Excellent beach front resort”
Koh Ngai is basically beach. There are 11 resorts scattered along about a 2km stretch. We got there via Air Asia land/sea option and it was very straight forward and well organized. On arrival at Trang airport, a man was waiting with a sign to take us to the pier. At the pier we were dropped at a small shop to wait for the boat transfer. For both the car and the boat we were the only customers. Air Asia advertises the boat goes to Koh Ngai Villa - but the boat stops at any resort you tell them. They also pick up from any resort but you have to let Koh Ngai Villa know in advance where you want to be picked up, The Fantasy Resort was good value for money. They seem to have lots of room options including new private villas with pools right in the front. We got a beach front room which is a small section of 7-8 older rooms off to the far right side neighboring Thanya Resort next door. It was a great view and nice deck chairs which you can move down to the sand. We were not expecting the tidal changes to be so dramatic - high tide you cannot stand up within a couple of meters from the shore so great for swimming. Low tide you can walk out more than 500 meters over coral and rocks so great for walking. Day trips are what everyone does and there are lots of options up and down the beach at the various resorts. We ended up choosing the 10.30am 4 Island option offered by the Fantasy Resort and we are glad we did. It was a small group of just 13 people and a reasonable boat with 3 crew. 2-3 nights was enough at the Fantasy Resort. Next time we will look for an Island with villages and more local culture but for a relaxing beach vacation this was a good choice

FANTASY Resort , everything is really fantasy”
The first time to Thailand ,I spend the wonderful time here in Fantasy Resort .I got to know my Thai friend TOP , the waiter here, actually he is not only a waiter but a friend to most of the guests. Sincerely thank TOP for the very good service during my stay .He is just like my friend .Also it was a cheerful expierence to get to know my frined Scott,from USA in Fantasy Resort. Now in May is the low season for Koh Ngai,a few people in the island, very quiet and the beach very clear. As the raining season ,sometimes rain. sometimes sun shine,for me it is very good weather , not too much hot.Except for not so many choice for the food , especially for seafood,I think it is very good time to come here for vocation , lower price for expense but the same for good view.

Nice resort on a relaxing island”
Very helpful staff. We had two separate reservations (5 days in a deluxe room, 5 days in a standard room) and when we asked if we could change the reservation and stay all the nights in the deluxue room, there was no problem to fix that. Great place for couples traveling with children, the staff was very good with all the children! The deluxe room was very clean and the bathroom modern and big! Good hotel restaurant but you should also try the other restaurants around the island, "Koh Ngai Camping" is placed right besides Fantasy and has lovely food and friendly outgoing owners, the bartender also makes the best drinks. We had a lovely stay!

My 3rd time coming to Fantasy Resort.. ”
Very pleasant stay.. have been to Fantasy Resort for 3 times. Will definitely come again. For dinner, i would suggest to walk 300 meters along the beach to Koh Ngai Villa. Koh Ngai Villa serves authentic Thai Food and cheaper price.. very satisfying..

Beautiful and so relaxing”
Our stay was thoroughly enjoyed by all and expectations were exceeded especially after reading some of the previous reviews, being low season really suited us as it made for a very quiet resort, weather was picture perfect!! The beachfront rooms are definitely the go!! Overall a nice resort and would stay again for sure, yes a lot more pricey here for food etc but have to expect that really, we tried out some of the other resort restaurants just for a change, much the same in price but a nice change in scenery, koh hai is a good place to relax and swim, not a lot else to do but nice to get away to an island paradise. Downside is the wifi only works in the restaurant, and one 4 slice toaster to share amongst all guests and no kayaks available, also some menu items and tours not available due to low season but a great time as family was had all the same.

I enjoyed my stay at Koh Hai Fantasy Resort. I'm not sure I would call it a Fantasy. But it was nice. The island is a bit isolated, but that is a great thing. I did think the beach area in front of the resort was a bit small. But you can easily walk alittle bit down the beach to find a quiet spot. I thought it was a good value.

