Had an amazing stay at Freedom Hut! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for an adventurous, fun getaway. The rooms are HUTS so if you are not OK with being in the wilderness I would not recommend staying here. Island is not very populated so if you are looking for a place with a lively night life Koh Jum is not the place for you. Stopped here for 2 nights while Island hopping and was extremely pleased. Explored Koh Jum by moped during the day. Absolutely stunning scenery. Koh Jum Freedom Hut bar & restaurant is something out of a dream. Island music, lights in the trees, and delicious margaritas and food. Would absolutely return.

The best place we stayed at in thailand so far ! Quiet, beautiful, and comfortable!”
The remote island of Koh Jum was such a relief after staying in noisy, dirty, Krabi. Being away from tourists and loud music, plus the relaxing, minimal island life is so much more enjoyable. You can rent a kayak, or a scooter here, and the "town", or really just a few stores and some restaurants are a 10 minute walk away on foot. I would recommend the more expensive rooms on the A side, since they have screen doors and windows, as opposed to the cheapest ones our friend stayed in, which basically was open, but with mosquito net over the bed. Still he had a great view. We loved freedom hut and hope to be back next time !!

Best place on ko Jum ”
Fantastic location, with two beaches. Only 15 minuts Walk to a charming little fisher village. The staff is superb. Everybody are very friendly and helpfull and doing their very best to make your stay comfortably. All bungalows are spacious, clean and facing the beach what is special compared to the other resorts on Koh Jum. The food is great and the prices fair. Motorbikes, bicycles and kayaks availabel and very good massage.

Fantastic spot on Koh Jum”
Freedom Resort is a magnificent place with a beautiful view on a beautiful Island. The staff is so serviceminded and sweet, the place is well maintained, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. The location is peaceful and its a nice walk from the pier through the town and the little mini jungle to get here. We saw monkeys everytime we went that way :-) The only thing to be aware of is: The bungalows are really warm inside during the night - the fan is not the most effective in the world. We would definately return another time. My best recommendations.

We stayed in the beachfront hut - it was beautiful hut right on the empty beach. The restaurant at Freedom was really good - great food and drinks. It was 15 minut walk to the village to more restaurants and shops. Good massages in the resort. They organised a great trip for us to 4 beaches with snorkeling (1000 tbh per person).

Lovaly place”
We spent two nights there, bungalows are on south and west side. We had one on the south and they are not so close like bungalows on west but still very close. Restaurant and reception is very good, with fire at night and lovely staff. We rent a scooter there for 250THB/day and visit whole island within 3 hours. Very peaceful and wonderful place/island, south-west part of island definitely is much better so resort is very good located. Scooter taxi from port is 50THB/person. You can buy tickets to Krabi directly in resort and they pick you by long boat to the ferry (about 9 a.m. and it's only option). Island is very quite, only scooters and no cash machine, but you can pay by card in the hotel (4%). Bungalows were rather simple, couple of ants and insects, only windmill but door has insect shield, there was lizard but for us it was totally ok. The biggest disadvantege is that there is no hot water in the whole resort. We saw other hotels a bit north cheaper and with hot water.

Great resort, a bit pricy for Koh Jum”
The resort itself is superb, however rather expensive compared to local standard. After arrival, however, we were informed that „we are full”. Of course, we were also having reservation made in advance, but anyway for first night we were sent to other (a bit worse) resort. And that was a surprise: nobody warned us in advance. Apparently they can overbook; and what is more- some customers (like us) are classified as of worse category. Even if we booked „super premium bungalow with seaview”. We just paid less for night in other resort, but no other compensation was offered.

perfect location!”
Location is perfect and they take good care of the property (they clean the beach and the paths everyday). Food was alright and cost approximately the same as on the rest on the island. Kayak is not free (100 Baht per hour), they rent Motorbikes (300 per day). We did book the treehouse which we were very excited for and they screwed up our booking. We got a very nice room instead but that was a pity. It’s pretty hard to communicate with the staff because their English is not very good. But they meant well and were very nice.

Way overpriced for basic living”
Pros: the location was great. Their beaches were clean and with the beach side bugelows, you could walk right off of your wonderful porch onto the beach. Most of the service staff was extremely polite and helpful. Cons: Beds are extremely firm, and I mean extremely firm. The first room we had only had cold water, which can be nice if you're coming in from a hot day on the beach but a shower after sunset is quite unpleasant. They don't provide you any drinking water (not a huge deal but at the prices they charge to stay there it was a bit of a surprise.) On a morning beach run one of us got surrounded by a pack of wild dogs who were only scared off by a nice man charging with a stick at them. Overall the resort is nice but way overpriced, I'd find comparable housing on the beach again but way cheaper. Of note. reception tried to charge for a dinner from the night before (which we'd already paid) and then got frustrated and short with me as if it was my fault somehow?

to expensive.the staff speaks very bad english.no AC. BUT....it is a fantastic place and i would definetly come again. they should install fridges in every bungalow!!!! the restaurant is not good for vegetarians and it is very expensive.there are no alternatives nearby

Best in Koh Jum”
Best location on the island. The only spot to get both sunrise & sunset. The tree houses are awesome. The boys serving are amazing but the girls behind the desk are really grumpy & hard to get a smile out of.

STUNNING”
The treehouse was incredible! You would watch the sun rise and set from bed. The staff were wonderful and our stay was amazing! 10 out of 10!

Beautiful setting, terrible accommodation and resort”
The beach was absolutely stunning, clean and the views were amazing. Our room smelt damp when we arrived, but we put it down to being basic living. We went out to enjoy the beach, and returned for a very quick shower - which was freezing as there's no hot water - in the evening. There are numerous holes in the accommodation, so we shared this time with ants, flies, mosquitos etc. At night we outside at the restaurant which had no atmosphere what so ever. We ordered a cocktail, and once finished were ushered out as we "could only sit there if we were having a drink", which was disappointing as it was our resort! We returned to the room in pitch black as they hadn't lit the path, only to find a family of cockroaches all over the bed and in our luggage. We were moved to another room, which had lizards and ants in, but we made do for one night. Only allowed one drink at breakfast, which was minimal also. We left a day early as the accommodation and atmosphere was awful.

Great location and delux fan bungalow was ok but very expensive for what it was. Bar and restaurant 50% more than in village. Never responded to numerous email we sent them before we arrived. Great long beach and location.
