Nice Property near Central Park”
Nice and helpful staff, convenient location and comfortable bed. In rooms there are books about NYC's architecture, shops, poems and stores, which are very sweet and helpful.

A lovely hotel but was slightly surprised as when I booked I signed up for the Viceroy. ”
The hotel was bought out by the Meridian and remodelled, so didn’t have the boutique look that the Viceroy had, or the extra touches. The hotel is more mainstream rather than the boutique touches that I prefer.’ Otherwise it was a lovely stay in a great location. Staff are friendly.

First they have me a room with blocked view, after keeping me waiting for 3 hours they changed the room to more reasonable room. The very loud fan in the bathroom can’t be turned off in all of the rooms and it will keep you up all night! Next day I used the hotel dryer to blowout my hair which went on fire after a minute and the funny thing is I couldn’t even the front desk since the phone in the room wasn’t working!!! Yes, that’s right! I tried to enjoy the entertainment (speaker) in the room which was broken too!! The room service food is terrible!!! I ordered a smoke salmon sandwich and they brought me burnt bagel deconstructed sandwich with tiny amount of Salmon for $18!!! Definitely not recommend this place as I really care about the whole experience and it was a pain throughout!

Had to ask to move rooms because there was plaster falling off of the walls and general ‘unfinished’ finishes to the room. Arriving at my second room I had to get housekeeping to come and clean obvious dirt and marks. Again, unfinished shower head in the wall but I hadn’t the energy by this point to change rooms again. Concierge were helpful! Location is great if you want to be in the city. Bathrooms are a bit small! Wasn’t the same looking room as the pictures at booking. Won’t personally stay there again. Stayed in Williamsburg before and enjoyed the hotel much more. However, for value for money this is a cheaper option and therefore might work!

Fabulous place- hidden fees”
I would have given it 5 stars across, but upon checkout I was surprised to have a $33 a day facility fee that was never disclosed upon my booking or at check in. The ‘free water and wifi and access to a gym’ were the reasons for the fee when I inquired. Already a very expensive hotel, the extra $125 upon check out felt like a blow. But on the great side the hotel was fabulous- great staff, ambiance, location, and food. Just would prefer up front fees to be included in the price.

New Art Deco hotel”
Stylish, Close to the park and Trump Towers on fifth Avenue . Very convenient to spending time in the lower east and west of the sides without taking the subway or a very cheap taxi ride. It was not convenient for the subway to and from Penn station ---plan on a bit of walking better to take Texie

Stunning Art Deco Hotel”
Probably my favourite hotel in NY so far. The original art deco solid timber features and stunning bathroom are proof that they don't build 'em like they used to! Huge windows overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city, but very quiet at night. Only complaint is that the aircon/heating system was temperamental and kept switching itself back and forth between cold and hot. The staff could have been a little friendlier but overall we were very happy with our stay at the Viceroy.

Bad experience”
Hotel was very poorly kept and dirty. I only stayed one of the three nights and moved to a suitable property for balance if stay. Most Viceroys I have been at are not run down like this one. Lobby and bar are nice but rooms and hallways are very dated, Poorly kept and run down.

Stunning design and mega comfort and luxury, made our final night in NY something to remember. Definitely a place to stay for that special night, or longer if you can afford it. Check out the rooftop bar and restaurant!