Paradise on Koh Ngai”
Wonderful- v friendly reception staff. Great breakfasts and huge New Year's Eve dinner . Loved our family villa- best accommodation for our family of four in all of Thailand. Hotel is much more luxurious than described online. Love their Blue Lagoon coffee shops and relaxing seating areas! Decor is wonderful all around the public areas! Koh Ngai has a beautiful beach for walking & jogging on, great jungle paths to explore the other side of the island and up to the viewpoints there. Not easy to arrive on the island when the seas are rough as longtail boats cannot get v close to the beach so you will get VERY wet! Waterproof handluggage would be useful! 4days probably enough as no village here but I loved it & would definitely recommend for peace and quiet and lovely hotel!

Almost great”
this is the first hotel i have stayed in via agoda that actually wants the printed out voucher. so far all others just need the booking number. that made check-in a slow and very annoying experience. other than that its a good place to stay. the staff is good and so is the restaurant. and the location is awesome. the room was clean and spacious but lacked hot water. all in all koh ngai is a wonderful place to visit. and so is fantasy resort due to what i consider good value for money.

on the best part of the beach”
Breakfast is fine but the same every day, swimming pool (our baby likes pools) is far from the beach. Resort itself is very big especially for an island like Koh Ngai, they have lots of different room types, some are on the hill and far from the beach. We had cheapest room, but very lucky to have seaview (literally 10 m from water and balcony with really good view). Many units look just to another unit's wall. Room itself is very simple but fine, water in shower wasn't working properly, was either very hot or cold, changing suddenly, impossible to wash baby. I'm not sure I will stay here again, but there's not much to choose from on the island.

A place to relax!”
This was our third visit to Koh Hai Fantasy Resort. The island of Koh Hai is very small (only a handful of resorts, no roads or villages.) Its a great place to relax and stare out across the sea. The rooms are not spectacular but very decent, with air conditioning and warm water. The restaurant has good food and there is a bar where the super charismatic Barman Ray makes the best cocktails on the island! For the price, its definitely worth every penny. Our favourite is hillside superior where you hear the crickets and frogs serenading you to sleep.

Fantasy resort, a place to come back to”
We use to stay at Koh Ngai Fantasy Resort when we travel around among the islands of southern Thailand. You know what to exspect of standard and price. The restaurant is excellent and the many kultures that gather on this Resort is always intresting. So it was also this time. Still we was a little bit disappointed cince we did not find the room we was presented was what we expected. we tryed to upgrade but that was not possible. there is no chance to get a clear wiev of where the room is situated from the Agoda homepage.

Excellent! ”
We had 4 nights here. There is a speedboat arrived at beach directly, very convenient. The house is good and beach is quiet. Before arrived at Koh Ngai, I was worried about no shopping there, but there is a small shop in the resort and you can buy beer, snacks and common medicines. We had a buffet dinner at Tuesday night, we loved it. Strongly recommend to all kinds of visitors.

Family friendly resort in a beautiful location”
Despite the increase in the number of resorts on Koh Hai, Fantasy Resort and Spa is still a great place to destress and get away from it all. Accomodation and facilities are generally of a high standard and it was clear that the resort has spent money recently on refurbishments to keep it that way. We love the islands and coral of the Andaman Sea and this is a great base also from which to explore. There's a tour shop and dive shop so the resort can meet the varied requirements of their guests.

Well located resort at wonderful beach ”
Koh Ngai is an beautiful island with a marvelous sandy beach. The Fantasy resort located at the best part of the beach. You can walk in the sea without hurting your feet for snorkeling at the reef. The rooms are a bit outdated but the facilities, bed and shower are well enough.

Nice hotel on a perfect beach”
We stayed at the cheapest room wich was great Big and had Ac. Refrigerator. Hot water. Nice big bathroom The decoration was Old fashioned but we enjoyed our big room very close to the beach (only few steps from the beach - second row room no.102) Bod get breakfast was great We ate our lunch and dinner at Koh Hai Villa They had good food ,low price The beach in front of Koh Hai Fantasy was beautifully,crystal emerald clean and calm water and a white sand with chairs for free The Wifi is not free

Lovely resort ”
Lovely resort to stay with children. We travelled with 2 and 4 year olds. The beach is great in front of the resort. The massage are available. Breakfast and food was really nice. room cleaning was made each day. Beach towels available at the reception. we really liked it. The island Koh Ngai was amazing and will definiattly go back. very quiet island with beautiful beach. no party happening so great for relaxing holidays and for travelling with kids. it was stunning. the reception team very friendly. I would say only that the laundry service was overprised but hey its small islands. we loved it.
