Nice location and friendly staff”
We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is great, close to beach and restaurants. Room facilities are good with big TV (65 inch I think) and with nice view to the street / beach life. We had a good time here and will be back another time for sure!

Great hotel”
Booked at the last minute and was very glad to find a beautiful hotel. Love the swimming pool. The room smelled bad, but after the staff sprayed it with air freshener, the room was ok. Had a good sleep.

Wonderful for family”
I just visited there during weekday after the lockdown. The room is promptly upgraded to superior. Since not many people there, some facilities are cut. The hotel is directly in front of the beach. The room is nicely renovated with a big balcony. There are two pools, one always on the sunlight and one undershadow sandwich between building. I had a good time.

Methavalai very good”
The Methavalai hotel is a comfortable, modern hotel with onsite car parking. The staff is friendly and efficient with good English. The buffet breakfast is very good. The large modern room was clean with a clean modern bathroom. The hotel is less than 10mins walk from many shops,bars,restaurants and less than 2mins walk to the beach. The shower, airco, lighting, flat tv, wifi all operated well. There is good cupboard space,extra tables, chairs, a safe and frig. The hotel is excellent and recommended for all travellers.

Great location and clean room”
Nice location beach front. Room is very spacious and clean. Pools are big. Great environment for family vacation. The only thing that I don’t like is breakfast choices.

Good pool close to beach”
Close to the beach. In fact it took longer to walk from our room to the front of the hotel than from Rhett to the beach oon the other side of the road. The beach is shallow when the water is lower but does slope more during high water. The main pool is fine with an area for children and another at the other pool on the opposite side of the hotel closer to the separate wing. A quick warning, you need sandals when waking round the pool as the decking gets very hot. The room was fine which was in the reiterate wing behind the main hotel. My only criticism is they need net curtains in the window as you need to keep the curtains closed if you want any privacy. I don't think I've ever seen an hotel without nets even when it's a high floor that isn't overlooked. The breakfast was very good. We used the restaurant one evening and that was very quiet and the food was good.

Mostly excellent”
Great location, right opposite the beach. Comfortable chairs out the front so you can sit and shoot the breeze. Nice swimming pool and pool area. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom, with bath and shower. Excellent shower pressure! WiFi signal very good. Very big flat screen TV if you've come on holiday to watch TV you won't be disappointed. Nice fish tanks in the lobby area with an interest variety of fish. Staff friendly and welcoming. On the negative side. Beware of rooms advertised as "sea view". The view is actually of the garden and pool area. Yes, you can see the sea but you have to crane your neck to see it! Regarding the breakfast, check with the hotel to see if the buffet breakfast is on. This is well worth the money. In these quiet times if there's not many guests it's simply a set menu and it's just not worth the money. You can get better all-day breakfasts at coffee shops along the beach road at half the price. Finally the fitness room is appalling. I don't think any money has been spent on this ever. The equipment is old, broken and cardio machines not working. All that aside it is good value for money and I would return if I'm down that way again

The hotel has good rooms with nice views. A good pool. The restaurant serves good food and nice service. Safe parking. Across the road from the sandy beach.

Great Hotel with One Exception...”
Really, it's a good deal. Great breakfast, spacious room, clean pools, perfect location, and the housekeepers and valets are super nice. Only the managers at the desk were a bit rude to me... and that's a rare experience in Thailand, so I gave 4 stars. Everything else was perfect.
