalls. White pagoda was right behind hotel! A bit too hot to really enjoy the outdoor deck during our visit but A/C in our room was great. Staff helped us with dining recommendations for Peking duck as a great local place, train tickets, laundry and directions.

Made my trip more memorable ”

the templeside staff is very helpful, it was very short trip but with there i could efficiently use my time. while i am travelling to great wall i can book tickets to acrobatics show same evening and day tour for next day and kung fu show for the next day. when i got lost in the city i can request bobby to explain the directions to taxi driver. the rooms were comfortable more appropriate if you visit as a family. i was travelling solo but other people in templeside invited me for old beijing style hot-pot dinner which i enjoyed a lot. it was very nice to know other inmates. thanks for the wonderful stay.

Great experience”

It was a great experience staying in a hutong house hotel with only 8 rooms total. My kids (8 & 11 yrs old) enjoyed it because there were things for them to do. The location was 15 minute walk from the subway (recommended means of travel - clean, quick and cheap fare). English speaking staff were nice and helpful in setting up tours and shows. Restaurants nearby were good and inexpensive.

Lille oase”

nice and friendly place with a very helpfull staff. a little bit far away from everything but a quiet and cosy place after spending a hole day in the center of city. some taxidrivers had some difficulties finding the place but we manage to get there every time anyway. the room was clean and with lots of atmosphere. we had some great days

Mixed bag”

Staying in a hutong is great, and the hutong this guesthouse is in is a really interesting spot. However, the rooms surround a courtyard where the staff continuously play annoying music, and the staff are not particularly friendly or helpful.

トリップアドバイザーでのレビューが妙に高評価で、それに惹かれて中国内からネットで予約して泊ったのですが、ホテルとしては全然評価できませんねえ……。ユースホステルのシングルに泊ったような印象です。着いた日がちょうど火曜日で、毎週火曜の夜は宿泊客で酒盛りをするようなんですが、私もそれに誘われ、小一時間ほど過しました。でも、ほんとは、早く観光に出たかった。ユースっぽい宿泊客同士での交流が好きな人にはいいでしょう。でも、ユースほどには全然安くないしね。

A metà tra un ostello ed un hotel.”

La sistemazione e' ok se non vi interessa particolarmente la privacy - le camere danno tutte su un piccolo cortile comune dove gli ospiti possono mangiare, chiacchierare e giocare a ping-pong. Il bagno ha la doccia senza box e senza piatto e quindi si allaga tutto e resta umida anche la stanza. Le finestre non si oscurano e quindi la luce della mattina filtra direttamente dal cortile (coperto da una cupola trasparente). A quindici minuti da due linee della metropolitana diverse, e' in un tipico hutong ma le strade principali sono ricche di ristoranti, una farmacia cinese, templi, posti per fare colazione all'occidentale (85C ottimo caffe'), una libreria cinese e vari altri negozi. Forse per un prezzo analogo si rinuncia all'atmosfera dell'hutong ma si ha piu' comfort e in una zona piu' centrale. C'e' una stanza "VIP" a due piani e con vasca ma e' troppo cara.
