Koh Chang Tai hotels & places to stay

We stayed here on our first stop on our holiday in thailand. The rooms was a welcome sight after a long flight. The room itself was stylish with beautiful wood work and attention to detail. The staff ensured we knew everything about the room and facilities when we arrived. The location is out of the main party drag which suited us fine, but if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere this is not the place for you. There is a lovely pool, which had a great view and loungers perfectly spaced out for an element of privacy. The food was lovely, fresh and not too expensive, having the dinner tables set up on the beach was a special experience. There is also an amazing masseuse right on the beach who was so talented and not expensive. The staff were so kind and helpful, eager to please. We had to catch a ferry to the out next destination, the sailing was only once a day. The hotel organised a transfer from the island to the other ferry port (around 3 hours In total), when they checked in with the driver to find out our progress, they realised due to traffic we would not make our outgoing ferry if we took the same car the whole way so they sorted out a car to meet us from the Koh Chang ferry to take us the whole way to the other ferry so we didn't miss it. they used their initative amd went above and beyond in our opinion. If you want a relaxing stay, in a beautiful location and to be taken care of by a warm of caring team of people I couldn't recommend this place more. We stay again!

It's always hard to tell just which reviews are true, the ones that tell you what you really want to know. There are plenty of positives about Tropical Beach. If you are stickler for perfection, you will find plenty that is not perfect. But the positives far outweigh the negatives. The silence. The stillness. The staff. Yes, it is at the end of the road, remote, but not isolated. Yes the beach is not perfect, but there is plenty of sandy bottom very nearby. The water is shallow and low tide is not for swimming. But if you like swimming, this area is perfect. Young family? Perfect. want peace and quiet? Perfect. Want variety for eating? Walk down the beach. Want a motorbike? They have one. Want reliable, consistent internet. Not perfect. My one true beef. Don't expect wifi in the room, but somehow the hotels next door and beyond manage to perform in the public areas. Overall a very positive experience for my first time in Koh Chang. Never wanted the crowded beach bar and party scene. Really lucked out.

Me and my girlfriend booked this resort last-minute, most places were already fully booked because of a Thai holiday. We didnt really know what to expect but we couldnt have been luckier. Our stay in Chaipura was fantastic. Its located all the way on the southern part on the Island, in a very nice, quiet secluded but beautiful part of the island. If youre coming for a beach holiday, this is not the place to stay. But if you want peace and privacy surrounded by nice views this must be one of the best choices on Koh Chang. There is a small but nice beach a 1 minute walk away. Not spectecular, but you might easily have it all for yourself. The bungalow itself is great. Spacious, very clean, comfortable bed, big tv with english channels, good wifi, hot shower, minibar, etc etc. The interior was simple but stylish, we felt 'at home' immediately. The spacious porch is a great place to sit and relax. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Lovely people who really go out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. Every single one of them. We are still impressed and this is one of the reasons we will surely come back to Chaipura one day. It doesnt happen often to feel this welcome on a holiday and we cant thank them enough. If this all wasnt enough, the food in the restaurant is delicious. Prices are very reasonable. The included breakfast is very good, and we had dinner every evening in the restaurant. Not something we usually would do. We highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet, beautiful location on Koh Chang. The island is not that big, so if you want some action its not far away even though it might feel like it when you are in the resort. P&J

this resort is located in the very south side of koh chang island.the resort is actually the last hotel and resort in koh chang.saying that,once i got there i could not stop admiring the view and the scenery.this place is great for couples ("a couple's retreat" kind of island)and families. once i arrived i was offered a cold drink and many smiles. my room was upgraded (due to low season) and i was given a beautiful room. the room was cleaned daily and well maintained. upon departure a beautiful nice receptionist named teng assisted me to get contact with my ride back to bangkok,all in proffessional caring and friendly manner. (web joked about her being tengmoo which is in thai - watermelon,and me being falang which is thai for guava) the island itself is just a jem.everything you know about white sands,blue green lagoons and romantic adventures is realized in koh chang. i would recommend everyone to stay where i stayed and have a visit in koh chang.

A great place to unwind and watch the world, it’s the best TV in the world! All the staff are so helpful, they will laugh at your bad Thai, get you cheap deals on anything you need, but the best thing is that they are all very trustworthy. I did not lock my door once, they look after the environment and the view from the bar and beach front properties is amazing. YuYu Beach is a secret beautiful hideaway, no loud cheesy music, just great Thai hospitality, and you can even join in with family barbecue if you want! Staff work very hard to make you feel part of the family, show respect and they do the same. I did not get paid or receive a discount to write this review, and I would have stayed all year if I could :)

Indie Beach Bungalows is an absolute gem. The location right on a fairly remote beach couldn't be more ideallyic. The owners have done a brilliant job decorating and creating relaxing, uplifting atmosphere. The staff is warm and friendly. The beds are super comfortable. I slept like a baby and woke up refreshed and happy each morning. Book here; you won't regret it!

The owner is very kind and accommodating. Each bungalow is equipped with a comfortable bed, mosquito net and fan; a clean bathroom with shower (no hot water) and western flushing toilet. Windows are louvered glass and there’s a lock for the door. The front porch has a hammock and sitting area. With lights, electric sockets and free wi-fI as well, it’s hardly primitive. I spent a full week there, and enjoyed every lazy minute. Klong Kloi Beach is the end of road on Koh Chang, so it’s much less developed and crowded; a village of bungalows, restaurants and dirt roads. You come here to escape the noise and pollution and live more simply for a few days or perhaps for months at a time. The beach is narrow, but gorgeous and shallow (watch out for the rocks) and lined with tiki bars, restaurants and kayak/snorkel rentals. You are set back, about 150 meters from the beach. Bang Bao Pier is only 3 km away, for boat trips, shopping and seafood restaurants. Yak Bungalows is a great choice!

Wee & Pea are the sweetest hosts. They welcome you in their awesomely built jungle paradise with everything you may need and more: comfortable rooms, kitchen, laundry service, common area, free tea/coffee, clean bathrooms, special seafood bbq... smiles!:) Everyone I have met here is so friendly. The best beach of Koh Chang imho is a short 5 min walk, and on the way you'll find the best wood fired pizza and some cool Thai eateries most reasonably priced. The setting is exceptional, and for the price, hard to find anything better in Koh Chang. If you planned on staying 2-3 nights here, think again; you'll want to stay as long as you can...

We enjoyed our stay. Our 2 bedroom duplex was beautiful, had everything we needed and lovely towels and bedding. You could cook all your meals as no proper restaurant yet. The pool was nice and the location. It could be a 5 star once it's finished but isn't yet. The duplex was perfect for our family though and we would go back if we could get another discounted price. Not sure I would pay the full price to stay here though.
